The location was absolutely beautiful and the view from the apartment was breathtaking. The apartment itself is really nice. We never met the host. We were a party of four but there was no extra bedding. The fans in the apartment were old and made a lot of noise. These are just minor things and if we would have had better communication with the host maybe could have been resolved
This was a repeat visit and stay at this apartment and it did not disappoint. We enjoyed our time here as much as we had several years ago. The apartment was just right for our family group of four adults, with the two bedrooms and the three baths. Although only one of the bedrooms is air-conditioned, we found that the evenings were comfortable even in mid summer. We made good use of the little kitchen, preparing the first coffee of the morning and occasionally light snacks; and particularly enjoyed the covered outside patio dining area, where we spent many evenings with a bottle of wine before heading out for dinner at local restaurants. We were easily able to find everything we needed in the little shops around the piazza. For us, it was the perfect location, allowing various day trips to Amalfi, Ravello, and Positano. This is possibly the best accommodation value in the area.
We would return again in a heartbeat!
The apartment is very spacious, with excellent views. It is right next to the coastal road, which makes it a bit noisy. There are a lot of steps but not terrible. There is only air conditioning in the master bedroom, and it's hard to get it spread into the rest of the apartment. The AC worked very well in the master bedroom, and we kept all the doors open all day and it helped cool the rest of the apartment, but it was still warm in the second bedroom and the living room. Watch your head when you go from the living room to the bedrooms, I hit my head on the stone masonery. Also watch your head when going down the stairs to town, also hit my head there. The mattresses were pretty hard. The apartment was redone probably in the 90s, and it's showing a bit of age, but very usable. You can expect a very functional place, not a luxury one. There is a washing machine that was fantastic. The apartment has a private roof terrace is simply stunning with 360 views. The place is in Atrani, which is a "real" coastal village, with mostly long-term residents who work in the area. Amalfi is a 15-minute (but somewhat steep) walk away, through a very cool tunnel. The beach has umbrellas you can rent but the water is very cold and the beach has dark stone/sand so it's not really a beach town, but that's true for the whole coast. Overall great memories!
Our stay at Atrani was great, the space, view and location of this apartment is all great. Location is very central to Amalfi, Ravello and great restaurants right down the stairs. There is a good flight of stairs to climb but nothing that is a challenge. On top, the washer is definitely a plus for longer trips. Communication was pretty prompt. Lucy even offers parking option at additional charges if you are driving in/out of town.
However, the comfort our family was looking for was not as per expectation. The beds were not comfortable at all, the showers were too small and the kitchen didn’t had basic amenities like paper towels or kitchen towels, dishwasher etc. We stayed 3 nights, the first night was Fri and it was very noisy as we could hear street noise till very late in night. The noise level was better on Sat night and much better on Sun night. There is only one portable fan, it gets hot if you close windows but then noise bothers for a lite sleeper like myself.
Irrespective of all this, we loved Amalfi, and will remain memorable for years to come.
This apartment was very spacious for a family of 4 with lots of beds (some more comfortable than others), indoor space and outdoor patios. The views and centrality of location were great (right in Atrani centre and a short walk to Amalfi), but that meant that it also had traffic noise as the main road connecting the towns on the Amalfi coast was close by and visible/ audible through the apartment windows (even when closed) and from the patios. But that is perhaps expected with such a central location. The kitchen was small but well equipped. We very much enjoyed our stay!
The villa had a nice balcony from the bedroom with a beach and ocean view. It was well equipped with very thing you needed. The upstairs terrace on the roof was sunny and relaxing. Lucia and Carla were helped us settle in nicely. Definitely would stay there again. The piazza at the bottom of the stairs had nice restaurants and a Cafe for early morning pastries and coffee.

Liked: Communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, listing accuracy
Spacious property, great location, inaccurate listing, challenging space, in need of cleaning
The property is located in a beautiful location. It is spacious with incredible views, and convenient to so many of Amalfi's attractions. However, we will not be returning.
We were surprised and dismayed to learn upon arriving at the property, that contrary to what is stated on Vrbo, parking is NOT available nearby. As we had already rented a car for the week, we had to rely on a parking service in another town. This cost us more, and meant that we couldn't access our car without coordinating with the parking service.
We were surprised that access to the apartment itself required us to climb 71 stairs - some very steep. We are all in our late 60s, We would have appreciated knowing this in advance.
We had to furnish our own paper towels, paper napkins, and toilet tissue: 2 rolls were provided for 4 people staying 7 days.
We were not comfortable with the property's state of cleanliness. While our linens were clean and comfortable, the shelf and drawer liners in the kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms are very old and very dirty, and the dishes and cupboards were coated with grime. The dishes needed washing before we could use them. The bathroom walls and floor are in need of a deep cleaning.
We think that this could be a wonderful property that could provide joy to people from around the world. We hope that the owner can provide a more accurate description of the property on Vrbo, and engage in some energetic "spring cleaning," particularly of the bathrooms and kitchen.
Amazing location, directly across from the beach. Close proximity to several restaurants, cafe, market. The town of Amalfi is a 10 minute walk through a pedestrian tunnel. Great communication with the host Lucy.
This place is beautiful! The views are incredible, better than we imagined. Very spacious and clean accommodations. Its decor is very welcoming. Location is perfect… just a short walk to Amalfi and all the shops.
I wouldn’t drive a car next time… parking is an issue but it did work out because of some very kind people.
We can’t wait to go back!

This location was very charming and just what we had hoped for. As two couples traveling together it was laid out perfectly with a bonus half-bath to boot. The roof top terrace was amazing when the town was lit up at night. Access to Amalfi town was easy through the pedestrian tunnel that we only discovered on the 2nd night of our stay (haha... stupid Americans).
Note: We had a great meal in the square downstairs, Il Veliero. Chatted up the owners and had the best sea bass I've ever had in my life. They will sell bottles of wine to go if you run out! Also, the paper museum in Amalfi was a hidden gem - very cool.
This was just what we needed, a relaxing holiday in a lovely place by the sea. Lucia's house was great, we loved every minute of our stay and would certainly return.
The description was accurate, communication with the host was excellent. If we had a question Lucia always replied and arranged everything for us.
Thank you for a lovely holiday.
We had a lovely time at this rental. Lucia was a great host and helped us secure a driver when we needed it. The apartment is just as described. The views are spectacular. We were happy to be in Atrani as the town of Amalfi was too touristy for us. We used the beach often and hiked the surrounding area. The outdoor space was great, both the patio off the kitchen and the deck above. You won’t be disappointed!

Great stay avoiding the Amalfi crush
We loved our stay in Atrani! Luciana had arranged transport for our luggage from the ferry at Amalfi, so we were met at the ferry dock and taken the few minutes by road to Atrani where Luciana met us at the entrance to the village square and showed us to their lovely apartment. It was more than ample for the needs of the three of us, impeccable and comfortable, with lovely views, a bright outdoor dining area off the kitchen, and a rooftop terrace. There are two large bedrooms, and a separate loft area with what appears to be two sleep sofas; and with three full baths, it can easily accommodate a large family. Regrettably, we were staying only four days which did not allow us time to fully enjoy all these amenities.
This location is ideal for a visit to the Amalfi Coast. Atrani retains the quiet charm of a typical small Italian town, and is immediately adjacent to Amalfi, which can be reached via a short walk through a pedestrian tunnel. As a result, we were able to see and enjoy Amalfi when we wished, and then leave the tourist hustle and bustle behind. It was a perfect base for our visit. We enjoyed our morning coffee and pastry each day at the little pasticceria on the square in Atrani, and and two days took convenient bus transportation from the bus stop just in front in order to visit Ravello, and Vierti sul Mare. On another morning, we walked to Amalfi and after spending the morning there seeing the sights, took the bus to Positano where we spent the afternoon. Each evening we returned to the quiet of Atrani, and dined several times at the wonderful local restaurant, A'Paranza, or prepared dinner in the apartment. We found it to be the ideal arrangement, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone seeking a similar experience.

Perfection.
Our family (2 adults and 2 kids) stayed for 4 nights. It was a magical time. The property has views in every direction. You'll go up several dozen steps to get to the apartment (a guess, I did not count) -- these stairs are a blessing because the height delivers a comfortable view over the elevated road and other buildings. The apartment was large and spacious. Atrani was an easy walk to Amalfi with just enough of a barrier to keep the heavy crowds away but still easy to visit for a fancy dinner, on a whim, or to make a quick purchase. The piazza in Atrani had a half dozen little places to get a pizza or breakfast (one of our favorite places we ate at in Italy ended up being right in Atrani). The swimming at the beach was pleasant even in October. There is a lot of local walking and hiking available without requiring transportation (I recommended the staircase to Ravello). The property manager did all my work for me regarding transfers between Naples and the Amalfi coast (100 euros each way for my entire family) and we kept in touch the entire trip. We used the washing machine with a problem. The community in Atrani had a strong sense of authentic character. We pretty much just rolled out of bed and woke up in one of the most scenic, culturally rich, and pleasant places I've ever been.

Great stay in beautiful Atrani
We were so glad we chose Atrani - versus town of Amalfi for our stay. Less touristy, crowded and hectic and an easy walk to Amalfi. Apt. had everything we needed. Plenty of space for 2 couples and great views. Lucia was very easy to communicate with and very responsive. Arranged a transfer for us from Naples which was great. Would recommend this apt.

Gorgeous retreat on the Amalfi coast
We fell in love with our home away from home in Atrani! Gleaming tile floors, tons of light, windows looking out over the sea, and balconies galore . . . it was the best leg of our Italian journey by far. The space was very clean and well-equipped, and the town of Atrani itself is quaint and charming. I could not recommend this place more!

This Place Has My Heart!
What can I say? This apartment and Atrani have my heart. We stayed at Lucia's in June with another couple. There is incredible space- two large bedrooms - one sea view with balcony; another with a mountain view and terrace. Both bedrooms have en suites bathrooms-and there is a third bathroom in the hallway. The sea view bedroom has air conditioning. The beds were comfortable. The apartment has views from almost every window and there is an incredible open feeling -when you feel the sea breeze. The terrace added to the space and was a wonderful gathering place. The furnishings are "shabby chic". Lucia arranged a pick up for us at Pompeii and travel back to the Naples airport. She was a great communicator.
Now- "the head part"- The apartment is up about 70 steps. However, steps are well lighted, new (not slick), and have hand railings. The four of us are all retired and did fine! There is some road noise when you open the windows; but you can also hear the church bells chime. The kitchen is in need of an update (no toaster, etc.), but there is a wonderful restaurant at the bottom of the stairs. (Il Veliero- excellent food, good-inexpensive wine, and lots of personality (they took my husband into the kitchen to pick out two homemade dessert).
Would I return? You bet-Lucia's apartment-and Atrani-is calling my heart!

Great location! A bit noisy in bedroom with the best view - but (in my opinion) worth it!
We had an amazing time! Our family of 5 stayed for two nights and would have liked to have stayed longer. Great access to Amalfi and Ravello and other areas. Beautiful vistas from many areas in the house. To get to the apartment, there are quite a few stairs, but for us that added to the appeal. Small kitchen, but stocked with what you need. Lucia arranged for a car service to pick us up at the airport and then she met us to walk us through the apartment. That was extremely helpful. I am not sure we would have found it easily on our own. We absolutely loved staying in Atrani and would have liked to have had more time to explore more.

This place is absolutely not luxury
The location, host, and city of Atrani’s are amazing. However, this apartment is by no means luxury. The mattresses are incredibly uncomfortable, with low thread count sheets. There was literally two half rolls of toilet tissue for our group of 4 adults and one child to use. There was nothing whatsoever in the kitchen to use if you intended to cook even eggs. For example so salt or pepper, no dishwashing soap. There was an old oversized bar of soap that I guess they expected us to use for everything that was left on the sink. The place wasn’t dirty or anything like that, just not luxury in any way so very misleading. The non-luxury places we stayed on other legs of our trip were so much nicer with more basic items so this being the last leg of our trip was a bit disappointing.

Unbelievable
We just recently stayed at Lucia's place on the Amalfi coast. The best part was that it was in Atrani, which is a short 9 min walk to Amalfi. We explored from Sorrento to Salerno and were always happy to be back in Atrani. We traveled with our two daughters (14 & 12) and they loved this place. Lucia was a warm and welcoming host when we arrived.
My only caution and it is not about Atrani, Amalfi nor Lucia's place...because we loved all of it. The caution is that if you do not like stairs, driving on sheer cliffs with buses and scooters passing you on a 1 lane road, then go somewhere else. It was safe but I can easily see some "Americanos" coming to the Amalfi coast and not liking it.
All in all, Lucia's place was over the top beautiful and perfect. We WILL be back.

Gorgeous views, great accommodations, convenient location!!!!!
Lucia met us at the parking area and escorted us to our apartment. The layout was great which allowed my wife and 2 boys to have plenty of room. The views of the Mediterranean out the front was fantastic which included a porch off the kitchen. The views from the roof top deck was even better which included mountains in the back. This location is very convenient to town and an easy walk to Amalfi. Beautiful part of the country. There are lots of things to do.

Why they chose this property
I bought this property some years ago, because during Christmas time I went to Amalfi Coast and I saw for the fist time Atrani. It was wonderful, all lit up by Christmas lights, and I fell in love with it.
What makes this property unique
From the terrrace of Caesarina House you can see an amazing view: the blue of the sea and the green of the mountain up to the village. The apartment is in the center of Atrani, but is very quiet and confortable
