This cabin is super cute and located in the slow village. The antique furnishings were beautiful. We were able to walk to the restaurant and pizza place, and our kids walked down the street to see the chickens many times. The restaurant was really yummy (chocolate mousse with salt) and the pizza place was just average and only took euros. The only thing I would wish for is a fan. It got warm upstairs at night, and we could not leave the windows open because mosquitoes would get in. The bbq area was great. One day we went to the fort to explore the southernmost point and the next day we went to Lagos for the bengali caves and sand city. Good location in the middle.
In all respects, the cottage lived up to expectations, indeed, exceeded them. A wonderful break.

A charming retreat
This traditional Portuguese cottage was a real treat to stay at! Tucked in the hills alongside a charming village, we had a spectacular view of rolling pastures and were only a few steps away from a lovely and delicious Portuguese restaurant and friendly pizza place. The cottage is directly on the Sao Vicente National hiking trail. Staying at the cottage was like journeying back in time, with its antique furniture and traditional tiles and woodwork. At the same time, the cottage was comfortable and well-equipped. A real highlight were the three outdoor patios on two levels. An opportunity to relax in the sun, take in the views and listen to the peaceful tinkling of sheep’s bells.

Lovely cottage in peaceful rural location
The cottage is perfectly positioned to enjoy sunshine from its terraces and the lovely view of the valley. We loved being able to walk some great routes straight fromt eh door, not least the GR Rota Vicentina which passes the front door. I enjoyed greeting the occasional walker passing along this long-distance route to Sagres. It's a also a brilliant place for mountain biking, and you can hire bikes from the restaurant just down the road. This restaurant is so handy, and you can even take breakfast there. The cottage is very well equipped, and has two excellent showers with plenty of hot water. The only downside was a rather hard bed in the main bedroom. A magical place to stay, and somewhere we'd love to visit again.

Wer was ruhiges sucht wird hier fündig.

Wer in Ruhe abschalten will ist hier goldrichtig.

Super!
We absolutely loved the house and the beautiful village of Pedralva. The house has everything you need and has a lovely view for the terrace upstairs. We didn't want to leave and would love to return some day!
We also recommend the restaurant across the road - it is great food and great value too!
