Villa with pool and views to Mont Ventoux

Contemporary style modern house with an open aspect and views to Mont Ventoux and the Dentelles hills. Set in a private, well maintained garden. Exclusive access to the pool and whole garden.

Situated on the edge of Mazan, the house is close to, but well screened from, a road leading into the village meaning there is easy access to nearby amenities. It is a convenient 5 mins walk to the supermarket and 10 mins walk to village centre. Mazan village has shops and a variety of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. The local area has many attractions within an easy 15-30 minute drive; markets, gorges, outdoor swimming, cycle hire, adventure tree zone, caneoing, historic sites. Convenient local bus stop for Carpentras and Avignon.

The house has 3 bedrooms, each with en suite showers. There is an open plan lounge-dining-kitchen. One of the double bedrooms is an adjoining and self contained annex with it's own private terrace. In summer outdoor living is a must and there is an outdoor dining table and sun loungers and chairs near the house and pool. The pool is a good sized 10 x 4m with steps for ease of getting in. There is a fence around the pool for the security of young children.

There is WiFi, a DVD player with a selection of DVDs and an internet enabled TV.

Bedlinen, towels and pool towels are provided. Non smokers. No dogs.

very enjoyable stay

the villa is situated in a convenient location, close to all local amenities- very comfortable, perfect for a summer break with the family. Mosquitoes were a bit of an issue though, nobody's fault.

Confortable et bien située

Agréable maison confortable, propre et super bien équipée. La piscine et les coins ombragés sont un must durant la période chaude ! De beaux villages à visiter dans la région et des marchés (Mazan, Bédouin, Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Vaison-la-Romaine, Orange..!), de plus la vue sur le Mont Ventoux est magnifique.

Superbly equipped, light and airy house

This is a quality house and clearly used as a home by the owners. The level of fixtures and fittings are superb with an impressive amount of crockery, implements etc, including sharp cooks knives (a personal bugbear of mine, being a keen cook!). The pool is a good size and there is plenty of outside furniture too. Mazan is superbly situated to explore northern Provence and especially the Mont Ventoux region and has good restaurants and bars.

Lovely House

Our 3rd stay at this property. The house is well equipped and it is a bonus to have the pool. Close to shops and good restaurants. Plenty of places to visit in the area.

Well-equipped, comfortable house in convenient location

Very well-equipped property with everything we could have needed during our stay. The house has a range of comfortable outdoor, shaded areas (ideal in very hot weather) as well as a very welcome pool. Plenty of outdoor furniture. Beautiful view of Mont Ventoux. We could hear traffic noise from the roundabout but it was not intrusive in the slightest. Very convenient supermarket a 2/3 min walk away and only a 10 min walk into the centre of Mazan. Beautiful towns and villages to visit in the area.

Great pool

Convenient location on the edge of Mazan, easy to walk to bakery in town or supermarket. Villa is comfortable and there's plenty of space around the property for relaxing in the shade or sitting in the sun. The pool is great, well looked after and a good size. My family would happily return here.

Fabulous villa in lovely Mediterranean garden

We spent a wonderful July in this lovely and well appointed villa. There was everything we could have wished for in the house and garden. The swimming pool was well maintained and refreshing in the hot summer weather. The garden was extensive with shadey areas to relax. Local amenities were available a short walk away in Mazan. There are great areas around Mont Ventoux and interesting perched villages to visit. We were a family of 6 plus baby and everyone was well catered for. We certainly hope to visit another time.

FANTASTIC !!!

We stayed at the property for 11 days and found it to be exactly as describe and more . It is perfectly layed out for 2 couple's with each having there own bedroom and ensuite. The house's kitchen is very well equipped for cooking including a great barbeque.The house is very central to so many sights all within easy driving time. It was also so nice to be able to walk into the village of Mazan for dinner or for desert.It has been mentioned in past reviews the the roundabout can be noisy .....we had no issue with noise and found the backyard area to be a fantastic area for a glass of wine and appys , and yes i think pizzeria da Mazan maybe the best pizza I've had. I can say with confidence this is a fantastic rental unit and the owners Sarah and Ron are very quick to answer any inquiries ! Thank you Sarah and Ron for making our vacation stressless,we can't wait to return! Eric ,Lisa, Wayne , Lorraine

Restful week in Mazan

A very comfortable well equipped house and within walking distance to the village where there are good restaurants especially the pizza restaurant. Went there three times. Our second time at the house and felt at home straightaway. Plenty of lovely villages and vineyards to visit . Good markets at Bedoin and Vaison la Romaine.

Well appointed. Good location. Good centre for Vaucluse

We had a great time at Mazan The house is well appointed and in a good location. We have three teenage children and the ensuite facilities were ideal. The pool was well used - warm but refreshing. The view of Mount Ventoux is a perfect backdrop. The location is convenient and pretty quiet (the roundabout did not really disturb us) and the well stocked Super U is very handy with an excellent, friendly butcher. We have friends with a house in Bedoin so this was convenient for exchange visits. We also had great pizzas from the Pizzeria de Mazan - reportedly the best pizzeria in Provence. They were delightfully thin and tasty. We chose takeaway but the restaurant looked inviting. All in all, we can highly recommend this house and Mazan.

Retirement Trip Leg 5

The house was quite lovely and very well equipped. We enjoyed our time there with family and the pool was great with the very warm weather. You can tell the the owner takes great pride in the house and has tried to ensure that everything needed was there. Just needed to make sure that the house was closed up fairly early in the day to keep it cool as it is not air conditioned. We would definitely if possible stay there again.

A good base to explore from

Prior to our trip, the owners were very responsive to questions and booking/payment etc. Was straightforward. The house was nicely furnished with everything that we needed, including many cooking, households items and home comforts not usually included in holiday rentals. The house is located a short walk from Mazan and well-located for a number of different day trips. There was plenty of outside space with multiple seating areas and the pool was well maintained. The only negatives for us were as follows: When we booked, the details didn't mention that one of the bedrooms can only be accessed through an outside door (not through the main house). This was not a problem for us but for families with children, it might be. The house is located next to a roundabout and there is pretty continuous traffic noise in the garden which we also noticed, at times, from inside the house. Other than those two points, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Excellent

We stayed in this property for just under 3 weeks and it was fab. The pool was great and enjoyed by us all. The house itself had nearly everything you could ask for, the only thing that was lacking was a TV that you could actually watch English channels on as opposed to just watching DVD's. A fabulous family holiday

We spent three weeks at this property in France and really loved it. The property was clean and very much as described - it actually felt bigger than its listed 65m². Our group comprised two 80+ year olds and our 17 year old daughter - so we put the house to a multigenerational test - and did not find it wanting. We appreciated the three en-suite rooms and the fantastic pool - which is serviced every week. The kitchen was fully equipped, allowing those of us who enjoy cooking, to make the best of local food. The beds were comfortable and the weather was so hot, that there was no need for duvets or blankets, meaning the fans in each bedroom were very welcome. The sitting room and the outdoor table & seats offered plenty of space to relax and read or generally chill. Great care & effort has been taken in the design and maintenance of the garden - which offered a lovely place of shade and calm - where the loudest noise came from the cicadas. The village is only a short stroll and the supermarket is conveniently close. Sarah & Ron leave good instructions on the property and great suggestions for activities - many of which we did and thoroughly enjoyed - especially the market in Carpentras (reachable very comfortably and cheaply by bus from the property), following the lavender route to Sault and taking the "Kayak Vert" tour to L'isle sur la Sorgue. We discovered a very good local restaurant called L'Oulo. Mazan is in the middle of a wine region and try as we might we could not find a single local wine that we didn't enjoy! In fairness we should mention that it is next to a small traffic roundabout - which is fairly brightly lit at night- but we were never bothered by traffic noise and found that in the evening the garden at the side of the property offered a great place to stare at the night sky, free of the glare of the street lights. All in all, a very enjoyable, well placed property, outfitted with all the comforts of home. We can highly recommend this property.

We love the area, it’s wonderful markets and we have yet to sample the wine of all the Mazan cellars! We are using the opportunity of renting our home to travel more widely.
