Perfect Location
The views and location (just yards from the water with no obstructions in between) were to die for, near to everything and yet the feeling of a nice getaway, too. Poolside we enjoyed visiting with guests from the East Coast to Alaska and enjoyed the Christmas Star, too. The New Year’s Eve fireworks all around us were a nice reprieve from the Covid thing which really does put everyone on edge to some degree. Frank down at the main office seemed to navigate it all in stride, though. All of his staff were great except for one employee that didn’t want the family to bring in a chair for Grandma to help watch the grandchildren at the pool and he made it a point to single her out until thankfully Frank had a good talk with him.:) It was nice having sand toys, goggles, beach chairs, and beach towels provided. We all absolutely loved the robes found in each of the bedroom closets, eight altogether, I’ve never seen that many provided. We appreciated the dish detergent, hair dryers, extra laundry detergent and bathroom tissue plus the oversized medicine cabinet in the master bathroom sink area (possibility an upgrade and such a great idea.) It helped us keep toiletries out-of-the-way. My granddaughters and I enjoyed sharing the walk in closet off the master bath area. Each of us had our own hanging clothes bar. The condo itself could use a light update such as new pillows with appropriate covers, new mattresses with mattress covers, etc. Several were soiled and spotted. I just tried not to think about it. The sheets could also be upgraded to hotel quality or a higher thread-count. The elastic on the fitted queen set was starting to lose it’s grip. Thankfully the mattresses seemed comfortable. The oversized chair with footstool in the front room is due for a change out, also. Housekeeping could schedule a little more time to do their cleanings because for example the toilet in the master bathroom had a heavy black mold-looking ring on the inside and I had to scrub it out with a toilet brush upon arrival. I didn’t have any problems maintaining it after that. The glass shower surround was spotted and I was told that it was hard water spotting but with the right Biodegradable product and a little extra scrubbing it could be made to look like new. I realize birds can be a problem with exterior furnishings but I did have to scrub the chairs before any of us felt comfortable sitting on them. All in all a perfect location which made for a nice family reunion.

Stranded in Paradise
We've been coming to Kai Lani for many years, and this was one of our best. The coronavirus pandemic hit during the beginning of our stay, and being locked down at the house for two months really highlighted the magic of the property. All of the properties fronting the ocean are wonderful, but this one is special, being located on a rise, and giving such a magnificent panoramic view: ocean, sunsets, whales, birds, stars, and wonderful breezes. The combination of tropical beauty and being pampered by such friendly and helpful owners made for a fantastic stay. Thanks Jon for your hospitality. Randy & Jo

This was our second time staying in Jon’s place and it’s just our favorite. Perfect for families and located close to everything you need, it can’t be beat. Our first visit went off without a hitch. Away from crowds
Our party was six friends (seniors) staying for a two week vacation. It was a perfect spot for us, close to everything but away from the crowds. The condo was big enough for us. The sunsets each night were beautiful right from our lanai. The lanai was a little small for six people but we made it work. The pool was very close and it was never crowded. Disney is a short ride from the condo or a 20 minute walk. The condo had everything we needed. We didn't have to call anyone for anything during our two week stay. Would highly recommend this condo .

wonderful place to stay!
We absolutely loved this place! The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. The kitchen was VERY well stocked, more so than most places we've stayed. The beds were very comfortable, and the layout was great for our family. We love the lagoons at Ko' Olina, and this is a great location because you can walk to the first lagoon and not have to worry about parking. Owner provides plenty of toys, books, games, beach equipment, and more! The sunsets EVERY day were incredible!! I am still sad after leaving! Would absolutely stay here again!!

Amazing condo!
Jon’s condo is amazing! It’s location is prefect! The lani opens up to a vast grassy area and you can sit on the lani and enjoy your morning coffee or your evening cocktail and watch the beautiful sunset. We watched humpback whales breach in the waves! The way this lani faces the ocean and the grassy area makes it so private. The condo is well stocked with everything you would need. Each bedroom had two cozy bathrobes in the closets! The beds were so comfortable. The kitchen has everything you would have at your own home and more. Communicating with Jon was so easy and pleasant. He was very quick to respond to each of my questions. If you want to go to Oahu but stay in a relaxing place away from the busy areas of Waikiki then Ko Olina and this condo is prefect. The pool area is beautiful and was never crowded. We will definitely be staying again in Jon’s condo! Thank your for making our vacation an amazing one!

Hawaii paradise at 18D Kai Lani
Jake and I fell in love with the scenery the minute we parked at Kai Lani. The fact that the backyard was a wide open space overlooking the ocean was heavenly! A true paradise picture. We really appreciated Pomai's welcome and the tour of the condo and grounds (and the complimentary bottle of wine was a nice touch - red, our favourite). The binders with all the information was easily accessible and everything was neat and up-to-date. Jon was easily available when we needed him. We look forward to our next visit. Everything you need!
This was one of our favorite vacations to date! The condo had everything we needed! In fact, I wish we hadn't packed as many things as we did, because most of the items we needed were already there! They had strollers, a high chair, playpens, monitors, floaties for the pool, umbrellas, boogie boards, goggles, you name it! We loved that we could walk to the beaches, stores, restaurants, other resorts, etc. The pool was a 2 min walk (not even) from our door, and the kiddos loved the easy access to it! The beds were comfortable and large. There was lots of space for cooking and relaxing! Anything we needed Jon was very quick to reply and help us out. If we were to head back to Oahu, we would definitely stay there again!

Excellant, Paradise found Indeed.
The condo was everything we expected, it was better than described in every way. Home away form home
We couldn't have found a better place to stay during our most recent trip to Oahu. Any negative feedback I'd give would be nit-picking. The condo was clean. The furnishings and appointments were exactly what we needed-- even the sheets were super soft and wonderful. If it had a rocking chair (we had our one-year-old with us) and my pillow, I would have moved in!

Impressive all around.
Right from the booking, this unit exceeded our expectations. First off, Jon was more than helpful and friendly. He provide so much pre-trip information, there was no confusion as to what to expect. We were greeted by Pōmai who was wonderful and started our visit off right with a quick orientation to the unit (a real nice touch to have someone greet us). The unit was better than the pictures in the ad and was cleaner than most hotel rooms we have stayed. The unit is equipped with Everything you can imagine and more. Even better, everything was in. Great working order. The welcome coffee and gift was a very nice addition. I can’t find enough words to describe how amazing the place was and how terrific our vacation was. The views and sunsets were breathtaking. Thank you Jon for living up to all that was promised!! We shall return!

Wonderful!
This condo had absolutely everything I needed for a spectacular, relaxing vacation in paradise. I felt immediately at home and always comfortable. The view from the lanai was breathtaking and I walked down to the little hidden beach for the sunset each day. The location is removed from the congestion of Honolulu, but shopping and entertainment are just minutes away. Jon was extremely helpful and accomodating. I'm definitely recommending this lovely place. Mahalo!

Wonderful host, beautiful setting, everything you need... and even things you didn't know you needed
We stayed in unit 18D Kai Lani from Aug 11-25/18... yes this was during the Hurricane Lane period!! Jon was the most amazing host throughout our stay - quick to respond to our questions and calmly reassuring about the hurricane. ;-) Not only is his condo wonderful but, more importantly, so is he!! We were 2 related families holidaying together with 4 adults and 3 teenagers. The dual bedrooms with king size beds was a welcome bonus!! There was enough square footage in the condo that we didn't feel crowded and being on the ground floor allows for indoor/ outdoor living with the lanai and grassy area outside the condo. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need including storage containers for leftovers, full place settings for 8 plus extra serving pieces, small appliances, pots/pans, etc. There were large beach towels, beach mats, a cooler and cooler bag, a couple of chairs and even an umbrella for beach excursions. We added a couple of boogie boards to the collection so now there are 4 to use. The washer/ dryer is great especially when you are there for a longer period of time or need to dry wet beach towels. It is a short walk down to the beach area (where we saw turtles swimming around) or to the shops in Ko Olina (there is an ABC store plus some other shops and restaurants) from the condo. The protected lagoons in Ko Olina are good options for smaller children or beginner snorkelers to get some practice before trying other beaches. Being on the leeward side of Oahu means drier, sunnier weather and being away from Waikiki means it is quieter and you can see the stars at night. There is a Wal-Mart and Costco (with gas bar) a short drive away for groceries (and anything you may have forgotten to bring). The swap meet at the Aloha Stadium (W/Sa/Su) is a "must see" and the best bet for buying any souvenirs. You can buy everything there for the same price or cheaper then the ABC stores or other souvenir shops. Lots of golf courses are a short drive away and even those on the other side of the island are only a hour's drive. We had a rental vehicle for our stay so were able to go exploring almost every day as there are +++ beautiful beaches all around Oahu. We will definitely book with Jon again for our next trip to Oahu and will share his "piece of paradise" with anyone looking for a condo to rent in Oahu. Mahalo Jon!

Another Amazing Summer!
This is our second time staying in Jon's fabulous condo. Jon is a great host. So easy to work with and very accommodating to our family. We love this condo! It's beautiful inside and out, very clean, and well stocked with everything you need. Beds are all super comfy too. The view is amazing. Hawaii has such a special meaning for our family. After vacationing in Kai Lani for several years, my wife and I knew we needed to be part of something more. We instantly fell in love with the Ko Olina Resort and all it offered. We searched some time for the right spot to call our own. Time and time again, we found ourselves asking “what if”. What if the beautiful unit our family had rented for years was available to purchase. The very unit that was home to so many wonderful memories and experiences. Well, you never know “what if” until you asked. After forging a friendship with the previous owners (who are amazing people) they agreed to sell to us! Being from Canada we love the opportunity to escape the winters for the warmth of the islands. This unit and Kai Lanai is an important part of our lives. Come, let it be part of yours.
