About this property
Agape Guest House - Family friendly, safe, bright and breezy.
Our family friendly, bright and breezy guest house is great for holiday makers and guests wanting to explore Accra and the rest of the country.
Our very cool guest house comes with ceiling fans every room and plenty of breeze from our double entrance doors to the main House which give way to mosquito netted frames and windows for extra comfort. The house has a large TV, sound system, mini fridge, amble space for storage and a private rooftop area for relaxing. You will also have access to our well equipped kitchen and our cooking facilities.
Agape Guest House is fully accessible space and we can accommodate 6 people and more beds can be added if children are included. Request for additional bamboo bunk beds must be expressed in advance which can be arranged to suit any family configuration. The house is surrounded by a safe sand pit and many trees so guest can benefit from freshly squeezed orange, plantain, banana, mangos, coconuts, papaya and limes thought the year.
The location
Agape Guest house sits in a safe and secure location in northwest Accra which is next to Bawe and over looks Weija and Macarthy Hill. It's also very well connected so getting around is easy, frequent and very cheap. Trotro is the best and most common form of transport albeit slow but you can also hire a taxi for dropping or for a full day.
Guest Access
Whilst you stay we can also provide meals for an additional cost. Breakfast is typically around £8 per person, evening meals and fruit throughout the day will be charged at a rate of £20 per person. Naa (our onsite assistant) cooks great Ghanaian, Nigerian and European dishes and I can also provide a clearly agreed menu for your whole stay. These will not be available unless discussed in advance.
The locality
The local people are very friendly and there are lots of small places to eat, buy snacks and get water to top up the fridge.
Lake Naye is a 20 minute walk down through a windy and weather beaten sears of foot paths which eventually give way to a richly green lush forest before opening up to the lake. Here you can buy river fish, snails or just relax and take a book.. Its so quiet there you can really get away from the crowds or you can even ask a local fisher man to take you by boat to Kasoa Macarthy hill and Weija to get to the Winneba Road. Its well worth a visit to and through Lake Naya even if just to see the nature.
We have an onsite manager (John, Naa and daughter ) who can take care of most onsite needs. All are excellent guides and speak a range of languages including French, Twi, Gaa and Yoruba.

About the host
Hosted by Paul Anderson

I am a passionate about our young people and committed to supporting them to make successful transitions in their lives to achieve personal growth and success.
Why they chose this property
I have chosen to build our home to ensure we always had a place to stay when coming to Ghana. When i first came to Agape it was a very very big space with only three or four buildings. I like this as it had a nice rural feel with great views to the sea and to the lake very close by. Great for anyone who likes water and local people.
What makes this property unique
The house has a really open feeling with so many windows which give our space much light and a cool breeze. We also have fantastic walk ways above the house which allow you to enjoy views to the sea and to Lake Naye. The house sits within a compound that is completely safe and very secure and we have a great care taker on site but lives in a separate house.
