Located on a hill top, the property has a stunning view over Perugia, Assisi and overall Umbria's landscape.
In the property there are totally 6 apartments, which can be a great spot for family or friends reunion. Each apartment is self catered and fully equipped, with a private terrace which is perfect for dining outside or just enjoying a glass of wine. The property has also a great olive grove with equipped sitting areas which guests can enjoy for dining under olive trees.
There is also a big covered area, our Veranda - Porch, with pool table, ping-pong table, soccer table which is perfect for both children and adults to spend together some quality time in hotter hours or during rainy days.
Guest can also enjoy their time exploring the area as there are several tracking roads close to the property.
One of the best features of the place is that is centrally located, which perfect for short visit to the smaller villages and medioeval towns (Orvieto, Gubbio, Todi, Montepulciano Area, Chianti area, Cortona, Lake Trasimeno...), or choose to spend a day or two in bigger historical cities such as Rome, Florence, Siena, or had to the east or west coast for a swim.

Ruhiger, entspannter Urlaub in umbrischer Hügellandschaft

Wir haben in dieser Ferienunterkunft 2 Wochen verbracht. Das Appartement war sauber und nett eingerichtet, die Küche sehr gut ausgestattet! Die zugehörige große Dachterrasse bietet einen wunderschönen Blick auf die grünen Hügel der Umgebung. Der Pool war groß genug, hätte allerdings besser gepflegt sein können. Überall auf dem Grundstück stehen Olivenbäumen, in deren Schatten man herrlich auf der Liege oder in einer der Hängematten entspannen kann. Großer Pluspunkt ist der überdachte Bereich zwischen Haus und Poolanlage, wo man sehr gemütlich sitzen kann und auch mit anderen Gästen ins Gespräch kommt. Außerdem befinden sich dort eine Tischtennisplatte, ein Billardtisch und ein Fußballkicker. Hier ist das Wifi-Signal sehr gut, was in der Wohnung nicht der Fall war. Morgens wurden frische Brötchen vom Bäcker geliefert. Insgesamt eine schöne Unterkunft mit einem sehr guten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis!

Great house at a beautiful location

We had a great time here. Tanya is a great host who gives a lot of useful information. The house, the outdoor area and the pool are clean and well kept. Within an hour drive there are so many things to see. We already booked our stay for next year.

Erholung pur!!

Vielen Dank für 10 wunderbare Tage in Umbrien. Wir waren sehr zufrieden!! Das Haus und die ganze Anlage mit Pool und überdachter Terrasse, mit Tischtennis und Billard - alles super gepflegt und sauber! die Begleitung durch die Vermieter immer kompetent !! Danke!!

Great place to be !!!!

We, a family with 2 kids, really enjoyed our stay at this nice place. The apartment was big, comfortable and very clean. Beside the nice pool and the great location wirhin the olive trees we also enjoyed the silence and beautiful view over Umbria. The hosts, Tanja and Francesco, were very kind and supported whenever required. We'd like to thank you Tanja and Francesco for the great time in Umbria and looking forward spending our next holidays at this wonderful location sgain.

A Lovely place in the heart of the Umbrian Countryside

We've just returned from a lovely stay in the Podere Schiopello. The big country house is divided into separate apartments. Ours was really large and provided two decent bedrooms which easily accommodated me and my wife as well as our 4 children. The apartment was really well appointed with a nice, well equipped kitchen and sitting room as well as a large balcony with a really lovely view of the Umbrian countryside. Outside, in the garden, there was lovely, clean and well positioned pool. With great views from everywhere in the garden, it was a really nice place to spend time. There was also a roofed open room that provided shelter from the hot sun but equipped with pool, table football and ping pong tables which provided great diversion for our young children. The house also had dogs and cats wandering about which delighted our kids. Katia and Francesco were nice and friendly hosts.

A beautiful relaxed location.

The apartments are spotless. Well equipped and superbly located. Great for walks in the hills. Easy access to local towns and villages. The hostess and host are extremely helpful. There are lovely local restaurants serving super food. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very peaceful.

Alles prima!

Mooi, gezellig, ruim appartement, prachtig gelegen. Alles was verzorgd en netjes, enkel het extra bed is aan vervanging toe. We hebben genoten van het zwembad, de hangmat, het schitterende uitzicht. Vriendelijk, gastvrij onthaal. Prijs-kwaliteit zeer goed.

Herrliche Ruhe in wundervoller Umgebung

Die zwei Wochen in Podere Schiopello waren überaus schön und kurzweilig, die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und bietet viele Möglichkeiten, sich zu verweilen. Besonders der überdachte Außenbereich hat uns sehr angesprochen. Tania und Francesco sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, ab und zu haben Sie Pizza im Steinofen für alle Gäste zubereitet - eine schöne Gelegenheit, auch mit den anderen Gästen in Kontakt zu kommen. Die Wohnung "blu" hat uns sehr gut gefallen, von der Dachterrasse hat man einen wunderschönen Ausblick auf die bewaldeten Hügel, alles war sehr sauber und die Wohnung blieb trotz hoher Temperaturen vergleichsweise kühl. Die Lage auf einem Hügel ist sehr schön, man kann von dort aus viele Orte besichtigen, selbst Rom ist in unter zwei Stunden zu erreichen. Allerdings sind die Straßen nicht in einem guten Zustand, so dass man etwas mehr Zeit für die Wege einplanen muss. Alles in allem ein sehr gelungener Aufenthalt, wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Gorgeous & Clean!

We rented 2 two bedroom apartments which were connected for 8 nights. It was perfect for the 7 of us! The apartments were big, fully equipped, well kept with beautiful furniture, tasteful decor and amazing views of the Umbrian countryside. I wish we could have enjoyed the property more, but we were out everyday sightseeing everywhere from Siena to Florence and beyond. The cafe in Tavernelle had the best cappucino EVER! Tanja was very helpful and it was a nice treat having the local bakery van show up every morning. We were two adults with two 20 year old girls, one 19 year old boy, a 22 year old boy, and a 13 year old boy. The pool table and foos ball table were nice to have. Our only problem was getting around--even with a GPS. We got lost many times and it was very frustrating. This property is way out in the country so it was very far from some of the places we visited. There are plenty of wonderful places to visit which are closer, but we didn't figure that out until the last couple of days. We would definitely stay at Podere Schiopello again, but we would plan to tour closer and stay much longer. Todi, Montepulciano, and Siena were beautiful! I think you need at least 2 weeks at this property to really enjoy the area.

Great place, big appartment, nice people!

The reality exceeded our expectations. Umbrië is beautiful, Tanja and Francesco are great hosts, we met some nice people (and other kids for our children to play with) and the appartment and pool were more than ok. Made us immediately book again for next year.

Rural elegance in Umbria Italy.

We arrived early afternoon, and Tanja was there to greet us, and made us very welcome. We had the choice of two apartments and chose the one with the terrace. The weather could have been better, but we used the terrace for breakfast and evening cocktails, enjoying the expansive views of Umbria. The apartment was nicely furnished and very comfortable. The kitchen was ideal for indoor dining, very well equipped and spacious. The rural setting was ideal for touring, and in easy reach of Assisi and Perugia. Tanja gave us the address of a restaurant in Panicale, "Osteria Il Gallo nel Pozzo". Excellent dining experience in the town Piazza. Ask her too for the olive oil maker, mm mm mmm. Hi everybody! That is me and my partner Francesco some years ago (we're a bit older now - Francesco’s beard is almost white :) but still love to travel and to welcome travelers to our property; love to show them around and give them the right hints about where to go and which hidden spots they should visit.

Why they chose this property

The property was first a farmhouse which was later abbandoned and used by local hunters as the house had a super postion locataed in the middle of the woods where from they could have under control the wild animals’ movements.
The place is just away from it all but still very close to smaller villages and medioeval towns, as well as bigger citys such as Rome, FLorence, Siena, etc.

What makes this property unique

Property best features, as our guests say, would be the the silence, throughout all day, but specially night and mornings; the peaceful position, just close to the woods and olive grooves, where you can go for a walk. The swimming pool and garden are perfect for a day rest, the porch is just perfect for quality time spending with your family, enjoy a pizza made by us specially for our guests in our wood oven.
