Escape to the Country

The Annex offers the perfect retreat for a relaxing self-catering holiday in the beautiful village of Hanley Swan near Malvern. The Annex sits within the grounds of Orchard Side Bed & Breakfast, so if you want to add breakfast to your stay for an additional fee, that's no problem. There is also an EV charger available for guests to charge their electric cars at a small additional charge.

The Annex is DOG FRIENDLY and is accessed via electric gates, with a dedicated parking space and you have independent access to the property. The layout is open plan with a fully fitted kitchen, dining table and lounge area. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric hob, oven, microwave, fridge, and plenty of utensils to help make your stay ‘home from home‘.

The open plan lounge has a good quality Sofa Bed, comfy reclining chair, dining table, four chairs, flat-screen TV with Freeview, a DVD Player, a CD/digital radio player and free WIFI. There is a spacious bathroom with WC, hand basin, bath and wall-mounted power shower and towels are provided.

The patio doors lead out onto a paved area neighbouring the owner’s garden. There is a lovely fish pond and waterfall which gives the relaxing sound of water when you sit out and enjoy the view. The bedroom has a king-size bed, large wardrobe, chest of draws, and it looks out onto a paved courtyard.

There is a fantastic pub in the village that serves amazing food and has a warm and friendly atmosphere.

The Annex sits beside Orchard Side Bed and Breakfast, so for an additional fee we can offer a breakfast option. The garden is secure so dogs are welcome. The garden is shared with the B&B owners who have a small dog and there are chickens at the bottom of the garden in an enclosed pen. We can offer a zbed or travel cot for a small child. Payment is on arrival and we accept, cash, CC or you can deposit to our Paypal account. The Annex is adjacent to Orchard Side Bed and Breakfast, so it is not suitable for late night drinking parties, as the area is very quiet.

Superb!
We stayed in the Annexe which was perfect for us. Garden views spectacular! Great for a bit of peace and quiet while being able to reach local towns and beauty spots. Gigi the host was wonderful.

Tranquil space & excellent base.
This is not just a place to stay. Gig (and Neil) have made it a space of tranquillity and peace. Here one can be open to the natural world brought near, and (if you pause) to your innermost self. At the same time it is an excellently located base to explore & enjoy the beauty & variety of the Three Counties. Gigi & Charlie are a top class team.

Exceeded expectations
Myself and Oscar my 4 1/2 year old Yorkie had a very pleasant stay in the self contained Annex part of The Orchard B&B whilst renovation works were being carried out on our house in Malvern. Hanley Swan is a pretty little village surrounded by lovely countryside, perfect for walking. The Annex itself was comfortable, clean and well equipped, a real 'home away from home' which had everything we could possibly need. Gigi was a super host, welcoming and extremely helpful in giving info and advice on the area. (Oh and Charlie was an absolute delight to meet too!). Would happily stay again if the need arose and would certainly recommended to others.

A Little Hidden Gem in Hanley Swan!
The Annex accommodation is beautifully decorated, bright and clean. The kitchen is well equipped and the bedroom is spacious with a very comfy bed. The garden is gorgeous and is so magical at night when the fairy lights come on. Gigi is very friendly, helpful and makes you feel so welcome. We definitely would highly recommend it to others and do hope to stay again.

A perfect holiday
A warm welcome awaited us at this beautiful and well equipped property. We were here fom Switzerland to play Golf, go sightseeing and relax in the charming garden. The location proved to be an ideal starting place for all activities and good food in the Swan Inn was available within walking distance (an essential asset after a bottle of wine with the dinner!). Everything, even the weather, was just perfect. We are very happy to recommend this accommodation!

Cosy, comfy, clean and quiet. Excellent local information available at the accommodation and a friendly, helpful host. All basic kitchen equipment present ( though we never found the teapot). Lots to see and do in the local area. Great place for a couple with dog to stay.

Charlie, my miniature schnauzer is my wingman and we look forward to welcoming everyone who chooses to come to this beautiful part of the UK.

I take a relaxed approach and love having people come and stay. We are close to the Malvern Hills and I can give you lots of helpful information about the area. The Annex is cosy and comfortable with full access to the gorgeous garden and outdoor seating. I have recently added a Sofa Bed as a bit more flexibility re-accommodation and you won't be disappointed when you come to stay.

The Annex is a 2-minute walk from the fabulous Swan Inn, which serves amazing food and offers a warm and friendly atmosphere.

What makes this property unique

This single level dwelling has lovely views over the gardens of Orchard Side Bed and Breakfast. The pub opens at 8.30 am to serve breakfast, so if you don't fancy cooking you can venture there for a hearty full English breakfast. Parking is secure behind electric gates, and for dogs, the garden is also safe and secure. You will find everything you need in The Annex for a long or short stay and we are here to assist you in any way to help you enjoy your time here.
