Family two week stay
We had an overall pleasant stay at this flat in Chania. The location is fantastic, just a short walk to many great restaurants and supermarkets like Synca, and only about 10 minutes from the beautiful Old City. The flat was well-equipped with everything we needed, including a stove, oven, refrigerator, and plenty of appliances. Having both a dishwasher and a washing machine for clothes was a real convenience. The cozy interior courtyard was also a nice touch, offering a quiet space to relax after a day of sightseeing. Additionally, the staff was incredibly helpful and responsive, always ready to assist with any questions we had. We also appreciated the thoughtful inclusion of a high chair for our baby.
However, there are a few areas for improvement. We stayed on the ground floor, and one of the rooms had an exterior door separate from the main entrance. One night, someone tried to open it—possibly by mistake, as they were asking for "Vasili." This made us feel a little uneasy, so better security or clearer signage could help prevent such incidents.
Some of the finishes in the flat could use attention. The outlet sockets were loose, often coming out when unplugging something, and the window blinds were broken during our stay. Additionally, while we had requested a baby crib, we were only provided with a baby pen. Luckily, our baby slept in the bed with us, but having the proper crib would have been more convenient.
With a few small fixes, this place would be even better, but we enjoyed our stay and appreciated the location and helpful staff.
