Remote poor lite hayloft with added critters
We wanted a dog friendly cottage or equivalent near Looe. This fitted the criteria. But several things disappointed us. The lighting from were the car park wasn't working and potentially dangerous, we had to use our phone to see, the fridge light didn't work and the living room/ kitchen was poorly lite, not good enough to read a paper. We had a bat flying around most mornings and evening and had bat dropping around including the table we ate from. The room was clean when we arrived but as the week progress we started getting an increase in the number of flies in the room. As I am a farmer I am used to this but on the last day there were hundreds of flies buzzing around and many dead in the windows, worktops, floors, our dogs bowl and in a wine glass left on the side. An infestation to say the least which is unacceptable we didn't leave any windows open so I am not sure how they got in. The water cistern when the toilet was flushed was very noisy and would disturb anyone sleeping and the fridge was fairly old and ran for long period and again was fairly noisy. The bed was very comfortable and apart from the lighting we had everything we needed interm of equipment, I would have preferred a electric kettle rather than one you heated on the gas stove. Overall a poor experience. I think two star was generous but we enjoyed Cornwall and the good weather for October.

Hayloft Feedback
A really lovely, quaint, different and full of character building to enjoy a restful holiday in. Located pretty remotely but only a short drive away from Liskeard & Looe. Very comfortable double bed, fab shower, kids separate single beds also very comfortable, lovely open plan living area too. Owners very flexible( allowed us to check in at 12.30hrs as we arrived early) and approachable. Weather was the only disappointment! Would highly recommend this as a very relaxing holiday home. Thankyou.

Quiet and very remote
Comfortable and very quiet. The lanes we needed to drive there were very narrow with very few passing places. In this day and age the kitchen was under equipped. However, overall we enjoyed the location and it gave us access to the whole southern coast which was beautiful.

An excellent central location to explore Cornwall/Devon.
An excellent central location to explore Cornwall/Devon. The accommodation was quite comfortable and spacious. The last 2 mile to the property was a slight inconvenience as it was on a very narrow lane, my car is 2.17metre wide and was just about able to drive with frequent overgrown hedges brushing past my wind mirrors; we were in Cornwall, and its' all part of the charm although the council need to trim the hedges back to keep the roads safer to drive, else it won't be long till the lanes becomes difficult to drive safely. Once we were at the property, everything was good. Had a good 5 nights stay with welcoming and friendly owners who were always happy to help.

Sehr empfehlenswert!

Absolutely loved it! Very clean apartment set in idyllic surroundings in a good location for exploring that part of Cornwall. 12/08/17 until 19/08/17 lovely accommodation but...........
The accommodation was really nice but the fact that we couldn't leave our dogs to go out for a meal or two in the evenings was disappointing. our dogs ( English Pointers ) are well behaved and would be ok to have been left for a couple of hours in the evening to allow me and the wife to spend our money in a local restaurant instead we had to shop at Morrisons and eat in. The exercise area is ok but it wasn't secure all around it's perimeter as it states in the advertisement and we were told if the dogs get into adjoining fields " the farmers will shoot the dogs" whilst the owners horses were in their paddock all dogs were to be kept on leads this was from 11am to 8pm approx. Also the lanes too and from the property are so narrow ( wing mirrors touching the shrub both sides with no passing places ) if you came across a car in the opposite direction you would have to reverse for some distance 1/2 a mile at times for some reason I was the one reversing all the time as the locals seemed to just sit and wait for you to reverse or I would still be there now LOL. We normally holiday in France but work commitments meant a week in Cornwall for us. Seaton beach was really good for the dogs and only 15 mins away. Home and away kept our deposit for 12 days after our stay I thought unreasonable. we certainly wouldn't have booked this stay knowing what i know now.

We loved it
Charming and perfect. We loved our stay at the Hayloft. 2 adults, a child and our dog came to stay for 3 nights and it was the perfect size for us. Beautifully furnished and a lovely character property. Wonderful big comfy bed and a fantastic shower room- I would certainly recommend staying to everyone and will hopefully be visiting again soon. Very helpful on checking in. Everything you could ever possibly need is on site, laundry room, terrace area for a bbq and a lovely area for dog walks. We used this as a base to go to both the south and North coast's and found this as a great location - secluded and quiet but close enough to get to all of the places we wanted to visit in less than an hour. Highly recommended. Thanks.

Loved it - perfect for a quiet escape
The Hayloft was spacious, comfortable, and exceptionally clean, with pleasant but unobtrusive owners. It offers really good value for money and I would have no hesitation recommending or booking to stay there again. The deposit was returned very promptly. One important thing to be aware of is the lanes in the final approach are very narrow, this is typical in the area which is still very much an unspoilt rural environment There are passing spaces and all drivers encountered were sensible, patient and courteous, so drive slowly and be prepared to reverse occasionally and you will be fine. No hesitation in recommending - and in fact have already done so to friends planning a visit next year.
