Really lovely Summer House. Well equipped too. Richard is a nice and helpful person, good to have met him. I shall tell my friends about this gem. Just right.
What a wonderful place to stay! Small and perfectly formed, clean and had every thing we needed. Beautiful surroundings far from the noise and bustle of everyday life, perfectly located to explore all the New Forest has to offer. Host was fabulous, not that we ever met face to face, great communication and everything worked so there was no need! Would recommend very highly indeed and rebooked without hesitation!
We had the pleasure of spending 2 nights at this lovely rural retreat Well equipped and in a quiet locationCommunication with the owner was good alsoWould Return for sure
Superb place to stay, very clean, nice and quiet. Can walk to 2 different pubs , the Filly inn and the Red lion both with 20 minute walks. Or just chill in the peace and quiet. Would definitely recommend
Amazing set up, great communication with host and just what we needed for a perfectly quiet weekend getaway. Can’t speak highly enough of the whole experience.
We had a lovely stay. The location is great, in the woods along a quiet lane. Very quiet. Connected to nature.
The cottage is very small but nice and cosy and great for two people.
Bed is comfy. Shower is great. And a shed to keep bikes.
All good.
Will come again!

Another great mini break at this idealistic location with perfect accomodation.
Fortunate to have met the host Richard, very nice helpful gentleman nothing is too much trouble for him.
We will be back hopefully soon.
This was our 4th stay at the property. Lovely new fitted kitchen made the summer house even more lovely than before.
Great location. Lovely and peaceful. Helpful host. Excellent communication. We have already booked to go again next year
Whilst the holiday home is in the owners garden, it is very much separate and some distance away from their own very large property and garden. It's to the side of their home so not overlooked, with its own entrance and fenced off garden. The garden and car parking area are combined within the holiday home area and dog friendly as it is very secure. We had separate reason to contact and meet both Richard and Becky [otherwise we probably wouldn't have met them] and found them both very friendly, obliging and helpful. Nothing was too much bother. The actual holiday home is fairly compact being a converted Summer House, but even with 2 adults and 2 medium size dogs, it was fine, you soon adapt to size and felt cosy and safe. It might just be a little too cosy for 4 adults in my opinion. Just one observation for those who have mobility challenges; both the bathroom and Kitchen are one step down from the bedroom and lounger/diner respectively. The outside space is much the same, there is one step down from the parking area into the garden leading into the holiday home; that step can be slippery when wet. The Kitchen has been replaced since the Summerhouse photos were taken, so its actually much nicer. The patio area is also larger. The approach roads from the main road between Brockenhurst and Lymington are single track but few vehicles use them. It's roughly 10 mins by car to either town, and not much longer to Beaulieu. We had a lovely 2 week stay. Thanks.
A lovely break from the hustle and bustle of modern life.
A well equipped, beautifully thought through space. Small but perfectly formed!
Thank you so much.
A lovely little place to stay, off the beaten track.
The dogs throughly enjoyed it.
An added bonus for us was having Netflix and a very comfortable bed.
Would definitely stay there again.
Great little hideaway in a great location. A lovely place to unwind for a few days. Our pooch loved it too! Very quick communication when I had to email about an issue. Will recommend!
Second time at the Summer House. The best indicator i can give is i read 2 books.
The location near to Lyndhurst and to Lymington is perfect for reducing travelling. Never realised how close we were to Beaulieu and Bournemouth. A day at Beaulieu wasn't long enough so a return is on the books. Travelling to Bournemouth and other seaside places is a waste of the tranquility of the stay. Walking the New Forest, on the doorstep is a dream.
We will return in a heart. Alan
A lovely property with a secure garden for my dog and access to the owner’s garden where you can meet Tilly the friendly black lab. Richard was an exceptional host and came to say hello after check in. The location is great. Down a very quiet country lane but close to both the New Forest and the Solent.
Totally sweet summerhouse, nice and private and very secure. Unfortunately the weather didn't oblige for most of my stay but everything I needed was there to make it comfortable and homely. There's a lovely farm shop and small garden centre nearby if you need anything in a hurry rather than going to the supermarket.
Well equipped kitchen and quiet spot in a small space, secure garden outside for the dog.

About the host
Hosted by Richard
Becky, my three young daughters, and myself have lived in the New Forest for ten years now. We couldn't imagine living anywhere else. This idealic location has so much to offer right on your door step. Becky teaches part time at a veterinary university, and works at a vet practice when she is not teaching and I have a small business in the centre of Lymington. We both sail as much as possible and race on Thursday nights and Saturday afternoons. I am a volunteer of the Lymington RNLI so if you hear the car racing off in the middle of the night you will know why!
Why they chose this property
We live next door and aim to make your stay as memorable as possible. The cottage is very private, however, we are around if you need us and we hope to be around most of the time to help with any queries regarding the cottage and where to go and visit.
