About the area
Estes Park
Estes Park is home to this cabin. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Rocky Mountain National Park and Beaver Meadows Visitor Center, while Historic Park Theatre and Stanley Museum are cultural highlights. Trout Haven Fishing Pond and Tiny Town Miniature Golf are also worth visiting. Make sure you get close to the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
The cabin is at least as good as the pictures show. We stayed a few days, drove and hiked the park, toured the Stanley, and had the best vacation I can remember.
Can't say enough about D'Rae and Michelle. They are the best hosts and the property was very well kept with impeccable views. I had an issue with my personal vehicle and the hosts accommodated us with an extension of our stay. They are simply the BEST.
Clean and cozy place for the two of us. Great dark sky for watching the stars. Coffee on the deck in the morning watching the deer graze. Easy drive to restaurants and national park. Stanley Hotel for drinks and then catch "The Shining" movie at the theater in Estes. Awesome stay!
Great quiet spot for some rest/relaxation. Has everything you need to be comfortable but close to town and all the action RMNP has to offer. Very responsive host. Would book this property when we return again!
I actually didn’t stay there, I booked the cabin for my daughter and son-in-law. But they said it was great!! They saw wildlife nearby, the views were stunning and town was close by. They really enjoyed their stay!!
Counting Stars Cabin was absolutely perfect for us! This sweet little cabin was secluded, yet close to everything. It had everything we needed for a three night stay. Cozy and inviting, the bed was so comfortable, just the right amount of space for two people, lovely deck with a grill and propane fire pit, and so quiet and serene. Whether star-gazing at night, or waking up to see a family of deer eating on the property, we can't say enough about how wonderful this place was to celebrate our milestone. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Love the location - secluded and serene with spectacular views. Another plus is downtown shops and restaurants are close by. The cabin was perfectly sized and had everything we needed for a great stay. My husband and I enjoyed spending time on the deck. We're looking forward to making a return visit next year.
Loved the property and cabin. Great location for feeling submerged in the mountains and yet less than a mile from downtown Estes Park. Place was exceptionally clean, had everything we needed in the kitchen and the bed was very comfortable. Relaxing place to unwind. Convenient access to RMNP!
Let me start by saying I do not leave very many reviews. But my wife and I stayed here for 4 nights and absolutely loved everything about this place. We loved the fact that you are only a few minutes from town but feel like you are in the middle of nowhere. The views are amazing. It is very clean.
Can't say enough great things about this place. Perfect for me & my man. Advertised as newly renovated and it was, boy it was fabulously decorated, comfortable inside and out. Great location for privacy, live deer frolicking through the property, stars felt like you could grab them, abundance of Elk, chimpmonks, rabbits and amazing sunrise & sunsets. Perfect location, walkable to the town, although we drove most of the time so we could explore the area for live animals! I highly reccomend this quaint cottage!
Terrific small cabin. Perfect for a retired couple. Walk to town if you’re somewhat fit but otherwise short 5 min drive. Quiet. Well stocked. Love the new fire pit. Washer and dryer a bonus. Great stay and will definitely look at a longer stay next time.
We really enjoyed this quiet cabin stay, and were thrilled to find it at the end of a private drive with an amazing view. Close access to Rocky Mountain National Park, where we saw bighorn rams, moose, elk and more! We also visited the MacGregor Ranch (just 5 minutes away) and did the homestead tour there. The cabin was a cozy space to rest, relax, cook some meals and we even did some star gazing on the deck! Worth getting up early to catch the sunrise. Definitely recommend and plan to return.
Fantastic little cabin! It is super close to downtown Estes Park but it feels like you’re very secluded. There were Amazing views of the mountains and we saw elk right out front multiple times. The cabin itself was very well stocked with anything we could have needed. It was also extremely clean! We would definitely stay here again.

Why they chose this property
We have always known we wanted to be in Estes Park. It was just a matter of finding the perfect place. We looked for years and years and never found anything. The second we drove up to 811 we fell in love with it and knew it was "The One". We bought this property because it is a secluded little piece of paradise and only one mile from downtown. Most cabins in Estes have neighbors really close, so you don't really have total privacy. If you do have some privacy you are usually a little ways outside of town, but not here! Once you get to the cabin you don't have anyone else around, and have your own spectacular view to enjoy. If there is a big festival going on in town and there's trouble parking then you could actually walk. 811 just had everything we were looking for and so much more in a dream place.
