We had a lovely stay at this great little home away from home. A good size apartment, nice decor, balcony and the perfect location for us to visit friends close by. Easy walk into town and a stone’s throw from the railway station. Very responsive hosts as well.
Everything was in its place. Great location and ample facilities for night and morning stay. Bus route nearby and a store for breakfast food. I recommend this to couples and look forward to staying there again.
This was our second time booking this property. As usual, the owners are welcoming (even with self check in/out) and respond quickly with any questions. We had a wonderful time with family for Christmas and New Year’s—the only bad part was having to leave Cambridge. Highly recommend this flat/Amy and John!
Great location; convenient to rail station and grocery stores. Quiet place to stay. Comfy beds--even the sofa bed. Appreciate the quality of the cotton bed linens and towels! Everything is in top notch working order and VERY clean! We so appreciated discovering the small milk in the refrigerator and snacks upon arrival/after traveling. Thank you again for allowing us to stay at your lovely flat!
Newer apartment walking distance from the City Centre
Clean, bright and well equipped apartment close to train station, cafes and restaurants . We walked to the city centre and also took the taxi, 6-7£. We appreciated being a little removed from the more touristy areas.
This is a superb apartment ideally located for the station, shops, restaurants etc.
Perhaps surprisingly it is also very quiet: ideal for work in the day and the evenings.
Very impressed with the apartment. It was excellently fitted out and very clean. On the first floor but didn't hear any noise from the neighbours.
A couple of minutes walk from the station but no train noise. The station is well provided with buses into the centre though we walked in taking 20-30 minutes.
Went for a walk along the Cam, visited Bury St Edmunds, Ickworth, Wimpole Estate including the farm and an excellent trip to the IWS Duxford. IWS is well worth a full day visit.
For parking at the apartment we got a week pass at the station car park for £46.
We have truly enjoyed staying in this apartment. It faces not the street but an interior courtyard so it’s really quiet, and it really feels like it’s brand new. The communication with the owners before the reservation was fast and friendly. Absolutely recommended for anyone getting to Cambridge by train.
Well equipped modern flat with everything needed for short or long stay. Two minutes from the train station - about twenty minute walk into center of Cambridge. Quicker by bus or bicycle. Quiet loacation as flat faces into a small park.
Location, location, location -- this flat is very near the train station and a 15 min walk from the middle of town. It's very well equipped and surprisingly quiet. Cute little balcony gives you some outdoor space as well.

A very quite place to stay and all facilities are in the area. Like a super market or restaurants. We very much enjoyed the area and a lot of things to see and do. In the apartment a good bed, bath and cooking facilities. We are going to recomended this to our friends. THANK YOU.

This is a great place!
This flat is wonderfully appointed, quiet, and in an excellent location. Walking into central Cambridge and the colleges is a straightforward 30 minute walk, and it is so easy to take the bus. I was doing research and this flat was the perfect respite at the end of long days. The nearness of places like M & S Simply Food (my favorite) makes eating in really easy. Amy and John’s lovely and creative information book was spot on and perfectly helpful. I can not recommend this place more highly.

Well appointed, well located and quiet
A perfect place to stay in Cambridge. It was a short walk into town and very well appointed. Bed was comfortable, shower powerful, kitchen well equipped and the flat was stylishly furnished so felt comfortable and homely. If I was being picky the kitchen bin was my least favourite item - what a faff to throw one’s rubbish away! But would highly recommend and would definitely like to stay again when in Cambridge.

Charming in Cambridge
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Cambridge, and John and Amy's delightful flat was a treat! Excellent central location, close to restaurants and groceries and the train station. The flat was comfortable, quiet, very well-equipped, light and bright, with all sorts of thoughtful touches not usually found in rental units. We felt like privileged guests! The balcony overlooking a central garden was a grand surprise. Amy is a sweetheart! We'll definitely try to stay with John and Amy again on our next visit to Cambridge. Thanks a million!

Very nice flat in convenient location.
My husband and I traveled from Florida to attend the Cambridge Folk Festival in August of 2018. This flat, near the train station was perfect for our stay. It had every convenience that you could ask for, and made our visit perfect. John and Amy had provided us with written information upon our arrival, with suggestions about restaurants, pubs and other local attractions. We had a couple of days before the festival, and were able to take advantage of the information. Cambridge is a very accessible city, and walking was the best way to get around. Public transportation is also very good in Cambridge. Also, if we had questions, the owners were available for quick answers. Thank you John and Amy for hosting us in this lovely flat.

Beautifully decorated modern flat in a great location
We stayed here for a week in May. The flat is in a relatively new block of flats in the newly renovated CB1 district of Cambridge. It is a two minute walk to the Cambridge train station, and a minute more to the several bus stops at the station. Within a 2- 3 minute walk are three small grocery stores that are open most of the day 7 days/week (a rarity in Cambridge). There are also several nearby coffee shops and nice quick eat in or take away restaurants. The bus way/bicycle path to Addenbrooke's hospital, the Cambridge biomedical campus, Trumpington, etc. is within a few minute bicycle ride of the flat. Central Cambridge is a 20-30 minute walk or a 10 minute bicycle ride away. The flat is on the second floor (with an elevator), facing towards a small green, and is devoid of any traffic or train noise. The flat is a somewhat larger one bedroom flat, with a combined kitchen and living room. The bathroom is large, with tub, shower and heated towel bar. It is very well insulated and has an efficient heating system. The furnishing are modern and the decor is tastefully modern. Storage space is adequate in the bedroom. The building has a secure bicycle storage room. The owners, John and Amy, were very responsive and helpful. It was a pleasure to stay here and I look forward to staying here again.

About the host
Hosted by John & Amy
Our family has lived and worked and even studied in the area for a long time so we know it well and are always happy to pass on any advice we can. As a family we are foodies so in particular we can recommend the best that Cambridge has to offer from our experience. We are also keen cyclists and can provide bikes and suggested routes on request.
Why they chose this property
This is a family run small business, as frequent travellers ourselves for both business and pleasure we know how important it is to have somewhere to stay that can feel like a home from home. When we set up the apartment we wanted to create a space that would be able to cater for the business city worker and could also feel equally comfortable to someone visiting the beautiful city of Cambridge. This apartment is perfectly located to help us achieve this goal.
What makes this property unique
Cambridge is a fascinating city to explore and a place we love. The apartment is ideally situated to easily enjoy the city life. We loved its location and the high standard of the build when we saw it, its blank walls allowed us to input our stamp on the place. The decor and furniture is all handpicked by us, even down to the photos on the walls which we took. If you would just like to take in the city at your own pace then some of the highlights would include; The University, the punting, the Fitz William Museum, the Botanical Gardens and of course the shopping.
