River Front Cabin in Plain, close to Lake Wenatchee
Short term rental #000168
This is our family cabin that sits on the bank of the Wenatchee River, near the town of Plain. The upstairs loft has a king sized bed and two single beds, the downstairs bedroom has a king sized bed. It's a really comfortable place, much better than a boring motel room. The outside deck is a great spot to hang out, you can see the river from the deck.
The kitchen has everything you need to cook and there is a Weber grill on the deck.
This area is central to the great outdoors, you can ski in the winter or bike and raft in the summer. Leavenworth is a 20 minute drive and Lake Wenatchee is 10 minutes away. This is best for a family or two couples.

The location was spot on as to what we were looking for.......river was beautiful and relaxing. We usually venture out into different areas to explore, but it was so calming right there on the waters frontage, that we decided just to stay in, relax and enjoy the surroundings! It was just perfect for two elders just taking it all in and kickin' back! Thanks for the great stay!
A beautiful cabin right on the river ! Surrounding area equally stunning ! Host was amazing at communicating ! The neighbour was a gem and went out of her way to ensure we were able to float down the river !
We enjoyed our weekend stay at the cabin, however felt spied on by the neighbor. The owner had contacted us in regards to our fire pit, that was clearly allowed by the owners rule book, that portable fire pits were allowed.
His concern was that we may damage his deck which is a little odd since he has his bbq sitting on the deck. Other than that our stay was amazing with a beautiful view.
Loved this place! A perfect weekend away, just a short distance to town, but in an area that is quiet, calm, and enjoys the sights & sounds of the river.
The cabin was right next to the Wenatchee River.
It was absolutely fantastic and exactly what me and my family needed.
The place was clean. All lights and such were marked which is awesome for my OCD. Everything from chairs to the couches to the beds were very comfortable.
The views and the scenery were remarkable. It was simply beautiful. We will be back.
We will definitely be back! This cute little cabin exceeded our expectations. There is too many things to list about awesome this place is. Here is a few things that made our trip! the amazing cd collection and indoor/outdoor speakers, clean and comfortable beds, sandy river front beach, and a friendly community. This was the perfect cabin. Looking forward to next year already.
After a rocky start with booking we got signed up.
This was our sixth booking at this cabin if memory serves. It is always a joy to deal with the owner by text or phone, the cabin is always clean and just a joy, whether summer of dead of winter.
Thanks

this place is by far the best you can get closer to Leavenworth and at the same time far enough to get some nature for yourself. It has everything inside that you need for your family
Well loved cabin by the Wenatchee River in Ponderosa development was charming and well equipped for our weekend. We enjoyed Plain, Leavenworth and Lake Wenatchee environments. The sounds of the river were wonderful.
This cabin was perfect for our little getaway. We loved that it was right on the river. Unfortunately, there was still a lot of snow on the ground, so we couldn't use the fire pit. But, that just means we'll have to come back again. :)
The cabin is a great one. It is quaint little one located right on the river with every amenity you need. The loft is nice an cozy in the winter. It is close enough to town to visit on a whim, and Wenatchee is not much further than Leavenworth. The neighbors are friendly (wave and say hi when walking by if you in the front). Lots of activities in the area for those who are outdoor minded (Winter sleigh rides are great). To top it off, Brian is the best host we've delt with. He is very responsive to queries and always helpful. We look forward to renting again in the future.

Liked: Amenities, communication
Disliked: Cleanliness
The plow truck was unable to get to the property before we arrived. Walked through fairly deep snow to access the property, almost fell once inside due to slick floors. Quilt on king bed was dirty, stove was dirty and filled the house with smoke when I went to use it. Stereo didn’t work properly. Only half of the Christmas lights worked. My husband has mobility issues and the only tv was upstairs. Sent an email to the property manager and no response. Won’t stay there again.
My friend and I enjoyed our short (3-night) stay at this cabin immensely. It is comfortable—including and especially the beds—exceedingly well-appointed and supplied, friendly and enjoys a fantastic view of the river. The water pressure is great, the hot water is hot, everything works, and the surrounding environment is beautiful. Our host, Brian, is attentive and genuine.
We would love to stay here again.
The cabin is clean, with all the comforts of home already there. Great river views. Excellent communication from the owner and prompt replies to any questions made for an easy and relaxing stay. This was our second visit and we'll certainly book here again.
We love Brian's cabin on the river. The views from the large windows are beautiful, especially from upstairs. We have gone for skiing for two years and Plain has not disappointed with fresh snow. Brian was awesome in responding and supporting us through the blizzard of the century this month. He is very responsive and helpful with any questions, needs. Will go again.
We had a wonderful time staying at this cabin. Very comfortable, beautiful views of the river, away from the hustle and bustle of Leavenworth, but close enough to get there easily. Great restaurant nearby in Plain and easy access to a number of activities. Would definitely stay here again.
We had a great time at the cabin. Love to come back. It was stocked all the supplies you could possibly want or need. Loved watching it snow from the upstairs loft.
Stay number four, was as wonderful as the first three stays. The cabin, well a great stay and the owners are always responsive and helpful when a question arises. As we have stated before we almost don't want to talk it up as it just might make it harder to book the next time. Ok, ok. Its a great stay and we recommend it fully without hesitation.

About the host

This is our family cabin; as our kids have gotten older and involved in sports, etc. we are not able to get to it as much as we would like. It's a great place to relax or to explore the area. Hiking and biking are minutes away, the river is right out the front door.
Why they chose this property
The cabin is a great getaway, but it is close enough to Leavenworth if you are looking for something to do in town. There are also some wine tasting rooms that have just opened up in Plain. The cabin is in a development called the "Ponderosa"; it is a quieter scene and not the place if you want to have an all night party. Because the property is on the river I don't like to rent to families with infants or toddlers, especially in the spring when the river is at it's peak.
