Being in the house you can watch the sea, the beaches and also Lisbon which is only 30 minutes away.

You can find in the area many beaches ( Arrabida , Meco, Bicas , Sesimbra ) about 15 minutes from the property.
The area is also known for good wine with 2 cellars to visit, Azeitao cheese, and cakes!

Holiday for my whole family

We had a really good stay. We enjoyed the pool, enough room for all of us, being in a quit place and the posibility for a cooker. Being in such secluded place required driving a gravel road and it all ways to a while to get anywhere. It didn't bother us that much.

Amazing villa but needs accurate description

The Villa was beautiful and the views are absolutely 💯 amazing. It is also very spacious and plenty of space for our family a total of 18 of us. Important Missed points the Villa needs to add on description for large groups You need a car or van to transport you on & off the Villa. *Spent FORTUNE on taxis ( we didn’t budget for) * Nothing in walking distance, beach, shops etc.. ( main road to little town is 45/50 mins one way). * The road to Villa is way too rough for ordinary car. * Uber drivers would not come up the road is not paved. *Taxi to Lisbon one way €55 * rubbish from the house and recycle on had to be taken to main road. 45 min walk. * Camera inside Villa( not informed) * maintenance man did not announce when he would attended (uncomfortable and disruptive). * Lost WiFi to the Villa and water for an entire evening fixed next day at 12pm. *Louis taxi service was great. *One of our taxi driver Paula was amazing.

Beautiful, but not what we thought

There's no doubt that the location is breathtaking, but it was much farther from everything than we thought. Lisbon wasn't 35 minutes, it was 1h15m each time we went (due to traffic), and that included off times of the day. Gilapinhos Beach was incredible, but it also took 35 minutes to get there. The house itself was nice and Ana was very quick and responsive, though sadly, she needed to be because the house is in need of a new dishwasher, oven and stove. Finally, the humidity prevents anything from ever drying, which makes you feel dirty all the time. All of the bed linens and towels were always musty and there was no dryer. We enjoyed the views of the house, wish we would have been closer to Lisbon, and were very excited to go home, take a shower, and sleep in clean sheets.

Résidence de rêve!

Superbe maison. Très spacieuse avec ses 9 chambres. Nous étions 14 adultes et nous avions amplement d’espace pour tous et chacun. Nous avons profité des talents culinaires de Maria Helena et de Ana à 5 reprises pour notre plus grand bonheur. Elles sont super gentilles. Nous les avons adorées. Notre hôtesse Ana est également très gentille et toujours prête à répondre à nos différents besoins ou demandes. Merci de tout coeur pour cette grande disponibilité!

Vacances d’été

Magnifique maison avec vue splendide! Le chemin pour y accéder est surprenant et à première vu il semble infranchissable mais après quelques aller-retours on s’y fait ;) L’équipement dans la maison est complet et on y manque de rien et elle est parfaite pour accueillir un grand groupe, petits, grands et ados. The villa has magnificent views including sunrise , sunset and the villages below, the ocean and mountain ranges. Clean and plenty of space for my family and friends total of 19. Most of all Ana was very accommodating and flexible that had made our vacation a memorable one and every one had a great time. She made it possible and a very good choice to celebrate my birthday at the castelo de Palmela, The location is close to amenities and the beaches. Thank you very much Ana. Beautiful for large group

We had 5 families stay in this home - it was great accommodations and space! Ana and her husband took great care of us making wonderful recommedations for dinner and beaches. It is a bit of drive to Lisbon but the scenery is gorgeous, the nearby town very cute and accessible and the beaches in Arribida - wonderful!

The views took my breath away every day! There was plenty of room for everyone. Anna recommended a private chef that came and cooked us all dinner and it was amazing!! The pool was refreshing and it got super hot so we needed it!! All around fantastic week

Wonderful and relaxing

We were a group of 12 family members ranging in age from 12 to 73. The house was such a lovely space for us all to relax and enjoy each other. The views are even more amazing than the pictures. In early June the weather was just about perfect. The host, Ana, was so kind and helpful. She arranged for cooks to come make traditional food for us and it made for such a wonderful evening for us all. The house is close enough for day trips to Lisbon and the beach. The local wineries were wonderful to visit as well. If you want a vacation where you can simply relax and also take day trips into the city, I highly recommend this house for a large group. You must have a car to get to the property. It is a little tricky to get to the house the first time, it requires driving some steep gravel roads. But, once you know how to get there it is easy. There are also lots of hiking trails directly from the house for exploring the mountain. If you are a mountain biker, this house is perfect for you as mountain bikers were plentiful (but not annoying) on the roads and trails around the house. I hope to come back again one day.

Perfect Location

We stayed here to celebrate some birthdays, and have to say that the location is absolute superb! 40 minutes from Central Location, with stunning views, bordering a national park and a short drive from some gorgeous beaches, it really couldn’t be any better. The apartment itself is spacious and fit 20 of us well for sleeping and eating, and the pool clean with a fabulous view. Thank you Ana and the hosts, we’ll certainly be back!

Best vacation ever

We stayed at the villa to celebrate anniversary, friends came from different parts of the world. The villa is perfect for a large group: max 1 bathrooms per 2 families, a lot of privacy, long table to sit comfortably 18 people, enough chairs at the pool… simply perfect! The view is gorgeous! With Ana’s 24/7 help it made it best vacation ever. She really knows what you need before you even thought about it 😃. Located on a hill and secluded area, consider having a car but if not - Ana can help arranging transportation. We managed with one car to be able to get groceries. We hope to be back!!

Ein Traum von Haus mit super schöner Aussicht und komplett ausgestattet. Die Lage ist auf einem Berg, die nur per Schotterstraße erreicht werden kann. Der Ausblick ist perfekt. Man kann in alle Himmelsrichtungen Wasser sehen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wonderful Amazingly Hosted Villa with Incredible Views

Ana was an amazing host who gave us everything we needed for a wonderful stay and lots of information to help us make the most of our time. The Villa is truly unique. The view is amazing and the pool area, eating area and balconies are fantastic places to spend time.

Familienurlaub in der Villa

Wir haben hier unseren Familienurlaub mit 12 Erwachsenen, 7 Kindern und einem Baby verbracht. Die Villa bietet alles um einen fantastischen Aufenthalt zu gewährleisten. Der Pool wurde täglich genutzt und der Ausblick ist wunderbar. Die Gastgeber Ana und Antonio waren jederzeit ansprechbar und haben gute Tipps für den Urlaub gegeben. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Family en-masse !

Ana found us this property when another one fell through… and we will be for ever grateful. The house , pool, terrace and surroundings are beautiful as is the view which has to be seen to be believed. The house accommodated 19 of us without problem and Ana was welcoming and very quick to respond to any query or problems. We had a truly memorable holiday…

17 almas españolas y una pequeña mascota (“Balú “), hemos pasado unos días fantásticos en un maravilloso País: Portugal. La casa es perfecta y el trato de Ana y Antonio ha sido exquisito. Su ubicación inmejorable, las vistas son inolvidables, te permite realizar tanto días de Playa como de visita (Lisboa, Óbidos, Cascaes, Estoril, Sintra, etc). Las playas portuguesas visitadas (Meco, Atlántica, Comporta, Saúdes, Galapos, Galapiños) muy recomendables y muy “petfriendly”. La comida portuguesa muy sabrosa, y el trato del portugués fabuloso. Como aspectos a tener en cuenta: la casa tiene muchos peldaños y el acceso por carretera es “complicadillo”. Por lo demás, claramente repetible.

No volveríamos

La casa es espectacular, vistas increíbles pero la limpieza y el mantenimiento muy deficiente. Sobre todo baños y cocina. A la entrada no había ninguno producto de limpieza. No pudimos utilizar el jacuzzi por falta de higiene. El acceso a la casa es un camino de tierra de 1,5 km con pendiente y muchas curvas. Sería conveniente avisar. La casa admite mascotas y nos pusieron pegas cuando llegamos con dos cachorros Yorkshire. La casa tiene cámaras y en ningún momento hemos sido informados. Para una casa de ese nivel y precio los servicios no son los esperados.

A memorable Holiday

Our holiday at Villa São Fransisco was memorable. The Villa is wonderfully situated high on a ridge which overlooks the Arrabida National Park to the South, and over the Tagus Estuary to the North; the views are astonishing. We were a family party of twenty but the house accommodated us with ease. The kitchen was fully equipped with all that you could ask for. The reception room was comfortable and large. The dining room table allowed all twenty of us to sit down and happily enjoy each other’s company. The bedrooms were all comfortably furnished with three of the eight bedrooms having ensuite bathrooms. The remaining bedrooms all had easy access to shower/bathrooms. The house was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The clean and well maintained swimming pool was a magnet for all and proved wonderfully refreshing during some very warm September days. It was. There are tables outside which allow parties to eat outside in the cool of the evening watching the setting sun. Road access to the Villa is a little tricky, but that should not deter anyone! We were met by the agent Ana Lopes, who along with her husband Antonio, were very helpful with any requests. We asked for a second cot which was produced very quickly: thank you. Ana was full of good advice as to the local beaches, local shopping facilities and travel to and from Lisbon which is forty minutes away. We enjoyed a memorable stay at São Fransisco. Thanks to Ana and Antonio for adding to our very special family week.

Impresionantes vistas

La estancia en villa Sao Francisco ha sido maravillosa para todos los ocupantes. Fuimos un grupo de 17 españoles y la casa es muy amplia e incluso algunas habitaciones no las usamos. Ana y su marido son encantadores. Ana nos hizo muy buenas recomendaciones para la zona y una de ellas fue que viniera Ana Emilia a cocinar un día un arroz con bacalao y bacalao espirito, espectacular de sabroso. La casa tiene una carretera para acceder a ella de tierra y un poco difícil de encontrar si no te la enseña Ana la primera vez pero eso también es una ventaja porque está muy tranquila al estar alejada de carreteras y de otras viviendas. También tiene muchas escaleras, lo cual al principio me preocupó al llevar un bebé de año y medio, pero al final con un poco de atención no hubo ningún problema. Tiene tanto trona para bebé como cuna. En cuanto a la piscina, también está fantástica, el agua a una temperatura buenísima y con vistas a la serra de la Arrábida y más allá la península de Troia. Las playas a las que fuimos fueron Figuerinha, Galapos, portinho da Arrábida, Meco y la de Troia, siempre en coche a distancia razonable de la casa y en el caso de Troia cogiendo el ferry en Setúbal. Nos gustaron muchísimo todas aunque quizá por ser más estilo cañita con aguas cristalinas las de Galapos y Portinho fueron las mejores. Ha sido un auténtico placer pasar ahí nuestras vacaciones en familia y nos encantaría repetir.
