Ampuero is a quaint village located 10 kms away from the beach of Laredo, a town located half way Between Bilbao and Santander. Centenary oaks, fruit orchards and green fields with scattered cattle surround the house which is placed on a hill overlooking the village. There is only a five minute walk to the main square, but it feels as if you are in the middle of nowhere. The amount of leisure activities available within the house and the area make this property a great option for a family break.
The house is completely available to our guests, there are no locked rooms or secret corners. They will enjoy all its surroundings Also, over a hectare of fields Where you can pick the fruit from our trees Directly or feed the sheep and cattle around. It is Also perfect to organize barbecues and outdoor games. Around 50 meters uphill you will find another guest house and the hosts house, in there you can jump into the swimming pool, sweat a bit in the paddle court and have a drink with your hosts who will point out all the attractions, historical sights and different activities that you 'must do or see before leaving. There are other surprises around, but we wait for you to come and check them out for yourselves.

Excellent 70th birthday week!
Spacious well-equipped house set in lovely garden with beautiful views of surrounding countryside. Excellent host, friendly and helpful. The sheep were a great success with our 2 year old grandson! Ampuero was a lively little town, not at all touristy and with plenty of amenities and the beaches 20 minutes away were beautiful. Excellent week!

Das Haus ist für eine Familie sehr geeignet und liegt in schöner Umgebung, Zufahrt sehr steil. Zu Fuß nach Ampuero, besonders auf dem großen Marktplatz ist es lebendig. José ist hilfsbereit, schnell erreichbar!

Perfect house for two families
We stayed for one week. José was the perfect host. Always smiling and a lots of ideas and suggestions for what to do in the area. He also brought us fruit and vegetables from his garden. The small village is just a few minutes walk and has a couple of restaurants, cafes and supermarkets. For us it was perfect!

La maison est très agréable, idéalement située entre mer et montagne et à 5min à pieds du centre du village qui est toujours animé le soir. José est un hôte très accueillant et sympathique, toujours souriant et serviable; ses chiens aussi ont eu beaucoup de succès auprès des enfants.

Excellent house in a quiet area. The garden was excellent and the pool area was very fine. José and Sara were very kind and always available and their dogs Nour and Tabu was so lovely. We felt at home.It went really well. I recommend it.

Gute Unterkunft in Ampuero mit kleinen Schwächen
Die Gastgeber Jose und Sarah sind sehr hilfsbereit und bemüht den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Sie können einem gute und sehr hilfreiche Tipps für Strände, Wanderungen oder Rennradrouten geben. Das Haus liegt auf einem schönen Grundstück mit einem schönen Ausblick über das Tal und den Ort. Das Grundstück ist groß und weitläufig. Der Pool liegt beim Haus der Vermieter, das sich auch auf dem Grundstück befindet. Er ist sehr groß und eignet sich auch zum Schwimmen. Die Zimmer sind ordentlich, was leider etwas fehlt ist die Liebe zum Detail. Die Küchenausstattung fehlen essentielle Dinge wie Schneidebretter oder eine Grillzange. Die Gartenmöbel befinden sich am Ende ihrer Lebensdauer. Und was andere schon geschrieben habe, es fehlt ein großer Esstisch im Wohnzimmer. Also alles Dinge, die sich mit wenig Aufwand beheben lassen würden. Wünschenswert wäre eine Anfahrtsbeschreibung, da man die Unterkunft nicht so leicht mit dem Auto findet und Google Maps nicht fahrbare Wege vorschlägt. Durch die herzliche Art der Vermieter, die schöne Lage bleibt doch eine Empfehlung, wenn man über die oben genannten Schwächen hinwegsehen kann. Vielleicht sehen die beiden das aber auch als Ansporn, dann hätten Sie eine wunderbares Ferienhaus.

La verdad es que no ha sido todo lo bueno que esperabamos. En el anuncio pone ocupacion 11 y te da un precio ppr lo que se supone que ya es el precio final, pues sorpresa, el ultimo dia nos pide mas porque se supone que la ocupacion es para 10, y como aunque fuimos 10 pedi presupuesto para 11 y fue lo que pague, luego me cobro una cama extra, el me ofrecio poner una pequeña para el niño en la habitacion de los padres (con esa cabian 11) pero en ningun momento me dijo que llevaba cargo. Pone que es para 11 pero no esta adecuada para esa cantidad de gente, en la mesa del salon, que es muy pequeño, caben 8 mesianamente bien. Dejamos los coches dentro se la finca y al dia siguiente, sorpresa, habia llovido y no podiamos sacarlos porque la cueata era barro, no nos aviso de que eso podria suceder aun sabiendolo. Otra de las cosas que no nos gusto es que quiere ser tan amable que cuando no hay nadie en la casa entra para atizar el fuego pero se pasea por toda la casa. Nosotros no volveremos.

Lovely home in a great location for exploring the surrounding area
We stayed here for 1 week and had an excellent holiday. The house is in a great location; it over looks the town and its within walking distance of local shops and restaurants. The house is well maintained, clean, benefits from a large garden and is fully equipped with everything you need for your holiday. The owners are extremely helpful should you require anything over the course of your stay.
