Serenity in a beautiful village
Pereta is a tiny village located in the rolling hills of olive orchards, vineyards and wheat fields of the beautiful area of Maremma in Tuscany. The property is a wonderful house set within an old grist mill. The home is very comfortable for two couples with a large kitchen, plenty of bathrooms and the loveliest garden overlooking the rolling green hills. The decor is tasteful and filled with art. There are three very good restaurants and a small grocery store. The town of Scansano is very close with a larger supermarket and wine enotecas. The sandy beaches are within a thirty minute drive. Siena is only an hour away. My family absolutely loved being in Pereta and this beautiful home. We were happy to enjoy their enthusiasm. I’d give this home and experience more stars if I could.

BEAUTIFUL stay!! Highly recommend
This property is gorgeous and Johnny was wonderful and responsive. The town is small but charming with and excellent restaurant and wineries close by. The sea is also very close. Can’t wait to go back. Would give this beautiful vrbo more than 5 stars if possible. The view is gorgeous and it’s a great base to enjoy Tuscany.

Wunderbarer Ort

A perfect blend of old and new
The property is a mix of old and new in an untouristy part of Tuscany. It is located in a wonderful old hilltop village with fantastic views but private enough to be away from it all if you so wished. The house has a modern kitchen that is well supplied and also modern bathrooms with good plumbing. The wifi was also reliable and quite speedy. Johnny was always available for any questions and his father Carlo was also extremely helpful. The village had a small grocery that had the basics and two good restaurants. I would thoroughly recommend this property to holidaymakers and would most definitely stay again.

Unique and wonderful
We were two couples and stayed in the house for the week of June 18 through 24. The weather was very hot but the house was very comfortable. Johnny, the owner was there to meet us when we arrived and showed us everything we needed to know. The house itself is beautiful and has everything you need. It is very clean, the garden is wonderful and if you are looking for relaxation and quiet, this is the place for you. Pereta is a small 14th century village perched on a high hilltop so from the terrace you can see miles of Tuscany, very beautiful. There are a couple small restaurants in the village and the food is excellent. Everyone is very friendly but not many speak English, however communication is not difficult. There are lots of interesting things to do in the area for day trips. The four of us loved it and we recommend it strongly.

Delightful Home in Historic Village
We thoroughly enjoyed out stay here and found that the online pictures accurately represented the character of this house. The Owner met us upon arrival and spent extra time telling us about the area and possible places to visit. The house was very clean, well stocked and very livable. It worked well for our family of four. There is a wonderful garden connected directly to the kitchen area which received sun from early morning until sunset. The town is very small but has 2 great restaurants and a small market which we used every day for bread, milk, cheese, etc. Cars do not drive through the town's stone paved streets so this makes the house's experience even better. Hot springs were 30 minutes away, the ocean was 30 minutes away and southern Tuscany towns were all about and very beautiful. We reached Florence in 2 hours and the house is less than 2 hours from the Rome airport. This was one of the best houses that we have ever rented and the fact that the Owner's frequently use this home themselves adds to its character even more.

Phantastic old house with a lot of charme and a wonderful terrasse and view
We had a very remarkable time in the house! It felt like home, the owner was always reachable, had lots of nice tips for sightseeing tours. It's a very nice little town, with a mini market (where you can learn a little bit of italian language while shopping) and 3 good restaurants. Parking is safe outside the citywall. We'll be back!

Schöne Unterkunft in idyllischem Städtchen
