One-Of-A-Kind Adventure!

Gorgeous scenery, superb Cabin/Glamping Tent furnishings, the most friendly and service oriented staff we have ever met! The resort staff ranging from the property/cabin/Glamping Tent/client on-site host, chef, bartender, maintenance staff were 100% guest oriented! The Event Coordinator, Raven, was superb in her knowledge and execution of services that put the guest/s “first” at every turn. She is the “Face” of Columbia Woodlands and her dedication to customer service is beyond praise! Corporate management should value her like “Gold”....it is she and all the staff interacting with the guest/s on-site that makes every guest need and experience fantastic and worth wanting to return time and time again! They do the “Right Thing” all the time to make the guest the highest priority. Many of our friends will be visiting because of both the beauty and customer service! It’s unbelievable!

Rising Sun For Two

We just stayed for five days in October and absolutely enjoyed our stayed. We're close to seventy and so the ladder to the bedroom was a small challenge but it didn't present a problem. My wife loved it, in fact. The cabin is beautifully appointed and warm. There is a very nice sofa bed. The kitchen was the perfect size. Very clean and inviting throughout. Right across the road from a small lake that would have been perfect for swimming had it not been October. Crystal clear water. Caught a few Bluegill on a fly rod, which was fun while sipping wine. Grilling off steaks over an open fire capped the day. Perfect! We're going back next year with granddaughters.

Beautifully decorated and furnished cabin on 400 acres of woods and trails.

The cabin is beautifully decorated and furnished. The owners go to great lengths to ensure the cabin and grounds are meticulously maintained. There was a complimentary bottle of wine and fresh cookies waiting for us in our cabin at check-in. The kitchen is well-equipped and included a Kuerig coffee machine and a wide selection of free coffee. The cabin is on the smaller side, but still very cozy and comfortable for 2 people. The queen bed in the loft is accessed by a wooden ladder (not stairs). There is a flat screen TV with free Netflix and Apple TV. We enjoyed relaxing in the hammock and by the outdoor firepit that are adjacent to the cabin. There is plenty of free firewood for the firepit and indoor wood burning stove. The cabin came with an electric golf cart that we were able to use to explore the gravel trails that wind through the 400 acre property. There are also about 8 miles of hiking trails that meander through the property. We saw quite a few deer, a hawk and other wildlife during our hikes. All of the staff we encountered were very pleasant and helpful. We plan to return again in a few months. I highly recommend Columbia Woodlands.

My new home away from home

Wow! Amazing doesn’t even fully describe this place! I booked this mini vacation for my boyfriend for his birthday. While here, we went hiking, golf carting, canoeing, horseback riding, got a couples massage, and just relaxed. The cabin and the amenities throughout the entire property was just indescribable. Everyone was so accommodating and sweet to work with prior to booking. We didn’t see many people at all, so it felt secluded and intimate. I’m so glad I found this place and will definitely be recommending it to many others. I can’t wait to come back!! :)))

Photos Don't Do It Justice

My husband and I stayed here for the Hall of Fame Enshrinement. We have travelled extensively and stayed in some of the finest places around the world. This property is absolutely amazing. Not only is it well cared for, but there are delightful surprises to add to the ambience everywhere you turn. We had wine and a cheese platter waiting for us upon arrival with a sweet note from our hosts. Every amenity was available and the whole experience was relaxing and delightful. We will definitely come here again!!!

Fantastic!

We spent the long 4th of July weekend "glamping" at Columbia Woodlands. The cabin was a bit snug for our family of 4, but we spent so much time fishing and exploring the grounds the only time we were all in the cabin at the same time was to sleep. The property is spectacular as well as the cabin, so much attention to detail. I can not say enough about our event coordinator, Raven, such a wonderful and attentive person, she made our stay very special. We hope to return soon and try out one of the other cabins.

Best kept secret in Ohio!

Our experience at Columbia Woodlands far surpassed all of our expectations! The cabin is absolutely charming and tucked into a beautiful clearing in the woods. The inside is stylish and spotless, the loft is adorable, and the bed was like heaven. Rustic luxury describes it perfectly. The cabin on its own would be a fantastic experience, but what sets this place apart is the amenities and the property. They think of everything! The camp hostess, Rachael, was delightful! She was on hand for any questions and went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect get-away experience. Not only are there rowboats, canoes, and beautiful hiking trails, there is a spectacular lookout spot that has a fire pit, hammocks, and an open air cabin complete with a leather couch and complimentary wine to enjoy the view. The entire experience was fantastic and we are already planning a return trip. You won't be disappointed!

Cozy Cabin Getaway

Our weekend stay at Rising Sun cabin was awesome ! We arrived early evening as the sun was setting and we were welcomed by the little cabin with porch lights, and lanterns lit. A complimentary bottle of wine chilling, and cheese and crackers were waiting inside with all the lovely cozy cabin furnishings. A tiny cabin for sure, but perfect for two. The pine ladder to the loft made things interesting, not for old folks ! We loved the use of the golf cart to explore the property and saw lots of deer and wild turkeys over the next few days. We also loved the look out at Ceremony Hill. We got up early each morn to sit and watch the sun rise there. A campfire in the fire ring out front of the cabin was a great way to finish out our evenings. We look forward to another stay again someday.

Fantastic cozy cabin

My husband and I stayed for two nights for our 20th anniversary and we couldn't have chosen a better place. This charming little cabin had everything a couple needs. The LED candles, bottle of wine, meat and cheese tray and wood burner were just a few of the special touches. The fully equipped kitchen, wifi and Apple TV made the cabin complete. We explored the grounds on the golf cart and hiking, weather was perfect. Beautiful scenic areas were enhanced but seating areas, fire pits and glasses of wine. I do recommend stopping at the local wineries that are less than 15 minutes away, but once you check in you literally will not want to leave until check out. Very relaxing. We will definitely be staying here again.

A 'Treasure'

So enjoyed every detail that made our stay unforgettable. The cabin is made ready to truly welcome you in. Fires are laid ready to light...flowers are beautifully arranged...wine is available...everything you need for kitchen and bath is in place...every detail considered tomake you feel truly pampered...and done without even seeing staff. The shelters throughout property are little magical places with cots, leather sofas, pillows to cozy up and enjoy the view...and outside those were hammocks and Adirondack chairs! Fire pits laid ready can extend your time outside at your cabin or at the various locations....canoes too! We Really enjoyed taking our watercolor supplies and painting en plein air! Hiking and exploring was fun as was fly fishing (catch n release) which we did one evening catching about 7 bluegills! Great time...didn't want to leave!

Great combo of hotel/cabin

We had a great time at the cabin. The attention to detail was the biggest impression I had here. We have stayed in nice cabins before but they lacked the amenities of a hotel. In most cabins you need to bring everything but here most everything you need is provided. All the toiletries you need are there. Also the outdoors setting was great. They set up firewood and kindling in the firepit each day along with providing a lighter and newspapers so all you have to do is light it. The golf cart was great as it let us explore all areas. They have several little ponds set up with premade firepits and hammocks. We stayed in the rising sun cabin which is good for two people but not more. ALL in all this is a great place to stay.

Wonderful cabin in an amazing location

Words can't describe what an amazing place this is. Everything you can think of is provided to the highest quality possible. The attention to detail is above and beyond. We loved our little cabin! But we fell in love with Columbia Woodlands. The golf cart provided is perfect for exploring, many trails and areas for relaxation. You don't ever have to leave to enjoy your vacation. Best cabins we have ever seen and we are world travelers. Keep up the good work. We will be back!

Girls Getaway

Everything was wonderful! It was the perfect getaway for a moms and daughters weekend. The cabin was very clean and decorated so nice.....wish we would've been able to stay a little longer. The only thing that we had trouble with was the entrance. We drove by several times before we could see the road sign. Overall we would definitely return! Thank you Lu!

Absolutely Wonderful

One of the best get-aways we've ever had. The cabin was comfortable and just beautiful, and has all the amenities you could want (refrigerator, tv, wifi, etc.). It is small, but it doesn't need to be any larger, it is everything you need. The furnishings were amazing - it's hard to put into words how nice this place is. The lower floor is a comfortable living room and kitchen with a separate bathroom, and the loft is the bedroom. We spent more time outside on the porch or around the fire pit or exploring the trails than we did inside anyway. A nice evening paddle in the provided canoe around the pond was really nice too! The property is just as amazing - gravel trails for the included golf cart, and many walking trails with lots of small ponds stocked with nearly "tame" bluegill. Make sure you take the golf cart around the property. You will find a scenic look-out with an open front structure that includes a leather couch and a wine bar. Another spot has a place to relax by a small pond. Again, I can't put into words how nice this place was - but I can tell you that I'm anxious to go back in the winter to see how pretty the property is! Booking was easy, and Lu was extremely responsive and made sure our stay was great.

Perfect Getaway

Let me just say that I personally could not have asked for a better New Years getaway. Lu and the owners went well out of their way to make this an incredible experience and the pictures don't even quite capture the whole image, as great as they look. The wood burning stove is simple and great & nothing beats the smell and feel of the warmth from one. All the details that went into this cabin were incredible and not a single corner was left untouched. The owners and interior designer have great taste. The refrigerator was not near as small as I expected, it holds a few days worth of food for a few people and a good two-half gallons of milk and bottled water pretty easy. I had a cooler for back-up which turned out to be great to put the extras in. The area this is in is actually quite perfect, New Philadelphia has a great Italian place about fifteen minutes away, and if you head south there is tons to do. My now fiancee and I had a great experience and will be back for sure!

Quiet and Peaceful

The cabin itself was a fantastic oasis in the middle of the woods. With being set back from any main roads, the whole weekend we spent here was quiet and peaceful. It was a great opportunity to get away from the busy life and relax for a few days. The manager was very accommodating for our dog. The cabin was fantastic with modern amenities but still having a very rustic feel. I would go again in a heartbeat!
