CLOSE TO CASTLE ROCK LAKE AND WI DELLS! GREAT FOR GROUPS OR MULTIPLE FAMILIES

In order to make the property more affordable for smaller groups we have a tiered pricing scale. The base price listed is for up to 10 people, there is a per person, per night additional charge for over 10 guests. Enter in the dates of your stay and the number of people (including children) coming then "view details" on quote to see a breakdown of pricing for your stay including any additional fees and taxes. There are no cameras inside the house but there are security cameras outside the house.

Fully renovated beautiful “brand new” old farm house. The main floor has a living room, kitchen, dining room, utility room, half bathroom, bedroom/den and a master bedroom with walk-in closet and attached bathroom. Upstairs has another living room, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. This is a perfect set-up for several families or a big group to all get together yet still have room to spread out. There is a big sandstone fireplace in the living room, this was made with the sandstone that was cleared from the neighboring fields years ago. The updated gas insert makes it easy to use and adds a wonderful homey feeling. A large TV is mounted above the fireplace. The upstairs TV has a dvd player hooked to it. The large kitchen is perfect for baking and cooking, everything you should need is provided except your food and imagination. The utility room has a washer, dryer and sink for your convenience. There are beds to sleep up to 13 people and couches/futons to sleep up to 6 more. We provide bedding and towels but you need to bring your own beach towels. (Don’t forget your sunscreen!)

Spend time outdoors in the spacious yard (about 4 acres!)
The kids have plenty of room to run around. Bring the kids bikes to ride around. Get a game of football or soccer going with the provided balls or maybe a bean bag toss tournament? In the evenings you can sit around a campfire and do a little star gazing. (Please note the barn shown in some of the pictures is not part of this property. There are no animals on site.)

*Sandy Shores Tubing down the WI River.

* Biking at the nearby Elroy-Sparta State Bike Trail which includes railway tunnels for exploring

* Lots of Fall activities - foilage, biking, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, etc.
* Head right out the door to enjoy the many miles of marked snowmobile trails in the area
* 25-minute drive to the Wisconsin Dells Area
* Skiing, sledding or snowboarding at 2 ski hills within 25 to 45 minutes, Christmas Mountain and Cascade Mountain
*River Bay in WI Dells; Princess Kay steam engine paddle boat tours leaves from their dock, offering different cruises. The boat is equipped with a full bar and clean restrooms. Some cruises have food, entertainment and a Karaoke DJ.
*Mount Olympus has some of the largest roller coasters, water slides and go-cart rides in the United States.

Enjoyed the Farmhouse.

The Farmhouse comfortably accommodated our family (eight adults). Kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were clean. The fireplace made things cozy in the living room. TV (DISH) worked well. The dining table was large enough to accommodate us, even with a picture puzzle in progress on one end. We would definiety recomment the Mauston Farmhouse.

We loved the stay here! Beautiful property and well maintained house with everything we need. Communication with owners was easy and quick and got help when needed. Close enough to the dells to visit, but far enough away from so privacy!

Bachelorette party

We stayed here for my sister’s bachelorette party! It was awesome everything was clean, they had a ton of beds, and the house was nice and spacious! The garage was awesome with the pool table! The location is great we went to castle rock one day and floated down the Wisconsin river the next day! Would definitely recommend staying here!

Guys golf trip

This house was perfect for our family golf trip. We had three guys in 50’s and 5 boys ages 21-31. Everyone had there own bed which was awesome. We cooked on the nice gas grill all three nights. The large table in the kitchen easily sits 14 people so it was perfect. The garage game room with pool table, darts, bags and sheeting was an added bonus. The house was about 20-25 minutes to the Dells golf courses which was an easy drive. House was also well stocked with everything we needed. I would definitely rent this house again, it was perfect for our large group.

Middle School Trip

This property is amazing! We brought a group of middle schoolers and they had a great time. There is plenty of space and plenty to do--they have a garage with a foosball table and a pool table and a firepit and basketball hoops out back. It's on a relatively quiet street/country highway. We would definitely recommend.

Camp planning

A group of women get together every spring to plan for a week long girl's camp that we are leaders for in July. There was plenty of room to work together and also plenty of space to divide into small groups to plan out activities, crafts and meals. The weather was beautiful for early March so about half of us went outside for a walk in the afternoon while a few stayed behind to relax and visit. Great facility. Very homey.

This was a great place to stay for a long weekend getaway. The kids loved it. It was a bit of a drive to the ski hills we visited, but worth it. We’d stay again!

Great property. However I do think the check out list is a bit much. Firewood is there for you to purchase which was very convenient even tho we returned some at the end of our last night. Many beds to choose from. Heated floors in bathrooms any added features. Which made it a very nice stay.

Family Time

What a beautiful place! Plenty of space and lots for the kids to stay busy. The owners were quick to respond to any questions. Only suggestion would be to replace the mattress in the downstairs bedroom. We would definitely stay there again.

The Charming 'Farmhouse' in Mauston, Wisconsin

My extended family and I had an wonderful time at the Farmhouse. Upon entering, we were immediately impressed by the spacious and open layout. The open kitchen, dining room, and living room provided a perfect gathering space for our group of 19 people. The well-equipped kitchen made meal preparation a breeze, and the large dining table allowed us to enjoy our meals together. The garage, converted into a game room, entertained the tweens, teens and young adults with its pool table, air hockey, and foosball table. The picnic table in the garage provided additional seating for our meals. The extra refrigerator kept our beverages chilled. The fire pit and abundance of camp chairs allowed us to relax and bond over good conversation and s'mores. The basketball court provided fun and friendly competition for the teen boys. The two large washer/dryers made it easy to keep our clothes fresh throughout our stay. The home's central location allowed us to hike at both Mirror Lake State Park (25 miles away) and Devil's Lake State Park (39 miles away). Nearby Juneau County Castle Rock Park, just five miles from the house, offers a clean and expansive beach for $5 per car. For a local dining experience, we headed to The Way Station Saloon and Eatery a half mile from the house. The food was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. We recommend the Farmhouse for its comfortable accommodations and quiet surroundings.
