This room has a king bed. The upstairs has two bedrooms. One has a queen and a daybed that opens to make two twins. The other bedroom has a queen and a double futon. The upstairs has a full bath with a tub/shower. The living room is open to the kitchen and dining area and has a sectional couch and comfortable chairs. The kitchen is brand new, modern and has all the basics you should need to cook and enjoy meals while staying here. There is a loop trail that is about 1/3 mile long, plus some gravel roads for walking.

This cabin is just what me and my friends were looking for. The cabin was beautiful with an even better view. The hosts were very hospitable and offered recommendations for food, drinks, and activities. The cabin was very clean when we arrived and the check-in/out process was seamless. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this cabin to anyone.
Serene and beautiful property in the mountains! Home had everything you needed and super comfortable. Property manager was available and responded quickly with any questions we had. Views were amazing! We had a fantastic time during Thanksgiving week and would definitely recommend!!
What a lovely home, beautiful location, nestled in the mountains yet just a short drive to everything important.
Was equipped with everything we needed. Would definitely recommend this vacation home!
We hope to return next year.
We enjoyed a 3-week Aug. stay, seeking cooler weather than back home in SC - mission accomplished! Location has a great combo of quiet privacy in the mountains with being so convenient to the Blue Ridge Pkwy., downtown and local sights, highways to take us further afield, and grocery stores. A couple of friends visited for a few days and thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Owner was fabulous to communicate with and anxious to help correct a couple of small problems, quickly resolved. We chose not to use the charcoal grill (personal preference of a gas grill). Kitchen was adequate for breakfasts and simple dinners, but who wants to cook on vacation anyway? Lovely view from the deck.
We thoroughly enjoyed our getaway to the mountains of Asheville for a break from the Florida heat in July. The house was perfect for our family vacation, well appointed with everything that we needed. The patio with rocking chairs, and picnic table had amazing views and is just as pictured. Over a week’s time, in the neighborhood area, we saw 5 bears including 3 adorable cubs! They did not bother us at all and ran away when they saw us. The house is at a great location. Super close to grocery stores, the Blue Ridge Parkway, restaurants and 10 minutes to downtown Asheville. We had a few questions for Steve who very helpful and responded quickly to our text messages. We will definitely stay here again! Highly recommend.
Excellent stay, beautiful location, great accommodations.
Great location near the Folk Art Center. Just 10 -12 minutes drive or Uber from downtown Asheville with scenic views and the privacy that seems as though you’re far out in the countryside. Immaculate, and well appointed, with wooded mountain views from the expansive back porch. A truly relaxing and comfortable place.
This rental was everything our group needed and more. Super close to downtown Asheville while still providing some relaxing isolation. Would definitely stay here again!
The owner was very easy to communicate with, and the property was just as described. We had a short stay with our children. It was nice and quiet, and we enjoyed the quick drive to get downtown and to activities we had planned. We took a hike at the NC Arboretum, and we took our kids to the WNC Nature Center. We also enjoyed some games at the Asheville Pinball Museum and walked around downtown before grabbing dinner at Buxton Barbecue. Thanks Steve!
Our stay was nothing short of perfect! The house was beautiful, clean and close to groceries and gas. The view from the back porch was breathtaking! We even got to see a black bear one morning! We enjoyed our stay at the house and Asheville. Would definitely stay here again!
The home was beautiful and very accommodating. It was super clean, and we enjoyed all the extra linens that were provided. Steve and Louise are great host and made us feel very welcomed. I highly recommend this place for families to stay.
One of the best weeks of vacation we've ever spent, thanks to an absolutely remarkable view of the mountains at all times. If you're looking for a place to stay for 2-6 people and your goal is a cozy private retreat to hang out on a porch and admire the landscape, you can't find a better place in or around Asheville. Truly exceptional, and about 15 minutes from the heart of the city if you want to grab a meal in town.
We'll be back!
This was a very nice location with everything essential already here. The grill and firepit were awesome to have and the interior was very clean and spacious!
Myself and some girlfriends just finished up a bachelorette trip staying at this absolutely beautiful property, and I cannot recommend it enough! The property was extremely clean, spacious, and the views were beautiful. The location was also awesome to get to downtown, but so nice and quiet to escape to! Definitely would recommend!
It's always a relief when the property is exactly what was portrayed in the listing. No surprises.
There is a trade-off with the location. Certainly, there is a calm, "away from it all" feeling without being too far from anything. But it does lead to a considerable amount of driving.
This is the first time I’ve rented from VRBO.
The process with seamless! The cabin was perfect. The view was amazing. They even had firewood for us to use. We loved it.
Exceeded expectations on all measures! Steve was a great host and the neighbors are warm and welcoming. Well equipped kitchen that handled all our Thanksgiving prep, cooking, and storage needs. Layout and speciousness of the property was perfect for our multigenerational family vacation. Lots of space for all to gather with cozy nooks to rest and recharge, while taking in the views. Several hiking options without having to load everyone up and only 12 minutes to downtown for a date night sans kids and grandparents! Oh and the board games and sweet library, just bring the whole family and enjoy. Be ready to make plenty of s’mores and memories!
Our family had a wonderful stay at this vrbo! The house was located close to downtown and all of the places we wanted to visit while in Asheville. The first day driving in we saw three black bear on the drive up duckers view and it was awesome! We enjoyed the fire outside and the beautiful morning views from the back porch. The home was so quiet and peaceful, had all the accommodations you would need as a traveling guest and plenty of seating and beds. It was such a lovely stay. Thank you Steve and Louise and we hope to be back one day!
The house was cozy , the back porch was heavenly as the view was captivating. Our hosts were so helpful and quick to respond .
Steve and Louise thought of every comfort and provided it.

We bought this farm in 2010 and finished building our first vacation rental September 2013. We have enjoyed welcoming guests so much that we decided to build a second rental in 2015! Having a farm with a vacation rental has long been a dream of ours. We have a small herd of French Alpine dairy goats and plenty of chickens at our home on the other side of the property.
Why they chose this property
I have lived in Asheville since 1992 (except a 5 year stint in Seattle for school). I never get tired of this place. This small city has so much to offer. It is always changing and morphing which suits our family perfectly! As far as this property goes, we found it after a 5 year hunt for the right piece of land. It is a large parcel of land incredibly close to everything...not something that is easily found around here (hence the 5 year search). I love living in this area, and I think you will love staying here too!
What makes this property unique
This property is unique because you have access to beautiful spaces indoors and out. You also have access to woods and meadows, trees and views. It just depends where you decide to spend your time while you are here.
This house is also unique because it is situated on a farm, yet it so close to downtown Asheville and Biltmore Village. There are very few properties that can boast this fact. Most larger tracts are much further away or on steep land. This land is rolling and great for exploring.
Also, our land virtually backs up onto the Blue Ridge Parkway land. The car entrance to the Parkway is only about 2 miles away and is the entrance where the Folk Art Center is. This is a great place to visit while you are here.
There are hiking trails both on the Parkway and at Warren Wilson College, which is only a few short miles away. We also have some short trails here on the property.
