Beautiful location for walks. Comfortable stay, able to sit outside for the evening and had the sun streaming through the trees.Well equipt shepherds huts, slept well, peaceful environment. Enjoyed seeing the hares and wildlife.
Excellent accommodation. Very clean and well presented. Brilliant shower and kitchenette.
The bedroom was very warm and exceptionally comfortable.
The biscuits and milk left for us were a welcome touch.
The walks were great and straight out from the property.
The cons were that we had to keep our dog on the lead all the time, as we had horses in a field right by the huts, (to be fair the owner had said that to us beforehand) which was difficult with a lively dog. But he soon settled down. Would definitely recommend the accommodation. It is of a very high standard and in an idyllic setting. Maybe could do with more privacy from the owners house. But that is just me being super fussy. We would definitely stay there again.

Awful experience would not recommend
Lovely location but i was told by Dan that it was half a mile from the village. I then later that day walked over and it took me 45 minutes!
Dan also assured me that there was no mould in either of the huts but as soon as i went into the bathroom i could see black mould in the shower cubicle.
I am allergic to mould and became very ill and had to leave the next day.
Dan did deceive me on both counts and refused to refund me for the time i did not stay even though i had booked and paid for 10 nights. Only refunding me £300 out of £700 i had paid so it was a really horrible experience!
He knows that im disabled with a brain injury and have to manage on disability benefits so this was particularly greedy and unkind on his part
Warm, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. The two Shepherd's Huts (one a bedroom, the other a kitchen and bathroom) were extremely well planned - excellent use of compact space. Lovely hot powerful shower. The best surprise was the location with a wealth of wildlife - hares, muntjack deer, pheasants, partridges, and two beautiful horses, Sully and Blue. A great experience, a real retreat.
Me and my husband celebrated our ten year anniversary with a weekend stay here. It was brilliant. Two gorgeous and clean huts with everything you should need. The location is lovely, with horses outside your window. We had hoped to walk into Cambridge but unfortunately that was too far, would have taken around 2.5 hours!!! But that was fine we got a taxi which cost around £17. Overall we had a lovely time snd we would definitely recommend.
Very good Shepherd’s huts - only a few steps to the kitchen and bathroom hut.
Very close to 2 horses in a neighbouring field and they were a great calming influence on our dog - and us! Wholeheartedly recommended! We will be back!
The small space has been put to good use and you will find everything you need to make your stay a comfortable one. The check-in process is straightforward and welcoming.
Despite the weather not being kind to us, this was still a fab place to stay and the hut was a great respite from the rain. In general the accommodation is very cosy and the kitchen/bathroom hut are too. There are bedding, towels and basic kitchen equipment to cook with, which is all you need . Super quiet and great location for both walks and Cambridge centre.
Idyllic location and accomdation for a short break
The stay here has been amazing, so peaceful, and it's right next to some friendly well looked after horses!
First time staying in a shepherds hut and can safely say I'll do so again after the stay here.
Host was very friendly and welcoming - highly recommend this stay!
Firstly, the photos don’t do this place justice. It’s even cosier and homely than the pictures show.
Perfectly located, you feel you’re in your own field - with 2 horses in the next field to keep a watch on.
The huts are well equipped, the bed was comfy and warm, and the check in and comms were great.
There are plenty of seating options, whether on your cute little veranda, at the bbq, or the picnic bench under the trees.
We only stayed one night but wished we’d booked two.
Fantastic little getaway!
A lovely little getaway in the Cambridgeshire countryside. Easy travelling distance to Cambridge and nature reserves, perfect for walking the pooch.
Owners were great. Property was clean, comfortable and quiet... The perfect little getaway to rest and relax. Lovely to sit and watch the sun go down or enjoy a BBQ while watching the horses in the next field.
Highly recommend

Overall ok experience
property wasn't as described. Kitchen and bathroom were in separate hut to bedroom. This was not written in description. No tea provided in kitchen. No oil for cooking. No coal for bbq. Walking to get coal was 40 mins and directions were not clearly told.
We had such a great time and the shepherds hut so clean, quirky and comfortable. The main purpose of our trip was to relax, walk our dog and simply enjoy the great outdoors and that's exactly what we did. We'll definitely return. Thank you x
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the hut is really cute and cosy and warm in an idyllic setting with the horses close by. Really relaxing. Kitchen and bathroom nice and clean, nice hot shower, would definitely recommend it, may even visit again, so thank you 😊
Booking was a doddle, plenty of information provided and the location was perfect. Set in its own orchard, the shepherd's huts were beautiful, spotlessly clean. The bed was so comfortable, slept like a log. Will definitely be returning next year.
We enjoyed our stay although glad I put some flip flops in for the short walk to the hut with the bathroom and kitchen in the middle of the night. All very quiet and pleasant and we had comfortable nights sleep. Check in was problematic because due to the traffic we arrived an hour later than we said and had to hang around as property manager was not in to answer the door of the house.
Absolutely wonderful stay at the shepherds hut. Fantastic location, facilities, cosy sleeping, warm shower and tranquil setting. All amenities that we needed and even had a super warm blanket for sitting outside relaxing on a chilly evening. Would absolutely recommend this accommodation to anyone.
We had the most wonderful stay at Sheppards Hut, so peaceful and quaint and just what we needed in amongst a busy few weeks of travelling around! The huts are super clean and have a lovely outdoor setting to enjoy your morning coffee! Walked through the fields to the local pub for a great dinner. Very happy travellers from NZ, will stay again when we are back this side of the world for sure!!! Thank you!
