The small, picturesque village of Hutton Buscel lies five miles south west of Scarborough, quietly situated on a hillside, with glorious views over open countryside. Pretty stone cottages and houses line the main street from end to end in this ancient, well kept village. The original 12th century church was altered in later periods and has been fully restored, and also has links to the famous Whitby Abbey. The stunning scenery in and around the Forge Valley is ideal for walkers, with many woodland and open countryside tracks, whilst the popular seaside town of Scarborough is only a few minutes’ drive. With easy access to the market towns of Pickering, Malton and Helmsley and numerous attractions nearby, Hutton Buscel makes a perfect place to stay. There are good golf courses at Kirkbymoorside and Scarborough, a steam railway and trout fishing at Pickering, and castles, gardens and museums all close by including Helmsley Castle, Duncombe Park and Ryedale Folk Museum.

Beautiful homely, cosy environment 5 mins from waterpark, 10 mins from clay pigeon shooting

Garden beautiful outside, and fantastically cosy inside. Really appreciated the little touches (even above and beyond the lovely interor decoration!), like having some dishwasher tablets available. Would heartily recommend. Very many thanks. Also thank you for chasing me when I didn't get notifications from VRBO! To people seeking lovely places, I'd also add to N.B. that some credit card providers have VRBO listed as a real estate agent for some reason, and auto-withold the payment. This property is listed on multiple sites so may be worth checking the others too if you're worried this might be a problem for you.
