classic old Muskoka, in every way
Great property on the end of the point. An old, well equipped cottage with charm. We loved the back porch with beer fridge and freezer. The charm/age comes at a price. Due to age floors aren't close to level, doors don't close so well. The bathroom needs a serious upgrade (tiny, smelly, and the tub gathers water at the far end). Your drinking water is from 5 gallon water jugs as the water is not treated. Understand these things going in so you won't be disappointed.

Another perfect week in paradise
This was our second year staying at this beautiful cottage and it was amazing. This year they added a new tv in the living room which was great for the rainy days. We enjoyed the new washers game outside and loved swimming in the clear and clean lake. We can't wait for next year!

Perfect location!
This was our second year at this cottage, and again appreciated how easy the communication was with the property owner. The cottage is pretty rustic and provides us with a real cottage experience - amazing sunrises and sunsets, deep water and shallow water swimming, kayaking, grilling on the BBQ, drinks on the dock - a wonderful Canadian summer experience. The location is amazing on Lake Muskoka with sun all day and the cottage sheltered amongst the trees. A lovely place to spend a summer vacation.

Amazing stay at the perfect locatuon!
We have stayed at a few cottages the past number of years and this was our favourite by far! Lake Muskoka is beautiful! No weeds just lots of rocky shorelines. Our host wisely recommended water shoes which was perfect! There are two lovely swimming spots. The deeper water area (by the flagpole) has bigger rocks which slope into the water. It was our favourite place! It’s also the perfect place for a morning tea or coffee. The other side of the property by the dock is shallow for quite a ways out. But lots of rocks to navigate. Water shoes make it no problem though. And in the very shallow area just off shore is sandy on the bottom. Great for little children. The property is covered by beautiful pine trees with lots of shade but nothing hindering the view of the lake. We enjoyed playing spike ball and horse shoes to break up the swimming! There are two kayaks and a canoe for exploring. The cottage itself is very well equipped and very clean. Lots of counter space in the kitchen and the water cooler is amazing! Saves on plastic bottled water. Bedrooms are good sizes and comfortable beds. We enjoyed games and meals in the lovely dining room and movie nights in the comfie living room. It’s a short drive from Bala and not far from Gravenhurst. We really loved our stay here and look forward to coming again next summer!

Perfect location!
Had a great stay at this lovely family cottage, which is as described in the owner's details. The cottage is on a wide treed lot, with wide frontage onto Lake Muskoka. There is swimming in both deep and shallow water, and sun all day in one location or the other. We really appreciated the kayaks, canoes and beach toys. The cottage is very well stocked, with all of the kitchen gadgets we needed (loved the ice maker!) and lots of games for both kids and adults to see us through the rainy days. The wifi was very good and allowed me to work for part of my stay. The owner was extremely responsive to questions and provided lots of details before our arrival. Overall, a great experience - thank you!

Charming cottage; exquisite location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is charming and the location stunning. We loved the authentic feel and relaxed set up. Ideal for anyone with school-aged children. Great spot for swimming, fishing and camp fires -- the traditional Muskoka experience!

Beautiful location, all day sun!
This is a beautiful property on Lake Muskoka. You will enjoy all day sun from one point to the other. The cottage is rustic, however equipped with all the amenities you need. The single bathroom is the only limiting factor for larger groups.

great vacation
all the family loved the rustic charm of the cottage. The property is large and the lake shore really nice. Rocks on the approach the beach were a challenge to navigate with a small sail boat.

We get old. We like old. But it’s so old the floors are completely slanted
Very rough. We can handle the old cottage. Rustic is ok (my husband fixed the queen bed as it was collapsed in the middle) the crooked floors we get. 100 years old But the shoreline crushed us. It’s not only full of old dock debris which we get from a storm. But the shoreline is ritled with debris from the old boat house. Boots tools clothes. Papers. Broken beer bottles. It made us afraid to swim anywhere If we hadn’t paid as much as we did we might not be harsh with the criticism. But we seriously overpaid

Great relaxing classic Muskoka cottage
We rented the property for a weeks vacation and we LOVED IT! The property is on a point overlooking Lake Muskoka and has a large shoreline with a dock, beach and a point to view the sunrise and swim in deep water. The cottage is rustic and is very Olde Muskoka with hardwood floors, a lovely fireplace and a great porch to relax after dinner. 4 bedrooms with comfy beds and a nice kitchen that has a dishwasher , fridge , bar fridge and wine cooler. BBQ out back and a very relaxed atmosphere was extremely relaxing. This property allows you room to spread out and is not close to neighbors but has a nice level drive out back. Would for sure rent again.

Rustic, private good location on large property, but needs serious work
It's a very old property, and the photo history was interesting, but it needs a great deal of work. There's a new dock, but the slip between the dock and the boathouse is too narrow for even a small skiff. The only place to tie up a boat, the water was only 18" deep, unmarked rocks made it hazardous for our small rental... had to paddle in with the motor raised. The boathouse has been wrecked by winter ice and pushed off its foundation. The grounds were littered with decaying boats, toys, brush and wood piles. The cottage itself was very dark even with all windows and blinds open, smelled overwhelmingly of deodorizers and disinfectant BUT was not clean. The bed linens were full of sand and grit, i suspect unchanged. Disgusting! And no linens at all for 3 beds. The floors were covered in dirt and sand as well, had to be swept the first hour. The floors have all sagged and sloped in all directions, I had to level the beds with blocks. Dangerous for elderly or disabled. The tub was sloped the wrong way and wouldn't drain, and it couldn't be dried, because the faucet ran continually, water collected behind the toilet making it all a bed for bacteria and bugs. We had a bit of rain one night, and the next 2 nights we were swarmed with mosquitoes. They were from inside, not from the outside... we sprayed and slept with burning bug coils, citrus candles and fans on high speed for 2 nights. General neglect and disrepair was obvious, our worst rental in Muskoka . We left early feeling duped and disappointed.

An awesome getaway for family gathering
This marvelous cottage was the perfect setting for our family gathering. Between the superb location and extensive amenities, there was always more to do than time would allow. Whether it was was watching the beautiful sunsets at the magnificent point or running/walking throughout the area, we had blast. Great spot you have there.
