Very nice cabin

We had a few surprises when we arrived. There were two places to enter a code: one outside the door and the other on the main door behind a storm door. When trying to contact the host, our phones had no signal so we had to drive a distance away to send messages through VRBO. After trying multiple times to get in using the outside key entry, we realized the key entry on the main door should be used. The host did not respond until the next day. The cabin was clean and very nice. We loved how quiet the neighborhood was and the wrap around porch. We would stay again.

Vacation

We love everything about this place.. Sally is amazing… it’s a great location, out of town but yet very convenient to all the places we live to visit. We have shared our “Best kept secret” with many friends and family and they have stayed here or booked for upcoming visits.

Just what we were looking for

Very nice cabin, property and location just above the Tennessee River. Spacious, stand alone cabin... privacy to boot. Gated bar lock is a bit difficult to lock and unlock especially if is dark due to combination. Driveway is steep and there is a sharp turn, so be mindful of snowy weather conditions. We met the owner while we were down by the river and making a camp fire. He was very nice to talk to, very nice gentleman. I would definitely recommend! Thank you!

Overall, property was nice. The pictures of the outside of the house in the listing are pretty old compared to the look of the house now as well as the grounds. The wrap around deck is nice and having the gates front and back is good for the dogs.

Awesome cabin on the river

We visit the mountains yearly and this is likely our favorite Cabin. Everything you need the wrap around porch is amazing and you actually have access to the river from the property. Franklin is surrounded by mountains and it is something to see. We cant rate this stay high enough. We hope to come back in the future.

Already planning a return trip!

The check in process was easy, the cabin itself was spotless upon arrival. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and cant wait to return. There was plenty of room for our family of three plus dog. The wrap around porch is awesome to sit and drink coffee in the mornings and then at night, sit and listen to the night sounds. Everyone was so helpful and friendly when it came to answering a few questions about where to take out our kayaks. Highly recommend this cabin!

I’ve already briefed the property manager on issues I’m about to unfold. Toilet loose at base. ( moving while in use ). The jacuzzi wood panels fall off to the touch. The stove a greasy mess and lower panel falls off if touched. The available frying pan would not be suitable for my dog. Teflon worn out caked on grease. Beside these fixable discrepancies the stay and cabin were ok.

Good property overall.

Great location. Quiet and secluded. Internet is VERY slow. 2 MB/s. It would’ve been cool to know ahead of time to download movies and cartoons for the kids. Drove a minivan with no issues. Not hard to get there at all. Overall, very nice property.

Relaxing and Peaceful

We loved our stay at this cabin. We felt right at home from the moment we got there. The view of the river and the mountains from the back porch was amazing and the area was so peaceful. Walking and sitting along the Little Tennessee River below the cabin was so relaxing. The lows were very cold for us so getting to use the indoor fireplace was great. We enjoyed making s'mores every night! The driveway up to the cabin is a steep incline but we managed it fine in our van in low gear.
