Beach house in Lower Largo with direct access to the sea and beautiful views
Located in the heaven of the East Neuk of Fife, in the pretty seaside village of Lower Largo. This village is home to the fictional character of Robinson Crusoe and has an interesting history behind it. It's local amenities include The Crusoe Hotel and corner shop and post office. The Haven is a charming and beautifully situated house with 5 bedrooms ( 3 double and 2 rooms with 2 single beds in each) and 4 bathrooms including 1 en-suite. It can comfortably sleep up to 10 people. It is perfect for a family get together, and it is well positioned for local access yet is very quiet and peaceful. The open plan kitchen and diner seats 10 and is fully equipped with an integrated dishwasher, gas hob, fan oven, fridge freezer with ice dispenser and coffee maker. The utility room has a washer drier. The fantastic conservatory that opens onto the decking allows for a panoramic view of the beach, coast line and stunning sea views- from here you can hear the waves lapping! The walled garden with decking and grass has a seating area and a gate and steps down to the beach. The Haven is a great base for exploring this wonderful coastline, it is only 15 minutes from the picturesque and bustling town of St Andrews and also on our doorstep are some of the oldest and top rated golf courses.

This beautiful home is set up for a comfortable stay in many ways. The bedrooms are large and comfortable; the common areas are perfect for several adults (we were a group of six); and the views are magnificent. Lisa, our host, was accessible and accommodating.
Over all it is a great house with views and conveniently located to places we wanted to see. Parking was challenging and the house was cold for some of us.
The house was perfectly located in Lower Largo with simple access to the beach and the surrounding areas such as Crail and St Andrews.
The house provided beautiful views over Largo bay and was very relaxing.
The Haven proved to be everything we hoped for: well appointed, well provisioned, spotlessly clean and in a wonderful setting. Everyone of the group enjoyed our stay to the fully, and guidance and communications from Lisa were first rate.

An amzing Holiday, beautiful Home and a realy Nice Host!!!!
Dear Lisa, we realy enjoyd our stay in your beautiful House! Please Tell me if we can come back next Time 😉
We had a wonderful family beachside holiday in The Haven. 5 Adults and 4 children comfortably fitting into the house. My other son and family were staying in a pet friendly house just across the road and we would meet on the beach for an early morning swim…fantastic!
The house is very well equipped and the children especially loved the attic playroom .
We holidayed in Lower Largo many times when my children were young and it was so nice being back, now with grandchildren.
The food in the nearby Crusoe Hotel is great if you fancy a night off cooking and The Aurrie (almost next door), was great for breakfast and a lunch.
We would very much like to return.
What a MARVELOUS location and such a comfy house. Everything you need is close by in Leven and the village is charming. We took early morning dips in the sea, the grandchildren fluttered about on the beach all day and the mums and dads had a good rest. The children’s playroom at the top of the house was magic. Booked for next year!
We rented this house for 3 weeks to celebrate some family events. The house was able to accommodate my extended family very easily. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, silverware and cookware and easy to work in. Bedrooms and bathrooms all a good size.
The most spectacular thing about the house was the view!! We were right on the Firth of Forth and it was beautiful. We had our own access to the beach and we spent a lot of time walking and collecting shells. Hours of entertainment especially for the little ones! There is a lovely cafe, The Aurrie, 3 doors from the house that we went to often. The Crusoe restaurant down the street was very good too.
The narrow street and parking were a bit of a learning curve but was fine once we figured it out.
We had a few reasons to contact the owner and she was very responsive to us.
I highly recommend the house if you are looking for a beautiful place to stay!!

Lovely property with sea views
A very spacious and well maintained property having main bathroom and ensuites to most bedrooms. The beach and sea were through a gate at the bottom of the garden which was ideal for our two grandchildren staying with us. Lower Largo is a lovely spot where we have been visiting for a number of years with a pub and hotel and general shop. The lovely weather added greatly to our beach house stay this year. Would recommend this property highly for a family group holiday!!
The Haven proved to be more than we could have imagined.
The sound of the Shore and Seagulls from the Sunroom with morning tea or coffee graciously welcoming each day will be a splendid gift to any soul.
Meals may be easily prepared in a kitchen fully appointed or choose to stroll for light morning fair @ Aurrie or evening dinner @ Crusoe, both just steps from The Haven.
No actual words written here could capture to depth of simple enjoyment and relaxation which may be experienced staying as a guest of Lisa @ The Haven.

Great!
A group of four of us stayed here for a golf vacation. The home exceeded our expectations with TONS of room for us and our stuff. We did not even use one of the bedrooms or the large TV/games room in the attic. This would be a great place for a larger group, especially with children. Several golf courses within minutes, 5 minute walk to the local pub (very friendly and cozy) and a small corner store. Few minutes drive into Leven for other dining and grocery options.
Home was very clean, very comfortable, well equipped and everything worked (unlike some places I have stayed!). The conservatory off the living room is a wonderful, bright area to read a book or just relax and enjoy the view. Kitchen is large, modern and made for easy meal prep, saving time and money over going to restaurants.
When we needed to extend our stay by one additional night, the owner was very responsive and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

Stunning location in Charming seaside town
I have stayed at many, many holiday homes over the past ten years and as I shared with Lisa, the owner, this house was the best. The rooms were well appointed, bedding comfortable, bathrooms up to date and kitchen was second to none. Everything we needed to enjoy our stay, cook and clean our laundry was at hand in this house. The location sits on the beach with beach access and a large enough space to hunt for shells or go for a long walk.
The house is well situated between Edinburgh (45 minutes) and St Andrews (20 minutes) and just a few turns off the main road.
We spent most of our time in the kitchen at the large table or in the front glass sitting room which is very comfortable and has excellent views across the water. We had a group of 6 adults and we were very comfortable with all aspects of the home. The washer/ dryer was a help and while it took a bit of time to figure it out we used it often.
The small town of lower largo has a small convenience store which has lots of items so make sure to stop in - beer snacks etc
There are two places to have a drink.
1. The Caruso hotel - good for beers and watching tv but mostly a tourist pub
2. Railway Inn- local pub with a lovely, comfortable interior, very friendly staff and the best list of gin drinks in the area!
A must go to all three locations.
Groceries are a short 15 minute drive to the next town where there are several grocers- we would recommend Sainsbury vs Aldis for freshness and selection!
I cannot say enough about Lisa’s hospitality and care while we were there. She was very responsive to my requests and is a real asset to anyone who rents the house while in holiday.
Rent this house! You won’t regret it!
We had a great time at the Haven. The large windows gave a stunning view of the sea and the big skies. The back garden was wonderful and a real sun trap on days the beach was windy. So quiet and had the beach practically to ourselves. Thank you for a delightful holiday.
The property was everything we hoped for and in a perfect location for a beach holiday with kids. Everything we needed was there for our use and the quality of the accommodation was superb. The views are incredible too.
This was our second 3 generation family holiday at this wonderful house. We had to cancel last year’s booking due to COVID. The house is comfortable, well equipped and in a perfect position right on the beach, so that the children can spend all day on the beach and in and out of the sea.
There is plenty of room for everybody, both in the house and out in the garden, which is well equipped with chairs, loungers and a picnic table . The four bathrooms are a great asset and the children loved to play in the upstairs den.
The local shop is well stocked and there are lots of interesting places to visit in Fife, but we were happy to spend most of our time on the beach and in the garden. We all agree that we feel very at home in this beautiful house in our favourite location. We hope to come back next year.
We’ve just returned from a wonderful stay at the Haven! The house itself is perfect for large families, exceptionally clean and fully kitted out with all amenities! Lots of lovely personal touches too (wellies, deck chairs, wet suits, complimentary teas coffee etc). We lucked out with the weather this weekend but would never tire of the view from the garden. So stunning. Lisa, the owner, was always quick to respond and was so helpful and accommodating. We had the best time together and will definitely return!!

A lovely warm, cosy and well equipped house. Lisa, owner, was so helpful.
We were a family group of 10 (grandparents, parents and 4 young - ages 6 to 13). The house worked so well for us all, with space to escape too if you wanted too! The beaches are just lovely to walk along. There’s so much to do in this area and the local hotel, The Crusoe, provides delicious food. We had a very happy week, and were blessed with sunshine each day!

Stunning seafront Beach House -now a family favourite!
We have been regular visitors to the East Neuk of Fife for over a decade and absolutely love staying in Lower Largo. This year we had more family members joining us from down South and we booked the larger accommodation that The Haven provides. What a wonderful house, spacious, tastefully decorated with lots of little touches and character. The upstairs doubles have amazing views across the Firth of Forth especially from the balcony. We enjoyed cooking in the large kitchen/ diner and playing games as well sunbathing on the deck and outdoor space. It was hard to tear the kids off the beach but it was just outside the patio so was easy enough to come and go. We can’t recommend The Haven enough and also can’t wait to return next year! A special place 👍🏼

Great holiday, great house
We booked The Haven for our annual 'aunties and uncles take the niblings to the beach' holiday. The house was perfectly located and equipped, with lots of space for everyone. The kids snorkelled, swam and played on the beach, and when we couldn't keep them away from the X-box any longer, there was a great games room in the attic where they could eat too many sweeties without us knowing. We had a great holiday with lovely weather, and will definitely be back. Thanks Lisa for sharing your lovely home with us.

Perfect house for a beach holiday in Fife
This house was the perfect choice for our annual 3 generation holiday. It is exceptionally comfortable and well equipped, with plenty of space inside and out for a family holiday.
We had beautiful hot sunny weather, with a sea breeze all week,so the children were happy to play on the beach or in the garden. The fact that the house is right on the beach, which was always quiet, is a huge bonus. Plenty of comfortable chairs are provided for relaxing in the garden and we were able to eat outside most of the time.
Lower Largo is a charming village with a hotel, pub and well stocked local shop. It is in an ideal position for touring the East Neuk of Fife and beyond, with opportunities for walking, cycling, golf, fishing etc.
The children enjoyed the toys and games in the house and also movie night in the upstairs den.
We particularly liked all the nautical themed items in the house and felt very at home. We were all sorry to leave and agreed that we had enjoyed our best holiday ever.

Beautiful beach house
Well appointed, really well equipped, spacious, clean, warm and comfortable. Had a lovely week with direct access to the beach (struggled to drag the children away) and a lovely suntrap of a garden so we didn't all have to get covered in sand. The village was lovely with a very quiet beach and direct access to the coastal path and disused railway line and the weather was kind. Very calm and relaxing week and wouldn't hesitate to go back to the house again.

Great place to explore
We were an extended family group with 2 children staying for a week. The house was lovely - right on the beach. Well equipped and very comfortable. There are plenty of places to explore nearby and you are only just over an hour from Edinburgh. Nearby Elie is beautiful with good restaurants.
The hotel in the village was very accommodating when we arrived late and we had a nice meal there.
Couple of things about the house. The room with the twin beds is only really suitable for kids as the beds are springy and uncomfortable. The bathroom next to the twin could do with a mirror - tricky to shave!
There is very limited parking close to the house , although this wasn't really a problem , we managed to park in the disabled bay outside to load and unload and then used the car park at the end of the village which was safe and only a short walk back to the house (along the beach if the tide is out)
All in all we had a lovely week in a lovely house. Thank you!

About the host
Hosted by Lisa Adam
I am married to Gary and I am a mum to three grown up boys. We have spent many lovely holidays on the Fife coast, especially Lower Largo and the East Neuk of Fife and know the area well.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with this house and its large bay windows which give superb panoramic views of the sea. Its location is second to none.... the joy of stepping out the back door onto the beach has allowed us to spend lazy summer days watching the sailing boats and walking along the coast and equally during the winter months enjoying the stormy sea from the warmth of the conservatory.
What makes this property unique
With its 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and upstairs large den room it is the perfect home to meet up with friends and gather families together.
