About this property

Waterfront House in the heart of St.Neots

38 River Terrace, St Neots, is a three-bedroom townhouse located in the town's centre and overlooking the Marina and River Great Ouse.

River Terrace has two rooms with double beds and one king-sized room that can accommodate 4 guests.

The living area and kitchen are on the upper floor, while the bedrooms are on the ground floor. A king-sized bed, bedside drawers, wardrobe and chest of drawers are all in the master bedroom. Views of the Marina and River Ouse are a bonus for this accommodation. A double bed and nightstands and wardrobe can be found in bedroom number two. Bedroom 3 has a double bed, a nightstand, and a wardrobe.

The bathroom, which has a spacious shower, a toilet, and a sink, is located on the ground level.

The upper story has the living, dining area, and kitchen. The lounge also has the advantage of looking out over the Marina and the River Ouse. A spacious balcony with outdoor seating is accessible through bifold doors. Why not enjoy a bottle of wine while unwinding or feeding the fish or ducks while taking in the sunshine. An oak and glass table and chairs are in the living room together with a sizable corner sofa. On the wall is an LED smart TV with a Virgin Media connection providing TV and catch-up services on demand.

This floor also houses the kitchen, which has an electric hob and oven. In addition, there is a washer, microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, kettle, and toaster. Kitchen storage and work space are both plentiful.

Please be aware that there is only one authorised parking space, marked 38, which has space for one vehicle.

Please note that the property has a Ring Camera which is located outside of the property

Lovely house great location helpful hosts
The house was exactly as the photos show - well equipped, clean and comfortable with a view over the marina and the river. We had to call our hosts with a power issue on our first night and they couldn't have been more helpful. We weren't there on holiday so didn't get chance to explore the town or area properly but hope to do so on future visits.

Delightful long weekend in St Neots by the Ouse
Well appointed accomodation. Nice gesture with milk, bread , juice and, tea and coffee provided. Also some chocolate slices! The accomodation is upside down with bedroom on ground floor. We were there for the very hot bank holiday. The downstairs bedrooms stayed very cool which was lovely. We enjoyed the balcony which faces south. Some sun early morning and still in late evening. Sat out every evening till late, watching boating and river activity. The accomodation is a 5 mins walk to Waitrose and just around the corner from the square. Lots of eating places and takeaways. It is at the end of a cul de sac so very quiet at night. Nice Riverside walks and plenty to do locally. Castle Ashby, Houghton House, Kirby Hall, Wimpole Hall.

Wonderful Rental
We very much enjoyed our stay in St. Neots. The rental was everything we expected and more. The deck over the water and a glass of wine are the perfect way to relax after seeing sites in Cambridge and nearby. There are a number of restaurants within easy walking distance. We ate at Bohemia (small dishes, tapas, etc.) and Bosphoros Meze & Mangal (Turkish). Both were delicious. Highly recommend Bosphoros! Fleur is a wonderful host and took care of us very well. We can't say enough great things about our time there.

Top location, in a quiet part of the town
Accurate description & photos on the listing. Very easy to communicate with Fleur. A comfortable apartment for us (2 adults). Welcoming treats on arrival - wine, milk, juice, bread, cake. Kitchen pantry had many useful staple items. Great washing machine/ dryer - use the air dryer on the balcony - it works brilliantly. Close to supermarkets, restaurants & pleasant walks along the river.

Wonderful property
This was our 2nd time staying at River Terrace. We enjoyed it so much last year we booked again this year. Would highly recommend staying at any of Paul and Fleur’s properties. They are brilliant hosts and are only a text / phone call away to deal with any queries or issues. Would definitely book with them again.

Could Not Have Asked for Better!
This little piece of heaven is perfectly situated just off Market Square in St. Neot's. The apartment is very, very quiet and quite well appointed. The kitchen was comfortably equipped for full evening meals. I never found myself saying "oh, we don't have one of those" when I was cooking. We stayed for 8 nights and wished we could have stayed longer! Paul and Fleur are very welcoming hosts and take excellent care of their guests and the property. Highly recommend!

Booked in a rush but we struck gold!
We had a lovely time at River Terrace, only one day did it pour down so we went to the cinema which is maybe a 10 minute walk away. Really sunny the rest of the time. There is a Waitrose in the town and not too far away to get supplies. The fridge had new bread and jams, also butter, juice and some rolls and an egg. The kitchen is very well stocked although I couldn't find an egg cup, maybe someone broke it and not told Fleur? I managed with a small measuring cup for my boiled egg. The front door handle failed while we were there (just reached the end of its life) but one call to Fleur and it was dealt with immediately. Very happy and would stay again.

Lovely comfortable home
Had a lovely week here, staying with my sister and visiting my dad who lived locally. The house is perfectly situated in town with great views and so close to all the amenities of St Neots. Great for popping out for coffee in the morning, a bit of shopping and then lots of choice of restaurants too.

Fantastic accommodation, lovely views, quiet area
Excellent accommodation for our family of 4 plus 2 adult friends. The house was very well equipped and the living area very spacious. In a quiet area but only a short walk to the town or the river/park area. Timely communication from the friendly owners.

Lovely property with wonderful views over the river
Fleur and Paul were very friendly and welcoming hosts and were available to contact if we had any questions during our stay. On arrival we found they’d provided us with all the basics such as tea, coffee, milk etc. plus some extra treats, cake, wine and flowers. The house was a very comfy and relaxing place to stay with the added bonus of the balcony with seating area, which is an absolute sun trap, with a wonderful view over the river. There are Restaurants, pubs, tea rooms and shops all close by. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Lovely find in a great town
We were looking for a property in Cambridgeshire as we were taking our Mother away for a weekend and she had expressed an interest in going to Cambridge. We decided to stay outside of Cambridge and chose this property. It was exactly what we needed and we all had a great time. From the very first contact with Paul and Fleur they were amazing. The booking went through and we had a couple of email exchanges. (The security deposit was promptly returned too). Paul was there to greet us when we arrived. The provisions in the kitchen were more than we expected - milk, wine, cake, yogurts etc. The view from the lounge and the outside seating area are fab and the bedrooms being downstairs really works. We had a hiccup with the TV when we arrived but Paul came straight round and sorted it in no time. We found St Neots to be a lovely town and had a Chinese take away from the nearby restaurant on one night and ate in La Cucina (Italian) on the second. Both were really good. We would definitely stay there again should we want to visit the area (I think Mother would be happy to repeat the experience as well). The only things that could possibly improve it would be a lock on the bathroom door ( but that may just be an issue for us because Mother forgets there are other people who may be in there!) and also some hooks on the back of the bedroom and bathroom doors. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Cozy, clean & close to everything!
The property was in a great area, right at the central Marketplace, British food, Indian Food, Turkish Food, a Bakery (Gregg's), a grocery store x 2, plenty of clothing stores (FatFace, Dorothy Perkins) Fish & Chip Shop, Shake Shop.. you name it, it is within 2 minutes walking distance. It is also right on a bus line, and only a 5 minute drive to the local train station. It has nice accommodations and is very clean. The owner's met us upon arrival and showed us the important items, and they also have a book with instructions and menu's, anything you would need to know about staying there. There was small bits in the fridge for us upon arrival (wine, butter, bread, jam, yogurt, orange juice etc.) as well as some small cakes (mince pies), and plenty of tea, sugar, coffee etc. Completely stocked with dishes etc. Has a washing machine/dryer in one & dishwasher as well. Bedrooms were basically furnished, duvet/covers & pillows provided, and towels were provided (need a few face wash cloths). We love the place, and would definitely stay there again if we are in the area. The view from upstairs (sitting room) over the river, was great.. freezing, but great LOL. We were able to open the windows a few days when it wasn't very cold. Only negative was the washer/dryer.. the quickest setting for the dryer was 4 hours 10 minutes... so if you are planning on washing/drying, just do it overnight! Nothing bad to say about here, it is a gem! PS, thank you for the Christmas gift of cookies!!! They were quickly gone. W & C
