Unwind and relax at this charming 3 bedroom, 2 bath property on three acres in Volcano.

The house sits in a quiet area, surrounded by nature on all sides, including a large meadow, huge ferns, ohia trees and a short path that leads to a stunning on-property lava tube. It feels like you are staying inside the park!

The house has a large main bedroom with private bath and walk-in closet, an open concept fully equipped kitchen, cozy living room with wood burning stove, and a spacious covered lanai. It sleeps 6. It’s a wonderful place for families, one, two or three couples or someone looking for a quiet and inspirational place to get away from everything.

You can relax on the lanai after a hike in the National Park and visit some of the restaurants and art galleries in the village. Secret Garden also makes an ideal retreat for writing, studying or artwork.

Lovely home so close to Volcanoes national park

This home was great. Location was super close to Volcanoes, lovely quiet spot. Lava Tube on the property is also a cool addition. Would recommend.

Great stay at Volcano

We enjoyed our stay in Royal Hawaiian estates. The house is a great location for exploring the park and the Pahoa area. The neighborhood is nice and quiet and the yard is beautiful. We loved the lava tube on property. The house was spacious and comfortable for my family of 5 and having laundry available was very convenient. the kitchen is well appointed for cooking and unlike many STRs has lots of basics available (oil, salt and pepper, coffee basics etc).

Excellent place to stay and explore Volcano national park

Great location to use as a base for exploring the close by Volcano National park. Excellent art galleries nearby too. Checkout Da Raku Barn and 2400 degrees glass gallery in addition to the art gallery in the park.

Volcano stay

This is a wonderful property with a great host. It is far away enough from the main road, so you get a real feel for what the Big Island is all about. Wood definitely recommends the say.

Another great stay!

We keep returning to this place because it's perfect! House is spacious and its a great private location. Great spot to see the stars at night and i love falling asleep to the sound of coqui frogs. We will be back!

Peaceful, amazing retreat in Volcano

Perfect Volcano retreat!

Secluded gem near Volcanoes National Park. Beautiful, lush surroundings with a cool lava tube on the property! Comfy beds, spacious rooms, and a full kitchen made our stay great. Loved the DVD collection for evening entertainment. Just a 10-minute drive to the park entrance. Exactly as described - a fantastic base for exploring the area!

Can’t wait to return

Our Volcano Secret Garden stay couldn’t have been nicer. It was a peaceful home to return to after exploring the National Park. The 7 and 12 year old were delighted to explore the lava tube and the grounds. Coqui lulled us to sleep at night. All in all this was ideal for our family group of 6.

Perfect peaceful retreat

This place was the perfect peaceful retreat after a day adventuring through Volcanoes National Park, hiking to Waterfalls and ziplining through the rainforest. The house was clean, beds were comfortable and we loved hearing all the sounds of nature at night coming in with cool nights breeze through the bedroom windows. The Lava tube on the property was an extra special bonus that we all loved. Overall great place!

Beautiful oasis

Bei schönem Wetter zu empfehlen...

Leider regnete es bei unserem Aufenthalt sehr viel, was zu äußerst unangenehmen feuchten Räumen, Inventar und Kleidung führte. Mit Ofen und Heizlüfter mâßig trocken zu bekommen, bis der Strom ausfiel. Der Besitzer Gary war sehr bemüht, jedoch gab es am vorletzten und leitzen Tag kein warmes Wasser. Der angegebene Whirlpool war leider auch nicht zu finden. Lage sehr ruhig, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten nur mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Guten Lage zum Volcanoes National Park!

Warmth

Even though wood was supplied for the cast iron stove, the instructions and our inexperience left us without heat except in the bedrooms where space heaters were provided. For that reason, we would not return to this property.
