Opening to the South on a boxwood and laurel garden, this XIXth century mazet is located at 10 mn walk from the center of Uzès, which is a definite advantage to enjoy the city without looking for a parking place... It has been entirely restored but its authenticity has been preserved: the floors and ceilings are traditional, the staircase leading to the first floor is made of cut stone. This old small house 'of country' for the inhabitants of the city center has today its northern frontage in edge of road but the double-glazing and the southern orientation limit the noise nuisances but the road is near... The 20 m2 terrace in the sun, the 100 m2 boxwood garden or the pergola in the shade will allow you to eat or rest. The rest of the garden is also accessible but it is shared. The house is not isolated: my villa is 20 meters away. A bakery is at 5 minutes walk from the house and all the shops of the city center at 10 minutes.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The Maison was well equipped, clean and Rachel was very helpful and available to us. The only reason we didn’t give her all fives was it was listed for 4 adults. The house was too small for 4 but Rachel offered the other two companions other accommodations. We highly recommend the Maison for 2-3 adults max.
We have been to Uzes several times before. Finding somewhere with private secure parking when you have a sports car is rare. Parking is also chargable in town. This is ideal, in grounds of owners home, 10 mins walk from main square. Bakery at end of road for that fresh French bread!
Very well equipped. Road is popular but we didn't find it too noisy when in garden.
Sonst alles top.
Lovely little house 10 mins walk from the centre of Uzes. An old house, with lots of character and reasonable amount of space, ideal for 2-4 guests. Rachel is a great host, really friendly and speaks very good English.
The kitchen is fairly basic and there’s enough equipment for rustling up simple meals, but with plenty of restaurants in town, it’s not a problem. There a lovely little terrace just outside the kitchen ideal for alfresco dining..
The property is on a main road and traffic noise can be an issue at busy times, but evenings are a little quieter. Great off-road parking and a secure private garden.
Recommended.
Lovely house within a short walk of Uzes. Rachel was on hand if needed and was so knowledgeable on the history of the town. The house was very comfortable and included everything needed for a successful stay….even those little bits needed in the kitchen.
Uzes is a stunning town crammed full of history and has lots of great restaurants, cafes and bars. Not too far away is the Haribo Museum and the Pont du Gard which should not be missed.
I highly recommend this house, and indeed Uzes for an unforgettable holiday. Many thanks to Rachel.
The property is a short(ish) walk from the medieval centre of Uzès.
It's totally secure for pets, which was perfect for us. We never needed to worry if one of our dogs wandered out of view.
The house itself is comfortable and has good facilities. The main bedroom has an impressively high ceiling - it makes the space feel huge. The main bedroom also has Aircon, which was extremely welcome during the heatwave when we were there.
Rachel is a great host. My wife fell and hurt her knee just before we traveled Rachel kindly lent my wife a medical cold pack that really helped reduce swelling and bruising.
I would definitely stay there again.

This was a very charming old Mas property with all the amenities: modern bathrooms and all the comforts (double beds) and lovely terrace for meals. The location is also superb as you need only to walk around 7-8 minutes from the house before you arrive directly at the Place aux Herbes in the heart of Uzes. Also Rachel was a great host making us feel quite at home and, whilst being very discreet, was full of good advice and excellent recommendations on what to see and visit in the Uzes region whenever our paths crossed.
