Stunning Barn Conversion in a beautiful rural setting
Red Kite Lodge is one of four luxury cottages at Valley View Cottages. The cottages are set in 200 year old converted barns in a secluded, quiet, rural location at the bottom of a long private drive. This property provides all modern amenities in a cosy country cottage. The ground floor has the open plan, double height lounge, dining kitchen area, with vaulted ceiling whilst down two steps there are two bedrooms; one double and one triple (double bed with single bunk above). There is a clean modern bathroom with bath and shower over. Up stairs, on the mezzanine is a further lounge area with a comfortable day bed. Outside the cottage has it's own enclosed private garden as well as access to communal gardens. There is direct access to a public footpath so no need to get in the car to go for a walk. The small village of Newchapel is less than 20 mins easy walk where there is a traditional Welsh pub serving real ale and good food. Dog friendly, we welcome well behaved dogs (additional charge of £10 per stay).

Beautiful, peaceful location but lots of activities to do nearby - great beaches and can recomnend the canoeing on the Teifi. The games room was a big hit with our two boys (11 & 14).
We had a lovely stay in Red Kite cottage which was clean and comfortable and well equipped. The owners Neil and Kate were really friendly and provided good information about things to do in the area. The cottage is one of 4 in a beautiful location accessed down a long, narrow track which is bumpy in places, but it doesn't lead to anywhere else so that was not a problem. There are some pubs fairly close to eat out but we mostly stayed in after our days of exploring Pembrokeshire. We spent many hours watching the birds in the garden (the feeders were kept stocked up every day) and saw loads; the woodpecker and nuthatches favourites! There are chickens roaming around and a field of bullocks opposite so it truly is a rural idyll. Most of the other cottage's visitors had brought dogs with them and we feel this accommodation is especially suited to pets as there are loads of great walks around and lots of pet friendly places to visit.
Was everything it said it would be and lovely cottage. Can't wait to go back

About the host

We decided the rat race, in a busy city was no longer for us, so escaped to beautiful Pembrokeshire and bought Valley View regrets, not one!
Why they chose this property
The location captured us and we could see the further potential regarding our lovely little farm cottage and the holiday cottages, which were running successfully but had so much more to offer. Chris's family had a family holiday cottage a few miles away, where he spent most of the school holidays when he was a child, plus his dad is Welsh, so guess it was kind of in the blood.
What makes this property unique
Everything this area has to offer, peace yet close enough to everything else you need, whether its a shop or a walk on the beach - its all there within 30 minutes. The view, the birds, the locals, they certainly have made it perfect.
