Beautiful mission style home is a great base for day activities

Lovely home and well maintained grounds with propane gas grill, jacuzzi, and lots of outdoor space. Two king beds and a full with two full bathrooms. With six adults we had one sleeping on the couch, but the full may work for two smallish kids. Master bedroom has a snug shower that worked for us, but may be tight for someone who is tall and/or large. Dining table worked well for our six adults. Good counter space in the kitchen with three stools for additional breakfast seating. From the house highway 395 is just a couple miles away and you can get to Mammoth Lakes in about 40 minutes and the Tioga pass Yosemite entrance in about 70 minutes. Owner is nice and easy to contact.

Lovely property with large garden

It's a lovely old house originally a farm house and has wooden floors and paneling, so lots of character which we like. Very spacious with three good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms. Big lounge and kitchen too. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need including lots of condiments and spices left by previous guests which makes shopping easier as you already have the basics. There is a great raised deck area with the hot tub and steps down to the lawn and a fabulous alfresco area with gas barbecue, settee and table and an arbour with a dining table and chairs. We were out there every night cooking and eating and then sat on the deck listening to the crickets and looking at the stars. There is also a creek that runs around the eating area and through the garden which sounds wonderful. We like Bishop as it's a nice quiet town and a great base for hiking the trail heads in the surrounding areas. The hiking is stunning, so much beautiful scenery. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable farmhouse and would definitely return for future holidays.

Hikers Paradise

Karen was a fabulous host & the home was amazing! It is located in a beautiful area surrounded by mountains and felt like a home away from home! The hot tub was a big bonus after mountain hikes and the backyard was our go to relaxing spot! The kitchen was ready for those who love to cook (as we do) and shopping was very close. We want to visit Bishop again in 2022 & truly hope we can stay in this darling home! Thank you Karen!

Our stay was wonderful and our host was extremely accommodating. A beautiful home with beautiful decor a kitchen that made cooking too easy. We especially loved the jacuzzi, starry sky and the lighting in the trees that only enhanced the serene experience. This is the place you want to got to recharge your battery.. Gracious, welcoming Farmhouse

The Bishop Farmhouse was even better than we hoped. The beautifully furnished, large, art-filled house feels nicely lived-in, with a generous deck, outdoor BBQ/dining space, grass yards in front and behind, towering, mature trees (sparkling nightly with projected twinkle lights) and wide open views of the Inyo and Sierra Mountain Ranges on both sides of the Valley. We will definietely return!

Great Relaxing Stay in Bishop

We have spent a very nice few days at Karen's house. It is a very comfortable home, we enjoyed our evenings by the wood stove. Our chocolate lab Thalia enjoyed the large yard. Karen was very responsive when we had to reach her. The kitchen is very well equipped, more than we would need and the house instructions are very clear. The heating worked very well. We will definitely be back.

Charming farmhouse with the perfect mix of coziness, history and family-friendly space

First, a huge thank you for the excellent communication by the owner, Karen. From the moment we booked this rental, she was proactive to reach out and give us all information needed. Onto the magic of this property...my family of 4 had the absolute best time here. A perfect retreat from the city life. The house is so warm with all the perfect little touches from the fresh flowers, cozy couch, well stocked kitchen and bathrooms, to decorative pieces and art, all the way to original rich hardwood floors and the vine-covered outdoor dining space. My kids played for hours in the large yard with the little brook, giant apple tree and running around the open yard. It's the kind of space that evokes feelings of magic of family gatherings at the holidays (did I mention the large farmhouse dining table?), of joy and contentment. The location is perfect too. Close to Mammoth or June Lakes or even just exploring Bishop. There's endless possibilities to connect with nature! Lakes, hiking, fishing, etc! Very highly recommend this property. We look forward to coming back in the future as well!

Best of Bishop

We loved our time at the farmhouse. Well stocked, super clean, and plenty of space! The house has so much character and stays cool in summer. We loved listening to the little creek while our kids enjoyed the large yard. Kitchen has everything you need and more. The hot tub is a great way to relax after a day of hiking and fishing. Beds were comfy, one was soft and one was firm, everyone slept well. Close enough to town, but far enough to feel like you have privacy. Excellent communication with host, Karen was so quick to respond And very helpful! We would book again, if more dates were available ;)

The house is so comfortable. Our family loved having Christmas here!

The house and location was wonderful. We love traveling with our dogs, so the area around the house was very dog friendly. We also appreciated that the kitchen was well stocked. We highly recommend this vacation rental.

Dream Vacation

The house was beautiful and was exactly like shown plus extra things to make it even more special like the little lights in the trees and over the greenery....it was magical. The location was perfect for town visits and going up the mountain for fishing. It's very private and the cabana area is wonderful at night where you can hang out, BBQ and even hear little frogs and wildlife with the brook running through the property. The house was furnished with everything you would need and it is plenty big enough if you want quite time. We had a wonderful time and can't thank Karen enough for sharing her beautiful place with us. Karen was quick to respond to a couple questions and addressed our concern to our full satisfaction. We will be going back next summer. Thank you Karen for a wonderful home to make our vacation special. Ben and Linda

The Perfect Bishop Retreat

Like stepping back in time to the 1950's. This rustic, warm and inviting home is beautiful with incredible wood floors and wainscoting. The surrounding yard is serene with green lawns and mature old growth trees. A river runs through it (ok, a brook) that really adds to the magic with subtle sound and reflections. Plenty of privacy and lots of room inside and out. The beds were super comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of light inside with an abundance of wood should you decide to use the inside or outside stove. Clean and well maintained, your stay will not disappoint. Thank you Karen and Steve for a great stay!

Wonderful

Perfect location and house, slight lack of communication deducts a star due to approving a request and then not following through. Everything was as the listing said.

country home at its finest!

From the moment we drove in, I felt right at home! The private yard, with all the plantings, the creeks, lovely fall colors in the trees, the surprise at dark with the lit up trees, croquet games, beautiful decks for outdoor eating, and that is just the outside! The house was lovely, light and comfortable! The bedrooms were light and spacious. The kitchen was well furnished with everything I could think of and more. The dining table was great for playing games, or just visiting. We enjoyed watching movies and videos. The living room was spacious and comfortable we didn't need the wood stove, but had we stayed another day or two, it would have been warm and cosy! We would like to come back again next summer or fall. Thank you Karen and Steve for such a welcoming stay!

Karen's delightful craftsman bungalow is a relaxing homebase for your Eastern Sierra adventure!

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, quiet three bedroom craftsman bungalow one and a half miles from the the center of Bishop. The house is tastefully decorated with living and dining rooms that comfortably sit six including a woodburning fireplace and flat screen TV. Our group enjoyed preparing meals together in the large well stocked kitchen which included nice sharp knives. Each of the three bedrooms has a very comfortable, firm bed. We soaked in the outdoor jacuzzi on the back deck while viewing the desert sky. There is also a nice outdoor grill and shaded eating area that we did not use because it was chilly.

My family and I have stayed in the farm house several times and in all seasons. The house is too good to be true really. Such country charm and very quiet location, well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, just to name a few. The scenery from all sides of the house is incredible. The back yard has a jacuzzi, bbq, outdoor seating and nice deck with a view of white mountain. The town and restaurants are 10 minutes one direction with the sierras and lakes 10 minutes another direction. Karen, the owner, is very accommodating and efficient. Honestly, you will not be disappointed with any part of your stay here.
