Just 65 miles from New York City, a cozy, artful three-bedroom home on five acres along a babbling brook. Only minutes away from Storm King Arts Center, Woodbury Commons, Black Rock Forest Preserve and Blooming Hill Farm.
With floor to ceiling windows looking out in to the woods from the living room, there's a sense of being right in the middle of nature from morning to sunset.
Pets welcome. The house, decorated with contemporary art and family antiques, has WIFI that runs 25 mbps. It works for emailing, zooming and streaming movies, etc, but it is not high speed.
House rules are pretty simple: no smoking, no parties or gatherings, no guests that weren't disclosed at the time of booking, no hunting. Check in is 4PM. Check out is 11AM.
The house has three bedrooms---two have a queen size bed, and one has a trundle bed with two twins. We also have a pack n play. There are two large living rooms---one upstairs by the fire, and one downstairs, with a lounge area and work desk.
There are chairs by the creek for creek watching. Deer, birds and squirrels roam.
Several hundred books live here across many genres including fiction, nonfiction, poetry and essays. There's also a basket of old magazines.
A child-friendly house, we have children's books and toys, and high chairs.
For guests I leave the house open with keys on the kitchen table and am available by phone any time to answer questions.
