Comfortable cottage in a beautiful location
We had a great one week stay in this cottage in the summer. The location can not be beaten: gorgeous views towards the sea from the sun room, huge garden, excellent walking and cycling routes abound, a well-stocked shop in a walking distance. Plenty of nature and historical sites to visit around. The cottage itself is very comfortable and clean with plenty of room for everyone.

Lovely cottage
Beady Gwyn is situated in an ideal location for exploring the Pembrokeshire coast. The cottage is dog friendly with two large enclosed gardens. It is very human friendly too, well equipped and extremely spacious. The local pub, the Square and Compass is welcoming and serves good food. I would highly recommend this cottage.

Lovely stay
Lovely property- large and in a lovely location. We were a group of 4 adults and made good use of the kitchen and sunroom. Our dog loved the garden which was massive with lots of nice seating areas. We walked the coast, sat on the beach, visited local pubs and cafes. If you like being outdoors this is the ideal holiday cottage. Thank you for a lovely week. Penny, Andy, Karen, Darren and Ziggy.

Perfect for a break with dogs
We can't recommend Beudy Gwyn highly enough and would love to return in the future. Booking our stay through Paula was very straight forward and while usually only taking 2 dogs we really appreciated the flexibility as it can be difficult to find places that will accept 4. This was the perfect getaway for a week exploring the many coastal walks and beaches in glorious weather. Beudy Gwyn is a lovely cottage; but don't be deceived, it's not small but very spacious having 3 bedrooms, one of which is downstairs with generously sized en-suite . Set in a quiet hamlet between the A487 and Trefin, Beudy Gwyn is accessible yet also in a very peaceful location just a few minutes drive to Trefin. It is also in a perfect position to be able to explore the rest of the Pembrokshire coastline. The cottage itself is set behind a smaller cottage just off the lane and is accessed by a long gravel driveway; once the gate is closed the entire property is secure and having 4 dogs that was very important. The outside of the property is ideal with a large garden, the size of a small paddock laid to lawn, with a patio, benches and a table and chairs from which to take in the impressive views of the coast that is about half a mile away. There is a garage and shop about a quarter mile from the cottage but it isn't particularly well stocked and is very expensive so we'd recommend placing an on-line order (we used Tesco) and had our weeks supplies delivered to the cottage the next morning. Internally the cottage was very clean and well equipped; walking through the vestibule into the kitchen and then onwards into the lounge, dining room with patio windows opening out onto the garden, and then again on into the downstairs bedroom which was large with a very comfortable double-bed (the shower in the en-suite is very powerful and once in it I found that I just didn't want to get out). Just being one couple there was no need for us to venture upstairs however there were two further bedrooms up there with a shared toilet. In addition to the en-suite downstairs there is also another bathroom with bath (just in case your dog needs a wash). By day 4 one of our dogs who suffers some arthritis was finding the walking difficult so for the rest of the visit stayed mainly around the cottage which gave us a couple of days just to relax in the garden in the sun. This was the perfect short-break.

Wonderful dog friendly cottage
A lovely spacious cottage, with a fantastic, huge totally secure garden, which the dogs adored. Well equipped & gave us everything we needed for a relaxing stay in a beautiful area. Our only concern was that the two local pubs were not serving food regularly (post pandemic). This meant that any dining out required a car trip. Other than that, the cottage is in a beautiful quiet area, with easy access to many places of interest

Lovely place for dogs and humans
We loved the house and amenities . Great for dogs and people. The kitchen lighting was a bit dim in October and a few more spotlights wouldI alleviate the problem.

Probably the biggest gardens of any property I,be ever stayed in. My morning walk was twice round the garden. Perfect for dog owners. The views were fantastic. Sunsets from the conservatory were incrediblle. Conservatory furniture could have been a tad more comfortable.

Traumurlaub in Südwestwales

Fantastic property, brilliant location.
Thank you for letting us stay in your wonderful property. There were 6 of us and 1 dog and the house had ample space for all of us. The house is very equipped, the garden is amazing and it is in a fantastic location. We had the most brilliant week touring Pembrokeshire. Broad Haven, St Davids and Newgale were particular favourites. We cooked most evenings in the house however we did visit The Farmers Arms in Mathyr one evening - a must. Food and service were brilliant! I would highly recommend your house to anyone - the only problem was ..we had to leave!

Beautiful cottages in stunning surroundings. Everything was perfect for my family. Our dogs loved playing in the Gardens chasing after a ball. The weather was great all week so we were able to go to one of the beautiful beaches each day. Fantastic time. Hope to return soon..

Absolutely lovely place to stay
Can't praise this cottage highly enough. There was so much space to enjoy and the garden room was a lovely bonus, as was the large garden for the dogs to enjoy. A lovely surprise too was the notebook asking us to note any faults we found or suggestions for improvement, what a thoughtful touch. The only disappointment was the availability of long walks for our large energetic dogs (the beach just didn't cut it for our Pointer & Weimeraner), but the cottage itself was the best we've ever stayed in, and great value for money. Highly recommend!

simply the best!
what can I say!.Beudy Gwyn!.simply the best time had by all.my husband, myself and Bob's the dog. a lovely, large, spacious cottage, with everything you could wish for.all the amenities, cooker ,dishwasher, washer, tumble, microwave and much more. The open fire brought great delight and fun and we even had logs delivered as we enjoyed it so much.A spacious, dog friendly garden ,fenced in with the most spectacular views of the coast and stunning sunsets. The conservatory was my husband's haunt whilst I dominated the spacious lounge with an array of comfy sofas. The thing that most impressed me was how homely beudy gwyn felt.i immediately felt at home which is so important in a holiday. It was also lovely to see the spring flowers popping up their heads in the immaculately kept garden which was enormous. we had a brilliant time and I cant wait to return.Thankyou Paula and julie for lending us your lovely cottage.we will return! ps.lovely village ,friendly pubs and cafe.plenty of dog walks and the coast just down the road.could no wish for more!.

Perfect holiday home for dog owners
This was my third visit to Beudy Gwyn - my dog loves being there and so do I. It's so quiet and peaceful, with a lovely spot at the top of the garden where we can sit on a warm day and watch the ships go by on the distant horizon. There is a big lawn (perfect for ball-throwing, or simply chasing about) and a pergola to shade us from the summer sun. The front conservatory offers an alternative countryside view for duller days. The house itself is of a quirky layout, but homely and practical.. and clean. The village is quiet, but if you go into either of the pubs (there's one in each direction within easy walking distance - both dog friendly) there is a friendly face, usually ready for a chat! There's also a little grocery store at the petrol station around the corner, so you could cope for a few days if you didn't have a car. The nearest beach is roughly half an hour's walk, and the coastline is magnificent. I can certainly relax in this place, and so can my dog... especially after a bracing coastal walk! I would certainly recommend it to my friends - with or without pets.

Ideal place to explore Pembrokeshire
A very warm, well equipped cottage in beautiful Pembrokeshire. We found the accommodation very pleasant, ideal for a couple or family. All we needed for the time of year we visited, warm cottage, hot showers and comfortable beds. Unfortunately our visit coincided with the arrival of a winter storm but it didnt stop us enjoying local pub food and the incredible beaches. Thanks for letting us stay

Lovely house, beautiful views, great area.
We had a really lovely week here. The house itself is very clean and well equipt. The downstairs bedroom is really lovely and comfy, the upstairs beds/mattresses could do with updating but they are functional. Rest of house is large and comfortable. Lots of games and books which was great. Gardens are amazing! So great for our three dogs, they loved it! The views are so beautiful especially from at the top of the garden. The area is beautiful and brilliant, great for walking the coast path, also some lovely towns nearby. We had a great week here, lots of lovely memories made ☺️ Thank you letting us stay here.

fabulous week away
trying to find a cottage to suit three generations isn't easy, but with a ground floor bedroom and ensuite, this ticked all the boxes. Good instructions made it easy to find, and the milk in the fridge and welshcakes made for a nice welcome snack before deciding on which pub to go to for dinner House was clean, tidy and well equipped, with the new conservatory being a welcome surprise - with the fabulous views, this was our go to room for the duration of the stay. Very well located - the Pembrokeshire roads were fantastic - not a car or pothole in site for miles and miles. Really enjoyed this previously unvisited area of Wales and we will be back

Homely, welcoming, clean and comfortable
A lovely home from home cottage, with everything you need, very cute and cosy. Lots of lovely walks closeby and a local shop and pub nearby. The open fire was a real treat in the cold evenings. On arrival everything was spotlessly clean with a lovely welcome of a pint of milk and some welsh cakes. Would definitely go again if it wasn't for the long drive from Yorkshire to get there!

Originally from Middlesex, now living in Pembrokeshire with my wife and our lovely dogs. I have now retired from full time work after working for the same company for 30 years! We can now concentrate on running our lovely cottage and making sure everything is spot on for our guests. Living in Pembrokeshire has been our dream for many years, we are finally living it and it is truly stunning! Hope you will enjoy it too.

Why they chose this property

We love the area around Beudy Gwyn because of the rugged coastline and the wonderful beaches. The views from the gardens and inside the house are stunning, especially with the addition of the sunroom to the front of the cottage, overlooking the Irish Sea!
We are close to St Davids with it's wonderful cathedral and history. The people in this area are very friendly and we love to pop down to the local pub for a drink and a chat. The local pubs also serve very good food.

What makes this property unique

We just love the view from our lovely top terrace toward Strumble Head across the Irish Sea, especially when the ferry is coming in to Fishguard.
