The Diamond "B" a Cozy Cabin Retreat - Perfect for.riding the Dragon and more.

The Diamond 'B' cabin is located 12 miles South of Maryville Tennessee and 12 miles from the start of the "Tail of the Dragon" . We are located on the West (Peaceful) side of the Smoky Mountains. The cabin is just a half mile off of TN Highway 72 about two miles from where 72 intersects US 129 - Pumpkin Center. It's a great location for biker enthusiasts & sports car enthusiasts or folks just looking for a get-a-way to a peaceful relaxing cabin. Location is just a few miles from the Foothills Parkway, the US 129 "Dragon" Harley Davidson outpost and the infamous 'Tail of the Dragon'. Twenty-four miles from Deals Gap Motorcycle Resort. Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge are both about an hour away. One bedroom and very spacious with a gorgeous well equipped kitchen with a bar that overlooks a nice sized living room. Sleeps 6 comfortably.

The cabin has many great features. FREE WiFi A one bedroom with two full bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen with a Jenn-Air range that allows for grilling indoors, a microwave oven and built-in dishwasher. Two decks for you to kick back a relax and enjoy the outdoors. You'll also find a washer and dryer and boot/glove dryers in case you happen to get caught in the rain. Several games and videos for any downtime you may have. Located just off highway 72 on 3 acres of ground on a quiet paved road. Only a few miles from the start of the 'Tail of the Dragon' and several other great rides located on the outskirts of the Great Smokey Mountains. The cabin is stocked with plenty of maps with suggested rides. And if you'd like we can give you our personal favorites. We have a list of some of our favorites. Along with a few points of interest in the area.

Nice place

Nice place to go and explore the mountains. Enjoyed the ability to lock up my cycle. Bathrooms were a bit small and difficult to shower if you are tall like me. Tub was dirty and ran out of hot water before 1/4 full. Smelled a bit musty when first walking in are being gone.

Great hideaway close to Dragon's tail

This house has wonderful charm and the decore is perfect if you're there to hit the I-129 road know as the Dragon's Tail or any of the local rides. It's located on a back road with very little to no traffic. It has great outdoor sitting areas where you can watch fireflies in the evening. I was able to wash my motorcycle with the retractable hose and spray nozel provided. If you don't want to watch your own streaming service, there are lots of movies on dvd or even vhs. I would love to stay here again if I'm in the area.

The cabin seems to be clean. But there's some issues we like to report.. 1. There was food left in the refrigerator and freezer maybe from previous renters. Can goods and other supplies in cabinets. 2. The jacuzzi didn't work. 3. Human Hair in tub. My girlfriend was very upset 😡.. In the brochure it saids no WiFi or internet. Please consider having this available. More lighting upon arrival... In part. Quite and relaxing...

The Cabin was very nice and worked out good for my family

We enjoyed the cabin. The only thing we didn’t like was location. If I was going to ride my motorcycle it is perfect and that is what Jeff the owner said. It is just a long way to drive to get to other places, hiking,rafting and Gatlinburg area. It is just the way Tennessee is. Plan 2 hrs for 40 miles. Overall the cabin is very nice and it was described well on Vrbo. Thank you opening up your cabin to my family!

Deals gaps getaway

This location was easy to find, paves driveway for motorcycles and very close to the start of the tail of the dragon. Very cozy home with ever you need. I would definitely recommend.

Get Off The Grid

If you want some time TOTALLY off the grid, this cabin is PERFECT. The surrounding properties are quiet, the moon is bright, and the stars are beautiful. It's peaceful and serene. We cooked, rested, and just relaxed. Wonderful week!

A place for respite

Property as described, we were in town to deal with family business, so was nice to have a VRBO to come back to with some space to relax. This perfectly met our needs, and was really convenient that is had two full restrooms, much better than having to stay in a hotel room. Only negative which is noted in the listing, is no wifi, nor did we have cell phone coverage as this is remote.

Gets the job done

Decent, no frills place. Liked the location, away from the hustle and bustle of places like Gatlinburg. The bed is pretty terrible. It's very loud and uncomfortable. Admittedly I'm used to a King size temperpedic at home, but this bed is definitely ready for an upgrade. Wasn’t a fan of the fact that there was no mattress cover, just a sheet. The shower is also...different, but gets the job done. All in all, it had what we needed for our 3 day stay. We were always out early and back late, so we didn't need the TV or much else than the bed and shower. Nothing fancy here, but everything you pretty much need. Again, appliances are old but working. I always seek out places with a washer and dryer (thiers are nice and big here), that's one of my main goals so that all we need is a carry on. We aren't bikers, so can't speak to that...but seems pretty cool to be able to garage your bike during your stay. Super easy, no hassle check-in/check-out which is always nice.

Social distance getaway

We were a little disappointed when we realized there was no tv connection to watch the news and weather. That being said, this was one of our best vacations. We were there to ride the mountains on motorcycle. The cabin was wonderful. The owner thought of things that might be needed, I'm guessing being bikers themselves. We rode and grilled our food and had a fire before we turned in. We were not disappointed with the accommodations or the shed we could keep our bike in. Thank you so much for our stay. We did go through the movies at the beginning of our stay (wide selection) and selected a few. We were so tired when we got back to the cabin each night that we never watched anything. Thank you for having them available just in case.

Way back in the Hills

The add said it was remote and it is. It's 15 miles from anything. We loved it. It was scenic and quiet. Virtually no neighbors within earshot. We were without tv, internet, and satellite and it was wonderful. The owner had a DVD library and player, so we had some entertainment. One of the most peaceful weeks I've ever spent anywhere. The "Dragon's tail" was close by. That's one wild road to ride. The Chechowa Scenic trail was close as well and is a beautiful mountain drive. Our accommodations were excellent. Would go back again. Good value.

A spacious private getaway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Very quiet, and a full range of amenities (2 bathrooms, full kitchen, large bedroom) made for a nice place we could truly rest and have all we need. vast collection of DVDs to enjoy, too. T-Mobile couldn't find us for cell service, but a short drive took care of connecting if we needed to. I only wish I had brought my motorcycle, it is perfectly located to enjoy the "Tail of the dragon" for touring.

Motorcycle Trip

My friends and I came down from Ohio for a motorcycle weekend in the mountains. The cabin was cozy, had plenty of room for 5 adults, and had a wonderful garage to keep the bikes secure overnight. The owner Jeff was polite, helpful, and easily reached if we had any questions.

Why they chose this property

It's a perfect location to ride some of the best roads in the States of Tennessee and North Carolina. It's located only about 45-50 miles from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The great Smokey mountains are beautiful any time of the year. My wife and I just love East Tennessee. New in 2016 we added a garage and lower concrete drive.easy access and a place to put your toy(s) inside out of the weather.
