A very comfortable base camp that is equipped with every thing you need, plus many extra touches that made my stay very enjoyable. Quiet, very clean and modern. I would recommend a 4x4 to navigate the approach lane though.
Another lovely stay at Owl Lodge. A week of relaxation and recharging. Dogs loved it too. The Lodge is clean, comfortable and well appointed and Hayley, the host, looked after us very well.
We’re already looking forward to a return
Owls Lodge was great! Very clean and providing of everything you need, including acres of space. The views through the trees and across open fields were pretty special.
We had a fab time at the lodge. It was clean, comfy and well-equipped. It was also more spacious than we were expecting for a one bed! Lovely surrounding countryside. Would definitely recommend!
Great place, very peaceful setting, great host. Just access hill road a bit bumpy but we where aware, high clearance car will be recommended to access cottage.
A lovely secluded and peaceful cottage set in woodland and countryside. Birds, wildlife and trees, plus a very good pub nearby and access to Hampshire and Wiltshire. We had a wonderful long weekend and didn't want to leave
This place is lovely, perfect for a quiet getaway. Very close to Salisbury and some great walks. The owners dogs are beautiful, will come back just to see them again! Highly recommend this delightful lodge if you want some peace and quiet in a stunning setting.

Romantic
Cosy and comfortable. The scenery beautiful. Lovely place to relax away from everything.
A lovely little modernised cottage with a nice outlook. Just be aware that the laneway down to the property is unmade … you don’t need a 4x4 but don’t take the sports car 😉😂
Stayed at Owls Lodge a few times now and each time just gets better. It is truely a place to relax and unwind in a unique and beautiful location. The hosts are lovely people and give great respect to privacy throughout your stay but also easily available if needed. The accommodation is clean and comfortable and opens onto a roofed balcony and a garden that is private and very peaceful. The Owls really do lodge here too!
Excellent in every way from the welcome to the facilities and the extra assistance beyond the call for of duty.
One complaint: no owls!!

Idyllic, welcoming, peaceful, comfortable and spotless.
We had a wonderful relaxing time. The lodge is beautiful inside and out, everything you need and spotless. The local wildlife is a joy to see and it's not too far to the cathedral cities, Salisbury and Winchester. Hayley & James made us feel very welcome and we plan to return later this year for our wedding anniversary. Thank you both.
The Lodge was immaculately clean. It is very peaceful and quiet place. All communication was easy and friendly.
However, great care needs to be taken when driving along the track leading to the property; it is exceedingly rough.

A delightful little cabin in the woods with lovely views into the surrounding countryside
The lodge was very clean with good quality furniture, excellent kitchen, comfortable bed and the most superb shower. The interior has been well thought out to provide a spacious non fussy arrangement which was easy to settle into and worked well throughout our stay. The location was ideal for walking, there was an excellent network of footpaths straight from the garden gate which took you into the beautiful Bentley Wood and the lovely rolling hills in the countryside around Winterslow. Haley and family, also the locals, were very friendly which made us feel guite at home. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Owls Lodge and felt sad to leave it all behind; a very unique and special place which we feel privileged to have experienced staying there, hopefully we will have the opportunity to return.
I had decided to surprise my wife with a romantic weekend away for our 10 year anniversary and came across this property, which ticked all the right boxes.
The property is located in a peaceful location with stunning surroundings, travelling distance from the New Forest.
The property was of a high quality with we were welcomed with tea, coffee and biscuits that were. Why much appreciated after our car journey. The property is well equipped with everything that you require for a break and consists of a fully equipped kitchen that has everything you need for preparing a main meal or a light snack. The bedroom had a double bed that was very comfortable and leads to the en-suite bathroom, which again was of a high quality.
I would highly recommend this property and I plan to rent it again in the future.
Hayley was helpful right from the start and also whilst we were there. Such a lovely lady.
Cottage was exactly as described and the views from the back where a gem to wake up to each morning. The horses in the field peeking over the fence was a delight.
Perfect for exploring close by and further a field like Lulworth Cove which was well worth the drive down. Cottage was clean with everything you could need including a cheese grater ( we have a thing for looking for one straight away) 😀
Some lovely walks straight from the cottage and the walk to Lord Nelsons pub for dinner was lovely as well. Food was fantastic here. Stourhead house worth visiting and also close by seeing deer in Bentley woods. Cycled in New Forest and just walked and walked!!!
Would def come again and would recommend highly.

It's a secret! All the benefits of The New Forest but much more relaxed and laid back.
This was our second stay at Owls Lodge and when we arrived at this lovely holiday cottage we knew why we had come to stay again. It’s so peaceful and relaxing with picturesque views into the wood and the surrounding countryside. The lodge although situated in the grounds of the owners property is completely detached and has it’s own private garden, it really does feel like a cottage in the wood miles away from all the hustle and bustle. The New Forest is within easy reach from the Lodge but the area immediately surrounding the Lodge has plenty to offer, there are plenty of walks straight from the garden gate too, beautiful Bentley Woods, which dates back to early Saxon times is our favorite walk. A visit to Broughton Common Nature Reserve is a rewarding walk too.The Lodge is kept very clean and provides a comfortable getaway with ample of space for two people. We love everything about Owls Lodge and as the name suggests, you really do hear the tuwit tuwoo of the Owls that lodge there, right outside the bedroom window!
This was our forth visit to Owls Lodge. We return every year simply because we enjoy being there and it never fails to disappoint us. It’s always pleasant to arrive and feel the peace and quiet and marvel at the lovely views from the veranda . The morning sunrise can be spectacular .The lodge is always exceptionally clean and welcoming. Comfortable bed and cosy settee for two, a great shower too. The kitchen is well equipped and easy to work with. The surrounding countryside offers plenty of lovely and interesting walks, short or long. The beautiful Bently Wood is just on the doorstep and a must if you do like walking. Haley is a lovely friendly lady and most accommodating, always ready to help and makes you feel most welcome but at the same time gives good respect to your privacy during your stay. Owls Lodge is truly a secret hideaway tucked in the woods and a great escape from busy life, a place where relaxation comes easy, we love it.
We had a lovely, peaceful stay at Owl Lodge, situated amongst the oak trees with a view of the fields beyond. The lodge was homely and clean with everything you could need for a short or long stay. Rural walks are available directly from the lodge which was great for our whippet boys, and although we were not staying to visit the local area, Salisbury, Stockbridge and Marlborough are all within reach…..as is the New Forest if you don’t mind an hours drive. A good and reasonably priced breakfast or lunch can be found at the Time and Tides deli/cafe on the main road, easy to get to and plenty of parking. Thanks again Hailey for a lovely stay!
