Fun Memorial Day Weekend
Clean and comfortable for six adults and three children. Over the course of the three days, we used all four rooms and most of the amenities. Appreciated the fire pit and lots of space on the property for fun and dog play.

Fall break
We had a wonderful stay at the Teton Cabin! There was a bit of a snafu with the code to get in but the owner answered her phone immediately and we were able to solve the problem. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The location couldn’t have been better, close to everything and was very quiet. We would definitely rent this cabin again! Thank you for a great stay!

Deer right up to the cabin, elk bugling in the distance. Quiet, a bit of heaven. Lovely surroundings. Hated to leave but hope to visit again soon.

Family time
I’ve always camped in Greer, AZ when I was younger and I wanted my family to enjoy what I did. Myrick Cabins provided that memory for my family. Great place to stay and location was perfect. We say deer had great walks and best of all enjoyed time together in a warm cozy cabin. Best time ever!!!!

Family Trip Greer
Great location close to the three lakes in Greer and the only grocery type store in town, Lazy Trout. Perfect size for our family six, all adults. Personally wouldn't want too many other adults, but the bunk beds would work for smaller children. Nice fire pit and horse shoe area. Secluded area in the pines with a few neighbors but felt like we had privacy. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen pretty well stocked with essential pots and panes, etc. Bring your own shampoo and conditioner and bar of soap, spices, paper goods, etc. The store in town has minimal items with a hefty price tag. Both bathrooms on the main floor by two of the bedrooms. Other two rooms upstairs not by a bathroom which was fine, just nice to know the layout. Responsive host and available to answer questions. Would stay at any one of their four cabins for location, cleanliness, great host, ease of checkin, etc. Love the small town feel of Greer and accessibility to so many outdoor activities.

Lovely cabin
Our family enjoyed our stay at the Teton cabin. It was clean, well stocked, and plenty of beds for the fam. Very beautiful during winter with all the snow around but I'm sure it's just as lovely during the other months. Host was easy to reach and responded in a timely manner. Would definitely stay here again.

4 cousins fishing trip
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Teton Cabin. We were in Greer to be close to Big Lake. The road to Big Lake is right by the cabin. The furniture and beds were comfortable, all appliances worked and the instructions for check in and out were easy to follow and reasonable to do. The 4 fishing cousins highly recommend this property.

Great clean cabin!
We have rented many Cabins from Greer to Flagstaff and this cabin was very clean and tidy in comparison. The cabin is in a great location and we enjoyed the nice porch while it rained. Again, very neat, clean and tidy place. Pride in ownership shows here!

Great place
The place was nice and the area was clean. My family enjoyed the stay. One tip... if u have elderly people or ones in your party that can’t do stairs the Teton cabin is not for you. They have some really steep stairs to the bedrooms upstairs. Overall this place was great.

Family reunion
Easy to find location just outside Greer. 10 miles to Eagar if you want a store, gas, restaurant or park. Enough room for kids to climb up and down the hills. Trails nearby for short hikes, and taking kids along the creek in Greer for them to play in the water is fun. Greer lakes require a car; I would not call them within walking distance.

Cabin Fun
The cabin was comfortable, clean and fully stocked. With a gas fireplace that we used early mornings, took the chill off. We walked every day. Had wonderful meals at Molly Butler’s Lodge Restaurant. The food was very good. You must try their ice cream! There is not a lot to do right in Greer. However, a lot of outside activities all around.

About the host

Hosted by Kathy Myrick

Host profile image
Kathy and Cliff were born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. They met while working for Southwest Gas Corp. The cabins are named after some of their favorite areas in the Yellowstone National Park area. We both love the outdoors & fly fish, kayak, canoe, backpack, hunt and hike.

Why they chose this property

My grandfather purchased 38 acres in Greer in 1948. This land has stayed in our family ever since. My father and I enjoyed many times of camping out on the property and fishing the Greer Lakes and the Little Colorado River. The old Greer Road, used during horse and buggy times, is still visible as you drive up our driveway looking to the south. Until recently, there were still two old cabins partially standing along with two 1920 vintage cars. If you climb the ridge behind our cabins, you'll be able to see a beautiful view of the Greer Lakes. There are also little cave places up there. Our kids loved to grab a lunch and head up there to play. Lone Wolf (the famous artist)and my grandfather were friends, and Lone Wolf used to rent one of the old cabins on the property. If you head to the Butterfly Lodge Museum, you'll find some of his art work.

What makes this property unique

My wife I designed and built these four cabins. We enjoy 32 acres of undeveloped land of which we are part. The Greer Lakes, which are on national forest land & stocked with trout, is just across the road--a short walk. We are two miles from Main Street, Greer. The shortcut forest road to Big Lake, Alpine, and the heart of the White Mountains begins 200 feet from our driveway. Some of the most beautiful country in Arizona is up that way. On a recent drive and hike near Big Lake, May, 1, 2015, my wife and I saw one very large black bear, elk, mule deer, turkey, blue heron, osprey, and geese. We love where we are because we are in the middle of it all.

The cabins are all chalet style with large front windows to watch snowflakes fall, stars glow, and trees sway, and also... the aspens on the ridge. Enjoy your kids or grand kids start their first campfire, play horseshoes, have BBQ's , and volleyball games. One particular early December, a large family reunion enjoyed an evening of early snow. One little six year old boy started the largest snowball fight I had ever seen. We ask that you try to do different things when you are here at the cabins...where magic can happen.
