The room is very bright; the French window opens on to a small balcony overlooking the roofs of Paris. The bed's mattress is very good; the building's façade has just been restored and the toilet on the stairway landing has been completely refurbished. Free wi-fi access.

loved my stay, Marie Charlotte was absolutely lovely and so accomodating. the property was very cute, and had everything you need, with the bonus of lovely views from the balcony. Well located with restaurants and metro stations nearby.
I realy enjoyed my time in Paris. Marie Charlotte is a very friendly host. She answered very quickly to my question. The apartment is nice, located in a central environment and eventough it is small it has everything that one needs.
I stayed for about a week at Marie Charlotte’s property, and I couldn’t be happier. Firstly, she was so kind. Very responsive to any questions I had before my arrival. Unfortunately I was very late to our meeting because I had a hard time getting into town from the airport. Marie Charlotte was there when I arrived, super friendly, and even gave me some tips for getting back to the airport. The room was clean and had everything I needed for the duration of my stay. She even had an iron and ironing board, which she said no one ever asks for, but it worked perfectly for my needs. While the toilet is shared with everyone on the 6th floor, I never encountered anyone using it during my entire stay. I think someone cleans it daily too, which was nice. Building was very quiet and the neighborhood felt very safe. Metro stops were close by and there’s a Franprix just down the street. While the room is SUPER small, it served my needs perfectly since I don’t spend much time in my room when I travel anyways. I can’t recommend this property enough, and I will definitely be returning for any future stays in Paris.
The highlight of this stay is Mary Charlotte. She is incredibly kind and communicative. The place was clean and organized. It was also stocked with necessities. This room is perfect for sightseeing and exploring while having an affordable stay. It is very small but has all basic necessities. The bed is comfy and the balcony is lovely. Bear in mind the bathroom is shared and down the hall. Long durations in the room can get overwhelming if you have too many belongings or spend time indoors a lot. But it is great for the price and location
This place was perfect for a few days. It is extremely small, so be aware of that. But if it is just you, Marie is very kind and caring during your stay!
The location of this property is fantastic! The owner is fantastic! It is on the 6th floor, but there is a tiny European elevator!
You must understand, the toilet is DOWN THE PUBLIC HALLWAY. You will walk past everyone else's apartment doors. You will walk past the elevator. You need to take the apartment keys with you so you don't get locked out.
That being said, I highly recommend this tiny room. I stayed for a month, and it was an incredible experience!

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Good location adequate amenities
This place was functional and had all you would need but was very small. And....the bed was very uncomfortable. I was having serious hip pain from the bed being so hard. I almost had to leave and get another accomodation it was so bad! But this might not be a problem for others. The hostess was very kind and accomodating and the location was great! I would recommend it to other, younger guests who don't have joint issues. Plus, the photos show the bed folded up into a chair but it was in the bed position and I couldn't get it to work. Folded up it would have given you more space for day to day living.
Marie's property is the perfect place if you're traveling light and want to experience the heart of Paris. Convenient to multiple metro stops and in a lovely, hip neighborhood. The room itself is small, but it has everything you'd need as a solo traveler. Marie was very communicative and welcomed me with the info I needed. Highly recommend!
I absolutely loved staying here. It is perfect for a solo traveler. Mary-Charlotte is very kind and helpful. The location was excellent, and I enjoyed the neighborhood. I would love to go back and stay again.
Marie Chatlotte's cosy little 6th floor studio located in a beautiful old building will appeal to.those who just want a no frills but comfortable self catering base in the heart of the 11th arrondisment on Ave Parmentier .Great for the lively bars and eateries of Rue JP Timbaud and Rue Oberkamf if thats your thing. Also a brisk walk from Repubique and Bastille and Pere Luchaise , Canal Saint Martin . Also good for exploring the Marais and central Paris and the local sunday markets and for foodies , the Marche Popincourt. Its a relatively short metro journey to most of the city s 'sights musuems and galleries and places of interest and within easy reach of Gare du Nord too. The studio is ideal accomodation for the lone traveller on a budget who also wants to immerse themselves in and experience little bit of authentic Paris for a while. Can't recommend highly enough if this description fits you.
It's a small place as can be seen from the pictures but I enjoyed my stay there. The host was very kind and patient as I navigated my way from the airport to there.. which took longer than I expected but I'm not used to travelling buses and subway so it was a learning curve 😅
I loved the location with a lot of great restaurants near by. I did a lot of walking around while I was there and enjoyed the neighborhood and surrounding areas :)
I loved that it was easily accessible to all the places I wanted to see but far enough that I didn't feel like I was staying in a tourist trap. I felt like I got a good feeling of actual Paris and not just the tourist spots.
The Boulangerie (bakery) nearby was amazing, convenient and definitely worth a (many) stop by :)
Heb me geen moment onveilig gevoeld.
Als je alleen reist raad ik je dit verblijf zeker aan. Ik kom graag terug als ik weer naar Parijs toe kom
Loved this area Very local Very cool Easy as Close to subway so I could go all over the city Marie was an absolute sweetheart Thank you for having me stay!
Marie Charlotte was very prompt and helpful in answering my questions during the planning stage, and welcomed me warmly at the apartment. The space is tiny, but has everything a solo traveller needs. The bed is comfortable. The bus to St Michel is right around the corner and the metro half a block away. I especially ejoyed having my breakfast on the tiny balcony, looking at the lovely view.
For me, as a solo traveler, it was perfect. I started my day with a tea and a view over the Paris rooftops; then went to the bakery downstairs for an incredible pastry. My days were spent walking the city.
The room had a shower; the toilet was a short walk down the corridor - I never had any issues with access.
Marie-Charlotte was a charming and helpful host and the room gave me a more authentic Paris experience than a hotel.
In this Haussmann-style building where I spent 50 years of my life, I have kept a small pied-à-terre where I can greet my family and friends as well as other visitors interested in discovering Paris. I renovated the room, opted for soft colours, and bought new furniture and appliances, focusing on my future guests comfort and convenient.
