Maui Sunset is a 5 acre beach front resort in South Kihei.
1 bedroom unit, Sleeps up to 4 people, with 2 bathrooms for easier showering!

My wife and I went to Maui in early December to celebrate our honeymoon. We stayed at Caroline's Maui Sunset condo in South Maui in sunny Kihei. Let me begin by saying that pictures do not do it justice. The location of the condominium is central to all kinds of shopping and activities including gift shops, grocery stores, fine dining, pharmacies, open markets and some of the best snorkeling and turtle viewing beaches.
The Maui Sunset has many fantastic amenities to offer its guests and residents. The pool area is large and always has plenty of sunny seating....The condominium provided more conveniences than were to be expected. The look was very modern and up to date and included several appreciated amenities such as a new TV, a full kitchen complete with all varieties of both utensils and cookware, plenty of comfortable living and dining room furniture and a cozy patio.

Comfortable stay at Maui Sunset in Kihei

We had a very comfortable stay at this property. The condo was well stocked with everything needed to cook or BBQ just outside the lanai. The bedding was "COMFORTABLE"! Just what one wants after a day of vacationing. Having a washer & dryer in unit was certainly a bonus. It's location to the on property beach and Kihei were ideal. This is a very family friendly resort with the large pool, hot tub, putting course, and tennis/pickle ball courts. They also supply the equipment, and other games, from a closet in the pool area. The owner, Carolyn, was very easy to communicate with. Would definitely recommend this condo.

Perfect ocation, pool, grounds, &amenities. Quiet at night. Great for all ages, couples, families. Beach is right there. Enjoy maui sunset while you bbq, breakfast on the lanai! Condo was very clean, owner very kind & responsive. Master bed firm &comfortable great sleep. Sofabed not a normal mattress maybe for child? Futon mattressok few nignts. Would book again!

Great Experience

The accommodations were as noted on the website. Being on the ground level, for us worked out great, as it provided easy access to others in our party who also were on the first floor. It also provided an easy access to the courtyard, pool, and beach. The courtyard was very impressive and well maintained on a daily basis, and to see the maintenance crews clean the outside grills on a daily basis, explains why the stainless steel grates shined every evening before they were used. Communication with the owner was straight forward and easy, whether by email and/or text. It was easy to access the beach and to put in as long or short of a walk as you desired….this location was centrally located and provided easy access to travel to anyplace you wanted to go….it was a great trip 😊

Great Location and Potential

This apartment is in a great location with a great pool. This is the reason for my 4 star rating. The accommodation is clean but sadly is tired and worn. It is in need of some refurbishment to bring it back to form. The sofa bed is bound at the bottom edge with string and my daughter found it uncomfortable. It does benefit from a new fridge and cooker, but more TLC is required. The owner could easily enhance the guest experience in the condo with some investment.

This place is exactly as pictured. Communication with owners was prompt and very helpful! The location of this place is perfect and the complex has so many amazing amenities (pool, beach, BBQs, putting green, tennis, etc) it is close to many restaurants and markets! We just loved this vacation!

Caroline’s condo was just perfect for our stay in Kihei! We are a family of 4 with kids 6 and 8 years old and the condo provided everything we needed for a 2 week holiday!! The futon and sofa bed were perfect for the kids, all the dishes and appliances you would need are available and Caroline was very very easy to communicate with! The grounds for the complex were immaculate and the kids spent countless hours in the wonderful pool!! We walked along the beach outside of the condo almost every morning and found sea turtles basking on the beach most days! All in all we had a fabulous family vacation and I would book into this condo again for our next trip to Maui!

The oceanside Maui Sunset is a beautifully maintained property with a large pool to accompany it. It is a very large property with a beautiful setting and at the end of the day, you can observe the sun going down.

We so enjoy the Maui Sunset ground floor Condos. They have easy access to the manicured grounds, the barbecues, and the pool or beach. It’s also a short walk to some great restaurants and the grocery store. Very convenient.

Maui Sunset

Needs lots of updates. All bedding, towels, etc. were quite worn. Grout very discolored making it appear dirty. Electricity (outlets, switches) very old and outdoor outlet looked truly dangerous. This condo is located in a very noisy spot where every noise outside echoes. The facility was located in a very perfect location! Excellent surroundings, near shopping, dining, etc. Even the very nearby beach was fabulous. Would stay again but perhaps an upper level condo.

Beautiful property

Everything was wonderful! Location was perfect! Ground floor with sliding patio door made it super convenient to get to and from the pool and the beach. The bed wasn’t my favorite, but it got the job done. Very pleased with our overall stay!

Overall a great stay

We enjoyed our stay in the condo. The pros: The location is fantastic! Our 5 year old and 3 year old enjoyed running around on the lawn while we ate breakfast on the lanai. It was great to be able to walk to the beach and the pool was a highlight. Staying in Kihei was a central location and the drive to Wailea and Lahaina was not too far. We really enjoyed the low-key vibe of the town. The kitchen had everything we needed to make a few meals. We got a lot of use out of the cooler, the beach chairs and toys, the boogie boards and the beach towels. There was plenty of free parking at the complex. Cons: The condo was not sparkling clean. Nothing that warranted a call to the owner but some hair and dirt in the corners and crumbs under the furniture. The instructions to use Netflix didn't work, and we never got it to work at all, so we just went without for the week but it would have been really nice to have during the evenings for the kids. The internet signal was unreliable, overall it worked well enough to find restaurants on Yelp, but not to use social media or stream very much. There was no laundry detergent, not even a sample/starter pack. Just a heads up to those who stay here in the future.

Great location!

We loved staying at this apartment. This is a first floor apartment with a beautiful outside area. My partner enjoyed doing yoga outside almost everyday. The grills, pool and beach are just a short walk outside. Lovely area!

Amazing Location!

This property was a surprise in how perfect it was for us. It has a great pool, perfectly manicured grounds, literally steps from a beach at the ocean, and pickleball courts! We played pickleball 8 out of 10 days! There is an awesome aquatic center nearby for fantastic swimming. Safeway grocery also close. And, the owner was incredibly helpful with information and great response times. We loved the condo, especially for the location. It is a little older, but clean and comfortable. It had all we needed and will definitely go back. Such a special place and we loved our time there. Brenda & Rob

Little Slice of Paradise

We had such a great stay at Maui Sunset! The condo was just what we were looking for. It fit our family of 4 (two young boys age 7 & 8) perfectly. We loved that it was a bottom unit. The boys could play right outside our door on the beautifully manicured lawn. There is even a little putting range steps from the unit. The eight bbq grills seemed to be brand new and we never had to wait in line to use one. The ocean/beach is a short little walk past the pool. We would watch the breathtaking Maui sunset most evenings with friends we made at the condo. Everyone was SO NICE! Our boys enjoyed the boogie boards and beach toys in the condo. That was a nice unexpected bonus! The condo is centrally located to shopping centers and other beaches. Caroline was wonderful to work with! She was quick to communicate and respond to our messages and needs. Though we loved every part of our stay at Maui Sunset, our one large complaint would be the strict rules at the pool. They need to advertise that the pool is a quiet sanctuary only for swimming/ wading or reading a book and is not intended for children. It is heavily 'policed' by their main security guard. We witnessed numerous kids and parents get reprimanded because they were having fun by using flotation devices, noodles, mermaid fins, etc. One dad was even asked to stop tossing his boys up, even though no-one else was in the pool at that time. It's unfortunate. We visited some friends that were staying at another condo and there were kids of all ages playing and enjoying their pool. Other than the pool, this is a fabulous place to stay and enjoy all that Maui has to offer! Thanks Caroline!

We are from Northern California and enjoy traveling . We enjoy exploring the Hawaiian Islands and fell in love with the island of Maui. While on Maui we loved to explore areas such as Wailea, Upcountry, North Shore, Haleakala, as well as the numerous beaches and small towns on different parts of the island. In order to get the full flavor of what Maui has to offer, we highly recommend guests to experience the food and activities such as a zip line experience, picnic on the beach, snorkeling/diving, hiking and a Hawaiian luau is always a must !

Beachfront resort complex on 5 acres. The Maui Sunset resort is an extremely well maintained beachfront property with many amenities that other condo resorts do not offer such as tennis courts, shuffle board, sauna room, gym room and largest condo swimming pool. We visited once and fell in love with the island which led us to purchase a piece of paradise.

Conveniently located in West Maui. The resort activities desk offers discounted activities for guests. Being on the first floor enables you to expand out from the lanai patio to the manicured lawn.
