This distinctive home offers an ideal meditative retreat for an artist or writer, a romantic getaway for a couple, or the perfect vacation for a small family or group. This landmark home, located at 107 Ariola Drive, is long known by locals as the "Treehouse" because of its beautiful cypress siding and elevated deck. The views from here are stunning at any time of day. The lanai-style lower deck and the shaded, screened-in sunroom offer plenty of room to enjoy the extensive collection of indigenous beach-zone plant life in the zero-scaped yard. Pets will also be at home here with the doggie door and cypress fence enclosure.

The Treehouse is located at the beginning of the beach's quieter residential section, but still less than a block away from restaurants, bars, and shops. It is across the street from the Gulf of Mexico, with beach access via the convenient boardwalk.

The interior features granite and marble counters, tile and Brazilian cherry floors, solid oak cabinets, and teak, cherry and sinker cypress wood trim. A large walk-in closet separates the master bedroom from the master bath, which offers a bidet and oversized tub with a custom tile surround. The loft bedroom has a full-sized bed and more importantly, the best views - from the Gulf to the Sound, all the way to Downtown Pensacola. Another half bath and full laundry are located below.

Overall the house had all the amenities we needed. The only downside was that the beds were not comfortable at all. Since it is a pet friendly property, it would benefit the guests to have larger beds as well.

Beautiful artwork that I really appreciated, the color scheme was beautiful, so much literature (and poetry!) to read, just steps from the beach, and everything within walking distance. The screened-in sun room was perfect for relaxing, there are 2 water spickets to rinse sandy feet, amenities were top notch and easy to use, and the bidet a very special treat! The plumbing and water pressure were out of this world! The home was very clean, and we had everything we needed for our stay. There was plenty of space for just my husband and I to enjoy this beautiful home. We even had the pleasure of meeting the owner. There are stairs to navigate which is a little hard on my husband and I, however, we decided it would not be a deterrent for a future stay. The bed was a little hard for me, but can easily be remedied with a mattress pad the next time I visit. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet, and I also appreciated that. Paradise Beach Homes has definitely earned a customer, they were professional and helpful with the reservation process and check-in, and then when we decided to extend our stay (because I didn’t want to leave!). Everything went so smoothly, and I am just so impressed by this whole experience. I found this home to be a healing environment, and felt very safe in the home and the neighborhood. It was exactly what I was looking for. I will definitely be returning to this home.

All amenities were there. The West balcony is great to set out on for morning coffee because the house blocks the morning sun and provides a great shaded area in the AM.Down side, the yard pics need updated because crows nest shown in pictures has been torn down. The yard is not that dog friendly because of thorny vines that have taken over the yard and needs to be removed for dog mobility and safety. The main bedroom needs blinds about the bedroom windows because the next door property yard lights shine in on the ceiling making the room very bright at night. The screened in patio is nice, but the screens were coming off both doors. All simple fixes that should be completed to have the property up to standard for the price point.

The location was great, beach access right across the street, could walk to town, but still a quiet neighborhood. The house was mostly as described in the listing. However, it should be noted there is not a door on the second bedroom, it is a loft space. It worked okay but my teenager would have liked some privacy sometimes. Interior of the house was clean and well appointed with furnishings and beds were comfortable. However, the exterior space needs some basic upkeep. The furniture on the deck was rusty or plastic was cracked and needs to be replaced. The second deck in the yard did not seem structurally sound so we did not use it. We elected this property partially due to a Fenced yard for dogs, but we did not trust it to keep our dogs contained because of several broken areas, so we had to keep our dogs on leash the entire time. For the price at a location where you mostly want to enjoy the outdoors, I expect good exterior furniture and upkeep.

If you are looking for perfect, it isn’t this house. If you like eclectic, this is your house. Great fenced in yard for dogs. Pet fees are a bit over the top. Not a good place if you cannot handle stairs. Be careful on outdoor structure. Nice neighborhood with easy beautiful beach access across the street. Overall, a nice place to stay.

They have a full-size kitchen with everything you need and the beds are comfortable and the unique architecture makes it a really fun place to stay. There are a lot of decks to enjoy outdoors and it’s a super easy walk to the beach across a residential road straight to the path. We highly recommend “the treehouse”.

Last time paradise made you feel welcome. On this trip, we arrived later and we felt we were just a number. We picked up the envelope at the Inn. The last time we received a basket of nice beach items, this trip an envelope with keys and check-out instructions, and that's it. Trips like these are getting more expensive. Some little extra goes a long way to make you feel better about doing business with a company. I know its a small gesture, but does go a long way since you are spending hard earned money.

Horrible Experience

We enjoyed walking to the beach since this home was only a minute away from the beach. I am dreading writing this review, however, our experience was not very pleasant. We stayed a week thinking we were going to have time to read, rest, watch movies, and more! When we arrived, the Wi-Fi was not working properly but we were able to fix this issue on our own, so no problem. The house had a horrible odor and we saw multiple large insects in the bedrooms. The first night I attempted to prepare for a shower and saw a roach crawling in the tub. I do know that creatures can enter any home but when guests spend more than $1,000 to stay at a home please ensure that your guests are comfortable. Have someone come to this home and spray before you rent out this property. I was scared to even sleep thinking a insect would crawl over my face. My family and I should sleep peacefully and not have to wake up to see a roach crawling on the walls. It was a disaster. Not to mention, the lights were flickering on and off. This home needs some work done expeditiously before a guest gets bitten by a insect especially a child. There is no excuse for multiple insects to be inside this home. I am so disappointed and saddened that we didn’t enjoy our stay. Additionally, the yard needs to be properly maintained to the highest standard so that guests can bring their children to play or walk their dogs.

Otherwise, this property is in tremendous need of updating of furnishings, systems, and landscaping. Had to trim some bushes along driveway so car paint would not be scratched. The tub would not drain and was slick on the bottom and had to be cleaned. The lower patio smelled bad and was unusable. No hairdryer was provided. With some updating this could be a very great rental. Loved the private beach.

It was ok - house needs work.
The plumbing issue was the biggest issue for me. There was sewage coming up from the toilet on day 2 (when we flushed the toilet or ran water upstairs it overflowed the toilet down stairs). It was not fun to have to clean up and the house smelled of sewage for most of the trip. There was also a lot of roaches in the home, floors coming up on the 3rd floor, bathtub does not drain, and bathtub needs to be caulked. Last, the home seemed to be under construction on the exterior (there was construction material where you park your car) and siding was missing from one side. My overall suggestion would be to spend some money on the house if you’re going to be renting it. It definitely needs some attention and the pictures online make it look much much better than it actually it.
