As good a location for accessing historic Beaufort as you can find, especially for the price. While some of the property around it is a little run down, overall it is safe and quiet. The house is tight for more than 2.
Beaufort, South Carolina is like a little Florida town. Right on the water, amazing people and amazing sites. If you are going to visit Paris Island, stay in Beaufort. Although when we stayed, the town was shut down because of ice and snow. The purple house that we stayed at, was amazing. Center of town, cozy little home. We will be staying here again.
Everything was great near stores and waterfront if I had to complain it would be hard to think of anything except maybe handicap handles in the shower. Will definitely book again
First time to the Beaufort area and wanted to be near the water and the downtown district. This location fit both perfectly. No surprises, the descriptions and photos depicted the property accurately. Communication with the owner was returned in a timely manner and she answered questions we had. Check in and check out were easy enough with door codes. Bonus: the owners provided a hangtag/parking pass for the South Carolina state parks in the area. We did use it going out to hunting island and it’s a nice touch. I haven’t seen in other rentals. there was a coffee shop right outside the front door across the block as well as the waterfront. Driving to the downtown area was just a few minutes and easy.
Immaculate. Short walk to downtown but the architecture along the way may make you wish it were longer (take Craven Street, the houses are particularly beautiful). Steps from Herban Market, an excellent coffee shop and cafe.
The house itself was nice. It was pretty easy to find. But the Host herself is absolutely disrespectful and rude. I had to cut my stay short and I texted the number the refrigerator saying that I was leaving (apparently it is the housemaid and not her ) keep that in mind. The host refused to refund me any money . Stating that I had texted the housemaid and not her. DO NOT STAY WITH HER! She is overly rude and inconsiderate.
This is a lovely cottage located within walking distance of the water and the town. The current photos need updating as it is newly redone with a peaceful beach theme. The cottage was well maintained with a full eat-in kitchen, a comfortable bed, and a cozy living room. Nadine was very responsive in communication. We will be back to stay here on future visits!

Property was clean, comfortable, and offered easy access to the waterfront. Will definitely stay again. Loved the journal to log in our stay.
This place is so cute! It is just a few minutes from downtown Beaufort. We enjoyed eating at Dockside, FishCamp in Port Royal, and the Foolish Frog. Me and my husband enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evenings and rocking in the rocking chairs.
Great space for two on a leisure exploring weekend for relocation potential. The cottage was just right for us; we mostly ate-out to sample the local food community. It was especially nice to be just a few blocks away from the busier downtown, but tucked in to the historic district. We rented bikes for an afternoon to ride through The Point area. Took one afternoon to drive over to Port Royal & great seafood place & local brewery on 11th. Would highly recommend!
The Purple Cottage is super neat and tidy! 3 steps to enter, then a one floor space. It has a well appointed kitchen and the bed is quite comfortable. The downtown area for shops and restaurants is about a 10 minute walk. Has a regular coffee maker and Keurig but be sure to bring your own supplies. The Cottage appears to be newly renovated and very clean! Park your car 10 feet from the front door.
My wife and I enjoyed our 5 nights at the cottage located in a quiet neighborhood with a short walk into town. It has a well appointed kitchen and all the linens we needed. The bathroom sink took awhile to get hot water from the tankless water heater and we discovered running hot water in either the shower or kitchen sink enhanced the flow in the bathroom sink. We called the host and a plumber was on site the next morning. The problem seemed improved but not resolved. However, we were able to work with this and appreciated the host's quick response. We are not plumbers, maybe this is normal.
Gerat spot, TV was interesting never used that streaming service, but I was able to airplay from my iPhone my DIRECTV, so it worked out.
We were going to bring down steaks to feed our Marine, thank goodness we didn't because we didn't find the grill.
Great Hosts, and if you were in the Pink Cottage when we arrived, we're sorry we didn't have much time to chat, we had a schedule to keep.
Will rent again, our Marine is stationed there for the next 3 years!
