Italian vacation

The Pharmacist’s house was perfect for a friend’s vacation with three couples. The large house had plenty of space to gather and cook together or to find a quiet corner to read. The hosts were gracious and communicative, providing recommendations for groceries as well as local restaurants and things to do. The location in a small village, meant a coffee, glass of wine or the butcher were only a short walk away and the larger town of Alba was only a short drive. The house was well situated for exploring Piedmont and the local wines.

Anspruchsvolles Haus in bester Lage

Ein besonderes Ferienhaus mit besonderen antiken Möbeln und mit Geschichte. Die Badezimmer sind sehr modern und auf neuestem Stand bzw. neu renoviert. Wir wohnten in einem Museum, hatten aber zugleich neue Badezimmer und eine sehr gut ausgestattete Küche. Vielen Dank für das Vertrauen.

Ricordi d’infanzia...

La villa ispira ricordi d’infanzia quando si andava in vacanza dai nonni. La sua bellezza è questa. Le stanze sono rimaste come erano, come sono state vissute e rievocano, negli oggetti che le adornano, legami d’affetto passati. Il camino acceso ha scaldato i cuori (e non solo) di tutto il gruppo. Consiglio senz’altro l’esperienza, magari quando fa caldo e le difficoltà nel riscaldare l’estesa metratura che la caratterizza non creano disagi.

Ritrovo di famiglia intorno al fuoco

Ci siamo dati appuntamento in questa casa per riunire la nostra famiglia di origine che oggi, cresciuta, vive in citta e paesi diversi. E per essere vicini a zone importanti nei ricordi del nonno. Eravamo in 13, dai 4 ai 77anni! Siamo stati bene trovando tutto ciò di cui avevamo bisogno e lasciandoci incuriosire dalla storia e dai ricordi di cui la casa è ricchissima! Comunicazioni puntuali, utili ed esaustive. Siamo stati accolti bene da Marisol, abbiamo trovato casa calda e pulita. Abbiamo goduto tanto del camino e dello spazio esterno per grigliare e mangiare insieme. Hanno fatto da calda cornice a bellissimi momenti ! È una casa grandissima padronale, tipica piemontese con grande scala centrale di pietra. Arredi e dettagli antichi, funzionale anche per i bambini (si son divertiti un sacco!). La casa del farmacista e della maestra è stata anche un po nostra!!

A wonderful old Italian house.

A perfect place for us 4 couples enjoying the life in a smaller village . The house is very huge and the garden is very nice. Nice kitchen for making great Italian dishes. We had the house for our self. There's A nice butcher shop across the street with perfect meet and other ingredients. All eight of us was very pleased with our stay. Very friendly manager and contact person, made sure that we had a pleasant stay. Thnax for using your lovely house!

Deilig i Montecello

Tilbrakte en uke i denne nydelige, eldre og romslige boligen. Romantisk og gjennomført. Velutstyrt kjøkken. Boligen holdt seg behagelig kjølig selv om det var varmt ute. Fin hage med nydelige blomster og oppholdsplass. Bordtennisrommet kunne vært gjort rent. Madrassene var noe harde, men det kommer jo an på hva man liker. Kan anbefales.

Weekend a Monticello d’alba

La casa è veramente spaziosa e storica, abbiamo apprezzato la biblioteca, il giardino dove i bambini hanno potuto giocare in tranquillità e la zona del barbecue è fantastica! Comodità dei negozi vicini e ottima posizione per visitare le Langhe. Consigliato vivamente e sicuramente ci torneremo! Ottimo per weekend con amici e famiglia!

Un piacevole salto nel passato!

Esperienza molto positiva e divertente insieme a 2 famiglie di nostri amici stranieri che sono rimasti entusiasti. La casa è vecchia e si notano tutti i segni del tempo ma gli spazi immensi a disposizione si fanno apprezzare soprattutto quando si hanno 7 bambini dai 3 ai 9 anni che scorrazzano in giro. Se non soffrite le inefficienze inevitabili di un alloggio rustico, la soluzione è altamente consigliata. Noi siamo stati in inverno ma in primavera/estate gli spazi a disposizione diventano ancora più grandi potendo usufruire del grande giardino e del patio! Grazie a Emanuela per la cordialità!

Soggiorno nelle Langhe

Abbiamo trascorso il fine anno-capodanno in questa splendida casa che con il suo ampio salone al piano terra munito di uno splendido camino, ci ha accolti piacevolmente, permettendoci di avere un ampio spazio comune per mangiare e intrattenersi piacevolmente ( eravamo tre famiglie...) con la comodità di avere le camere da letto al piano superiore. Purtroppo per noi visto il periodo invernale non abbiamo potuto godere appieno il giardino ma contiamo di tornare in primavera per approfittare appieno delle potenzialità della casa. Gli arredi d'epoca, i camini, gli ampi locali interni con i soffitti in legno formano una incantevole cornice dove potersi rilassare in compagnia degli amici più cari; la posizione più defilata rispetto alla via consente di avere i servizi del paesino senza gli inconvenienti del vicinato; a pochi minuti di auto si arriva a Alba con tute le attrattive di cui dispone. Consiglio caldamente questa soluzione per chi come noi ha bambini e ragazzi che vuole avere vicini lasciandogli i propri spazi.

Beaucoup plus qu'une maison!

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans la maison du pharmacien et de la maitresse. On sent que c'est une maison qui a une histoire et on a l'impression d'entrer dans son histoire le temps d'un séjour... Il est agréable de s'y retrouver entre amis. Nous étions 6 adultes et 4 enfants et tout le monde a trouvé son compte. Les enfants s'imaginaient être dans un château mystérieux. La maison est très propre, bien équipée et spacieuse. L'accueil de Marisol a été très chaleureux et ses indications comme celles d'Emanuela nous ont été précieuses. Monticello n'est pas très grand mais il y a effectivement une très bonne boucherie juste en face de la maison où l'accueil y est chaleureux. Les Langhe sont à moins de 30 minutes de voiture et c'est particulièrement beau. La région n'est pas très animée en été (elle l'est davantage à l'automne apparemment) mais il faut savoir dénicher des petites pépites (villages pittoresques, paysages des Langhe, randonnées dans les vignes, marché d'Asti...)... Conclusion : si vous voulez profiter de l'opportunité offerte par Emanuela et son frère de séjourner dans une maison hors du commun et chargée d'histoire... allez y! Stéphane et Frédérique

Excellent stay!

Excellent stay, wonderful house in a beautiful area! Will definitely be back! Highly recommend visiting in late October when the colour of the vines is stunning and the truffle festival is on in Alba.

Nous avons passé une semaine digne à l'Italie

Merci à la famille de mettre cette magnifique maison à disposition des personnes qui ont envie de passer un moment dans une ambiance digne de la vie italienne de l'époque. Nous ne manquions de rien et les habitants du village nous ont accueilli avec beaucoup de gentillesse. Nous reviendrons en tout cas pour découvrir encore mieux la région qui est de toute beauté. Belle maison

bonsoir, votre maison est très agréable et très belle. On sent qu'elle a une histoire , qu'à une époque elle a du être pleines de rires et de mondes. Dommage qu'elle est un peu à l'abandon mais j'ai l'impression que vous êtes en train d'y remédier. Nous avons adoré cette endroits et ma fille tout particulièrement le piano. Marisol est très sympathique et très discrète. Les deux seul bémol pour moi c'est l'odeur de renfermer que dégagent les meubles anciens car ma fille qui fait très rarement de l'asthme a eut plusieurs petites crises. Le village est charmant mais les cloches de l'églises sonnent tous les quart d'heures. En ce qui concerne la maison, elle a beaucoup de charme.

Magnifique maison,très très spacieuse

Magnifique maison au cœur d'un village avec commodité ( magasin, bar, coiffeur...) Seul petit inconvénient les cloches sonnent toute la nuit. Sinon allez-y sans aucune hésitation ;-)

un week end indimenticabile

Abbiamo alloggiato presso la casa del Farmacista e della Maestra durante un w.e., utilizzandola come base per visitare e degustare le meraviglie della zona. Dire grazie, grazie , grazie..... e fare un applauso ad Emanuela x la sua gentilezza e l'attenzione , la cura , i dettagli che rendono la casa una vera Dimora di charme , ci sembra riduttivo .. quindi posso solo dire che ci torneremo..... Idéal pour découvrir la région des Langhe

À quelques kilomètres d'Alba, celle location nous a permis de profiter de la foire internationale de la truffe blanche et de rayonner dans la magnifique région des Langhe. Nous étions 4 couples heureux d'avoir un hébergement bien équipé et bien tenu. Nous avons profité de la terrasse et de l'immense cheminée extérieure pour faire griller des châtaignes. Nous garderons un excellent souvenir de cette maison de caractère.

Lovely place

It's a lovely house in a lovely town... The Pettazzi were very attentious and kind, always worried about us... they have made us feel "at home"... The outside area was perfect for us (with 2 kids and a little dog)... And the house is close to all "important" cities in the "Langhe and Roero" region... wine tasting was easy... We do recomend this house (and the Pettazzi for their kindness)!!!
