Open Plan American Ranch style Villa with stunning lake & Mountain Views
Our home is a stunning open plan american style villa built on an elevated area overlooking the stunning twin villages of Killaloe/Ballina.The house is only a 500m short stroll from the village. Killaloe, on the left bank, in County Clare is a network of charming narrow streets, flanked by old shops and houses, that climb up the steep hillside and look down over the 13th century cathedral. The buildings of Ballina, in North Tipperary line the roadway that runs parallel to the river. The high ground is dominated by the The Lakeside Hotel. Below it, one of the many first-class pubs in the town stands by the old quayside. Just upstream, a new marina caters for the hundreds of leisure craft that make Killaloe/Ballina one of the best centers for water activities.

I highly recommend this property for vacationing in and around Limerick. The accommodation was wonderful and the location perfect. The view from the porch was breathtaking and a short walk into town was refreshing. The host was most helpful and everything you could need was available on the property. The highest rating from this group of travelers from the states! Thank you for everything John.
Our family of 7, three generations, enjoyed this spacious property. It’s central location was ideal for us to explore Ireland. John was very helpful, including offering us information about car rentals through local car dealerships. It was a wonderful family vacation.
We loved our place in Ballina, and greatly appreciated all the Irish hospitality, kindness, and warmth. It was perfect for our days trips to visit this area of Ireland. Our only regret was not allowing enough time to hang in Ballina!
Really enjoyed our stay but would check that plumbing facilities were in working order
A lovely spacious house with everything provided. Would suggest that bathrooms be upgraded. Only one shower was working! There was no BBQ or Trampoline provided as advertised. If plumbing was sorted I would definitely go there again.
Stayed here for a week and had the best time. The house had everything u could possibly need. House was a great size and in a great location. We had 2 dogs with us and they had the space to run about in the large garden. Would defo return to this property.
Luxuious hideaway with all amenities just 5 minutes away near Lough Derg with all the water sports relaxing boat trips and restaurants close by. The whole family had space to relax and enjoy the break. A great holiday for a large family or group.
During our stay there Sarah was an amazing host. Communication was brillant from her and she was always checking in to how we where. Only went for two days and it was just too short . The town, the people, it all just came together. Will definitely be back and might just get a house down here. Recommend to everyone.
House in wonderful location. Large enough for our nine tenants. All required amenities are functional. Clean with necessary daily supplies. Pipes in upstairs bathroom water hammering but not affecting water flow
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house. John was an excellent host. The house is fully equipped. It’s layout is great and very suitable for families and/or couples. A great location. A really pretty and homely house. We had as much fun hanging around the house as we did touring the fabulous Limerick/Clare/Tipp tourist destinations. Added bonus we got to use the Lakeside swimming pool as they know the owners. I would recommend this lovely house to stay in. We really had a lovely time .... thank you John
The house was perfect for all our needs particularly those of my Mum aged 85 years with limited mobility. The downstairs bedroom with little cloakroom close by suited her perfectly. She was also aware I was close-by in the master bedroom next door.
So altogether home from home.
Thank you Sarah & John :)
We were delighted with this rental. The home was as pictured, but the pictures do not do justice to how lovely the house and surroundings are. The area is beautiful and was a highlight of our trip to Ireland. It was a pleasure to meet our host.
My family stayed in this beautiful villa with another family there was 10 of altogether which was able to accommodate our party. No problem. The villa was ideally situated just a short walking distance from 2 very quaint villages..
The villa was very spacious both inside and out and is completely true to the beautiful photos.. The setting was just gorgeous with stunning views. John the owner was very friendly, helpful and welcoming.. would highly recommend this villa for family holiday and would definitely return.
The house was perfect for our weekend away with a few friends, We were there to mountain bike and location to mtn just over the river was perfect, Hammock was well used by tired legs and a lovely sunny evening was had on the porch taking in the view with some sundowners!! Close to shops and pubs/restaurants. I'll happily be back when next in the area, Thanks for sharing this lovely home.
This was a great centrally-located home to access all of our Irish adventures!
Close to Limerick, it was perfect for day trips to Cork, Galway, and the Cliffs of Moher.
Would highly recommend this house for a larger group; there were six of us.
The view is excellent. The house is spacious. There were eight of us and we had so much room. We had no problem with wifi reception. Apparently the property manager tried to call me after I arrived, but my phone may not have been able to take the call while we were exploring. I probably should have called him to learn more about the heating system and where to store our own food. But the house has everything you need, and the area is magnificent.

Beautiful home in a quiet town
Beautiful home in a quiet area. One of my kids made sure to spend time lounging on the hammock in the back patio everyday. Wished we could have spent more time enjoying the home and the area more, but we ventured daily. The area is great for outdoor enthusiasts since there are trails and water activities to enjoy. Our group consisted of 3 generations so instead we used the home as a central location to access other sites including the Cliffs of Moher, Kilkenny and the Shrine in Knock. Each destination was about 2 hours from the home in different directions.

Why they chose this property
The name of the house is Serene Place and this explains it all in two words. it is so peaceful and quiet with stunning views from all areas of the house with spectacular sunsets over the mountains on a sunny evening from the tv room. What makes Serene View so unique is that you are only 500m stroll from the village so no need for a taxi if you decide to have that extra glass of wine in the many pubs and restaurants that provide fantastic entertainment from life bands to trad sessions in Liam O Riains on a Tuesday night.
