About this property

Black Bear is a 2-bedroom log cabin located in Gatlinburg (quick, easy access- only 5 minutes from downtown) with clubhouse and seasonal swimming pool access. Located in Black Bear Falls Resort, Black Bear sits in a gorgeous wooded setting with terrific mountain views. The cabin has two king size beds along with a queen size sofa sleeper which combined can sleep up to six guests. Each bedroom has a private bathroom. The cabin also includes a fully-equipped kitchen, washer/dryer combo, and a hot tub on the deck. The level driveway will accommodate 2-3 cars and there is only 1 step to enter the cabin. Black Bear's location is convenient to Food City (grocery store), Arts and Craft Community, and Pigeon Forge (including easy access to the back roads for the peak seasons). This close location sets guests close to everything making Black Bear great for a romantic getaway or family vacation.

Comfortable place to stay

Owner is extremely easy to communicate with and very accessible when questions arise. The house was pretty clean overall, but we noticed crumbs on the rug in the living room when we checked in. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay and the house was centrally located to the national park and to downtown Gatlinburg.

Visiting Gatlinburg Convention Center

We enjoyed our stay at Black Bear Cabin. The cabin is a bit remote if you are visiting the Convention Center, but it is in a quiet area away from the crowds. AC works great if you are on the first floor, but difficult to cool the upstairs bedroom without overcooling the first floor. Towels need to be replaced. Would be convenient to have a few dishwasher pods available on check-in.

Family getaway

Great location. Cabin as pictured and very homey. We had a great trip and was nice to relax each evening away from the busyness. Hot tub was used daily!

Cozy dream cabin

Very clean, well-organized cabin! For the three of us it was spacious & cozy at the same time for family bonding. The view of the smoky mountains is breathtaking especially during sunrise in the back porch. It was a dream cabin with all the amenities we needed. Peggy the owner answered our questions promptly. Safe place to walk for our exercise in this little community of Black Bear lodge. So accessible to any routes to downtown with scenic drive. Coming from a flat landscape Houston I will definitely recommend this place to friends. Thank you Peggy❤️

Perfect location!

Property was just as described in the listing. Plenty of room for our family and we enjoyed how close the cabin was to all of the area attractions and Pigeon Forge. The hot tub was a fabulous perk to use after a long day of exploring and doing activities. 10/10 experience and would definitely stay here again.

Great cabin and location

We loved our stay this past weekend and had such a nice getaway. The cabin was very clean and well represented in the pictures. There are quite a few roads that wind to get to the cabin and some of our night drives were a little scary, but we managed it! We were hoping to see some bears, but weren’t lucky! Would love to come back again!

Wonderful stay

We really enjoyed Black Bear Cabin. The Black Bear Falls community felt safe and quiet. The location is a short drive from downtown Gatlinburg. We loved the hot tub and the beds were comfortable! We would definitely return to this cabin.

We were celebrating our 70th Birthday, our 1st day at Black Bear cabin we had a visitor. A BEAR out front taking a walk down the street. We enjoyed being close to the Great Smokey Mts. The comfortable, and very enjoyable

Great little cabin for a small group or family. They included things like laundry detergent, dish detergent, hand soap, and paper products that others typically don’t. Very responsive to any issue. Great area with things for everyone.

Relaxing, quiet getaway

We enjoyed our stay while in Gatlinburg at Black Bear Cabin. I would have appreciated extra pillows in the upstairs bedroom. Kitchen was well stocked. Cabin could use some updates and a good deep cleaning. My brother-in-law had to go buy a step so we could get in and out of the jacuzzi.

We had a wonderful stay at the Black Cat Cottage! It was clean and perfect location!

Only 1 issue was there is no handrail on the steps on the front porch .my partner is slightly handicapped and fell trying to get up them luckely she was not hurt. A handrail would have prevented this from happening.

Nice stay

The cabin was nice if you're not planning on cooking a lot, which we weren't. Personally I think the kitchen would be to small to cook family sized meals in, but was perfect for four adults who only needed the coffee pot in the mornings :) I was disappointed there isn't a view. There are cabins in every direction and the back porch has trees that are hard to see through. However there would only be a view of other cabins so I guess it's best the trees are there. We did have some excitement our last night there! We were sitting on the back porch talking when my cousin looked through the trees and saw a HUGE bear just walking down the road behind the cabin! We weren't able to get any pics, the trees were to thick but we heard him on down trying to get into someone's trash can. After seeing the size of him, I would suggest you look out the window before opening the door!

We have lived in different parts of the United States and feel there is no place that matches the beauty of the Smoky Mountains.

What makes this property unique

Black Bear Falls Resort kept the natural beauty and added ponds and cascading waterfalls. While our kids have enjoyed swimming in the pool, one of their most favorite activities is feeding the fish and ducks. Our whole family enjoys walking around the community keeping track of all the wildlife we see.
