About this property

The Yosemite Paradise Chalet is the perfect getaway for Yosemite Park. Completely renovated so everything is new, fresh and clean. The Chalet is a private home in a unique community INSIDE the gates of Yosemite Park with easy access to the Park attractions. It is located near the Glacier Point road and HWY 41, the main road in the park.

This is a beautiful 2-story home with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, loft, 2 decks, a full kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances, eco-friendly bamboo wood floors, fresh paint and new furniture.

The kitchen is equipped with all the major appliances, dinnerware and organic supplies you will need for a quick snack or gourmet meal. We have stocked organic fair-trade coffee and teas and over 30 organic spices, in addition to a large microwave, quiet dishwasher, coffee maker, tea kettle, blender, stand mixer, food processor, slow cooker, fine cutlery, 5-burner gas stove with custom griddle, convection oven and a large refrigerator with in-door ice and chilled water dispensers. A reverse osmosis water filter and LED lighting complete this luxury vacation home.

The Chalet has full house air conditioning, remote control heating, Dish HD TV and satellite internet. We have stocked the home with games, books and park information. The covered rear deck is tucked away in the back to provide you a quiet and private place to relax and enjoy the birds, animals and forest views. The front deck is large with chairs, tables and special lounge chairs for children. A gas barbecue is provided for your grilling pleasure.

The bedrooms are furnished with quality mattresses, linens and plenty of storage. There are remote controls for AC, heat, ceiling fans and even a heated bed cover for your personal comfort.

There is a king bed with day bed and full closet in the main floor bedroom. The 2nd floor bedroom has a comfortable queen bed, dresser and windows with forest views.

Each bathroom is stocked with organic soap, shampoo and conditioner, and has a Jacuzzi jetted tub to help you relax after a long day of hiking and exploring the wonders of Yosemite.

The Chalet is finished with eco-friendly bamboo wood floors, a modern color palette, scenic artwork, LED lighting with dimmers, new windows with forest views and new mahogany doors throughout the home. All the furnishing are new and designer quality.

Please note there are security cameras outside the chalet that monitor the front door, back door, shed door, and the driveway.

This is the perfect getaway for two couples, a small family or friends in search of a new Yosemite adventure.

Great cabin near Yosemite

Cabin is newly updated and very well appointed with all amenities you might need. 20 minutes to tunnel view. Beds were comfy after a long day of hiking. Would stay again!

Perfect in Everyway

Great location and property for Yosemite vacation

We were so happy about the location of the property. Staying inside the gate is the way to go. Possibly during peak season, you might want to be in the valley in order to avoid driving entirely. Our trip to Yosemite was a bit off season to avoid the crush and this property was perfect. The cabin had everything that we needed to enjoy our stay. We would definitely book this property again if we travel to Yosemite.

Perfect Home Base

I've been to Yosemite several times but, this was my first stay in West Yosemite and it didn't disappoint! This was the most well stocked and best organized rental I've experienced. It was perfect our group of three that includes a toddler. It puts the renter in easy driving distance to Yosemite's biggest attractions. If you don't feel like driving, sit on the peaceful front porch where we had the privilege of seeing a momma bear and cub cross the street below. Truly an amazing place!

Wonderful trip to Yosemite

This house was great for 2 couples, Easy access to the Valley(about 20 minutes), and Glacier Park road. It had the best outfitted kitchen of any VRBO we’ve rented. Host was very helpful with information and some minor issues. Would rent again!

Great Yosemite rental

Great rental One bedroom and bathroom upstairs and one bedroom and bathroom downstairs….. perfect for two couples House was clean and very well maintained Well stalked with utensils, cookware, plates etc. and spices 30 min drive to valley floor Not a complaint just keep in mind driveway very steep if snow or ice a possibility have chains Neighborhood is plowed but not driveway Totally recommend!!!

Convenient and Comfortable

Our Yosemite vacation rental exceeded our expectations. We didn't think we'd need it, but the on-site washer/dryer proved very useful after our full day hikes. And for a parent like me with a child with dietary restrictions, I appreciated the fully equipped kitchen that had everything we needed. The prime location within the park itself immersed us in nature and saved us time so we could maximize our Yosemite experience. Our kids loved the loft area. It was filled with carefully curated books and there were some days we had to drag them out into the wilderness. Highly recommend for an unforgettable and comfortable Yosemite adventure.

This chalet was exactly as described and more. Well stocked kitchen, lots of quality cooking equipment a wide range of spices (I had forgotten those). Warm, cozy living room with two great bedrooms and bathrooms. All well kept, clean and ever worked just great. I will definitely keep on my repeat list for the future.

Yosemite vacations

It was a very nice vacation rental with almost all the amenities that a family with kids can need. The owner took extra care to make sure there are multiple toys, play cribs, kitchen appliances, dishes etc that made our stay much more relaxed and enjoyable. The things are vey well labeled and makes it easy to find/use. Will definitely recommend this place.

An Unforgettable Yosemite Escape!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the chalet in Yosemite, and I can't say enough good things about it. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a custom mug from the owners, welcoming us to the rental. The location was perfect, allowing us easy access to all the major attractions in the park. The rental itself was immaculate and well-maintained, providing all the comforts of home. The spacious living area, fully equipped kitchen, and comfortable bedrooms made our stay incredibly enjoyable. There is even a charger for those with EV cars. The attention to detail in the decor and furnishings added to the overall charm of the place. One of the highlights were the various games/activities found within the chalet. After a long day of hiking, we were able to unwind and enjoy each other’s company playing board games. My daughter (4) particularly enjoyed all of the toys that she can play with! The owner and property manager were incredibly helpful and responsive, ensuring that our visit was smooth and stress-free. They provided us with valuable information about the best hiking trails, dining options, and other activities in the area. In summary, our stay here in Yosemite was nothing short of amazing. The stunning location, comfortable accommodations, and exceptional service made it a truly memorable experience. We can't wait to return and make more cherished memories in this incredible place. Highly recommended!

Hidden Gem in the Hidden Gem of Yosemite West

We had a wonderful week at the Chalet in Yosemite West. First, I can't believe everyone doesn't stay in Yosemite West when traveling to the park. Second, this home is immaculate with all of the amenities. The hosts have provided everything one could imagine. Modern gas stove and new refrigerator. They even took the time to label everything, so it was great to cook in the kitchen and on a backyard BBQ. They also provided a book with great trails, which we took advantage of. We will certainly come back for our next visit to Yosemite.

Great location

Perfect place for a visit to Yosemite by two couples. We loved the proximity to the Glacier point road, the views of the Valley were amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed the hiking. We had two bear sightings, one of them was at breakfast time from the kitchen table. The kitchen is well stocked and superbly organized. The hosts were super helpful and accessible. We loved our stay and would love to come back and visit in the future.

Terrible Terrible Terrible. Old musty smelling property. Floor boards were broken and covered with an old dirty rug. Holes in drywall in numerous places. Musty smell throughout. Cobwebs on light fixtures and fans. The second night one of the toilets clogged and the host did not respond to our message. Washer and dryer was old and LOUD. All the spices in the cabinet were expired from 2017. It's 2023!!! it is DEFINITELY not new or remodeled. Very overpriced for what we paid. Location was decent.

Perfect place to enjoy the woods

Great spot to relax after a day in Yosemite. My kids loved the jets in the tubs, loft nook with recliners and the kitchen was excellent for those who like to cook a great meal after a day out. It's small, but perfectly laid out and cozy, but enough room for a family of 4.

Yosemite getaway

Great location! Space was as listed. Everything we needed for our 5 night stay plus a few extras. Kitchenware allowed us to cook meals each night. Internet was reliable and allowed me to handle some Necessary work. One small issue upon arrival and Simmy responded and handled immediately. Would love to see the gathering space outside get an upgrade — maybe some more comfy furniture on front deck.

Cozy paradise

This property is fabulous. Quiet street, cozy, comfortable, full of natural light, air conditioning. The kitchen is very well stocked with lots of spices, kitchen tools, quality appliances, quality dinnerware and silverware. The owner has even provided baby items such as a playpen and toys. Entry and locking the property is very easy. Communication with the owner was easy, timely, informative and friendly. It’s private, quiet and the neighborhood properties are beautiful too. We went for a nice evening stroll with cups of tea and saw massive pine cones! Easy to drive to the valley, with a STUNNING lookout point on the way. Check it out at sunset! Absolutely breathtaking. Love the porch on this property too. We were able see so many stars just from the porch! Would definitely stay at this property again. Thank you Simmy for such a wonderful stay for my family and I. Btw, my kids said they loved Yosemite more than Disneyland during our trip to California! It’s that spectacular!

Yosemite Chalet

Great little place inside the park at Yosemite West. Easy access to Glacier Point, tunnel view and the valley floor. We’ll designed house with great kitchen and dining area.TV and internet worked very well. Nice sitting areas on front porch and back grilling pad. And LABELS! Everything was labeled so well that it made it extremely easy to find things and use the electronics and A/C. Highly recommend it.

Way too expensive

Nice home, everything worked, the new AC and wifi is great. Had to change dates because of snow/flooding in 2023, and price was not adjusted correctly. Wound up costing @2,700 for two nights.

We are a young family with two beautiful girls who love to explore the wonders of Yosemite. I work long days in the medical research field, my wife is busy with the girls and we split our time between San Jose and Yosemite.

Why they chose this property

We had explored Yosemite Park for years before finding the Chalet in 2014. The house was a diamond in the rough. After a year of extensive remodeling we have created our dream vacation home that we are proud to share with travelers to the Park.

What makes this property unique

The Chalet is a private home on a large lot in Yosemite West. This special community is located inside the gates of the Park at 6000' elevation in the Sierra Nevada Mountains.

We're the perfect location to base your exploration of Yosemite. It's 25 minutes north to Yosemite Valley, 25 minutes east to Glacier Point, 15 minutes to Badger Pass and 25 minutes south to Wawona. The three main attractions of Yosemite are easy and scenic drives from the Chalet.

We are one of the few properties to have air conditioning to help beat the summer heat.
