On a dead end road you will find a little piece of paradise.
The annexe of the manor house is converted into a beautiful stylish cottage where you have all the necessary luxury to enjoy your wonderful holiday
On the 6000m² land, fully fenced you will find fruit trees, old trees, big pool 12x6 mt with salt water and and a huge pool house that contains outside douche, inside bathroom and covered dining place. Good sun exposure !
We and our 3 friendly dogs will welcome you.

Serra da Lousã is well known for his hiking, old mountain villages (Xisto), wild water swimming (Praia fluvial) and MTB.
Only 25 min drive to Coimbra, university city where there is a lot of culture. In Coimbra you can take the high speed train to Porto and Lisbon.
In range of 1 hour drive you can go to the Atlantic coast or to the highest mountain of Portugal located in Serra Estrela

Peaceful beautiful location with very friendly hosts
We had a very relaxing week in this remote but stylish location. Well equipped and roomy authentic outbuilding of beautiful countryhouse. The hosts Dirk and Martine were utmost helpful and pleasant. The pool is situated In a beautiful valley surrounded by olive trees and oleanders. We will most certainly book again.

Un petit coin de paradis......
Dirk et Martine sont des hôtes charmants, sympathiques et disponibles. Toujours de bons conseils pour les visites, restos,.... Gîte très bien équipé et spacieux. Splendide piscine dont nous avons amplement profité. Très bonne situation: au calme mais à proximité de la ville. Un jardin magnifique, bien entretenu et joliment fleuri. Une situation idéale pour découvrir cette partie du Portugal. Que du bonheur!!!!!!!

Lovely House in a beautiful area.
The house was great with plenty of space. The area was stunning and very peaceful with good walks nearby. Coimbra was easy to get to. Martine and Dirk (and their dogs) were great hosts and very helpful. They provided comprehensive information on places to visit, walks, restaurants etc. which made it very easy to plan our stay.

Geweldig cottage in een oase van rust
Vlakbij Coimbra ligt dit geweldige verblijf. De cottage is van alle gemakken voorzien. De ontvangst is hartelijk en Martine en Dirk zijn zeer gastvrij. Het zwembad is een heerlijke plek om te relaxen. Zeker een aanrader.

De woning en alles er omheen was uitstekend, alsook de gastvrijheid van de eigenaren. Een woord TOP
De woning was ruim, schoon en voorzien van alle gemakken. Verder mooi zwembad en schitterende tuin/omgeving. Martine en Dirk hebben er een prachtig plekje van gemaakt. Daarnaast zijn zij uitstekende gastheer/-mevrouw. We hebben genoten.

Fabulous House and Pool. Fantastic Hosts!
We had a fantastic holiday. Martine and Dirk are lovely hosts, so welcoming and friendly. The house and the pool are immaculate and very well looked after. We arrived to a fridge full of goodies and food for our first evening - a lovely surprise. Lots to see and do nearby and they provided fantastic suggestions for local restaurants which are not too far away. The pool is perfectly situated and is bathed in sun all day. They have a fabulous pool side house where you can also rest in the shade. They also have a very reasonably priced poolside mini bar which was a lovely touch. Our kids had a great time In the pool with the various floats. We had a very relaxing time and could not fault anything. Thank you so much Martine and Dirk. We will definitely be recommending to friends.

Wunderbar entspannte Tage in schöner Atmosphäre
Uns hat er sehr gut gefallen. Das Haus und die Einrichtung ließ keine Wünsche offen und der Pool war wunderbar mit unterschiedlich variierenden Wassertiefes, so daß die Kinder auch zum Teil stehen konnten. Das Gelände war weitläufig und man konnte sowohl am Pool als auch auf unserer kleinen Terrasse Sonnen als auch Schattenplätze finden. Unsere Kinder haben insbesondere genossen, dass die Vermieter drei sehr liebe Hunde auf dem Grundstück hatten, mit denen sie viel Zeit verbracht haben. Die Vermieter, die im Haupthaus nebenan wohnten sind ausgesprochen sympathisch und machen jeden Wunsch möglich. Immer wieder gern können wir nur als Resümee sagen.

Such a wonderful stay!
If you are looking for a home in this part of Portugal - this is the place. A wonderful location (there's TONS to do in the area and the hosts provide you with so much information to pick and choose from), a peaceful setting and wonderful accommodations. The pool is wonderful and has a grill and dining area next to it. A wonderful stay with wonderful hosts. I could see us going back here in a heartbeat!

Prestations exceptionnelles
En arrivant, nous découvrons un endroit tout à fait conforme à la description. La maison est grande et fraîche, ce qui est un gros atout pour les journées caniculaires. Tout est à notre disposition, vaisselle, linge de maison, serviettes, barbecue... Et même quelques victuailles que nous découvrons à notre arrivée pour permettre de se dépanner après une longue journée de route. Il y a de quoi déjeuner dans le frigo, de la bière, du vin blanc , rouge et crémant ainsi que des fruits frais. Les chambres sont spacieuses et fraîches , donc très agréables pour une bonne nuit, mais attention aux moustiques ! Ne pas oublier de brancher les prises disponibles du même nom! Salle de bain efficace, manque peut-être juste un wc supplémentaire. Il y a même des produits de toilette à notre disposition. Nous avons passé une semaine très agréable, même avec la présence des propriétaires juste à côté , nous n'avons ressenti aucune gêne, ils sont tellement discrets et agréables, toujours prêts à vous renseigner sur les lieux à visiter et surtout de très bon conseils sur les restaurants du coin qui méritent le détour. La partie piscine avec son patio est propice au repos et à la petite sieste réparatrice ! Il y a également une véritable salle de bain avec douche et toilettes dans le poolhouse, ce qui est très bien pensé. Nous avons aussi apprécié les quelques moments passés avec eux autour d'un verre, à partager nos expériences. Nous tenons à remercier chaleureusement Martine et Dirk, pour ce séjour reposant, leur accueil est incomparable tout comme leur gîte, sans oublier les trois chiens de la maison Gotan, Baziel et Pretto, dont la présence fut très agréable. Nous recommandons vivement cette location. En souhaitant y retourner très vite.

Unbelievable tranquility
We cannot recommend This rental more highly. Martine and Dirk are perfect hosts, the accommodation is first class and for those who love cooking with the fabulous local produce the kitchen is the best equipped we have ever experienced in a rental. Oh and did we mention the private pool! There is so much todo in the local area from river beaches to hiking cycling places of historical interest etc etc - you will not be bored even if you have had enough of just chilling out a home. Enjoy!
