Loved our quiet break from the bustle of the beautiful national parks. Perfect place to stay to tour the area. Our grandson loved the log cabin and the quaintness of everything.---also that there was a yard he could play in! Rustic and we loved it.
It’s a nice little cabin. Very clean. 45 minute drive from Bryce Canyon visitors center, about the same to Zion National Park visitors center and about an hour and 45 minutes to Antelope Canyon.
Not too far (15-20 minutes) from grocery stores or some restaurants.
A comfortable cabin with a nice view of the mountains!
Elaine is such a sweet hostess! The cabin was charming and had everything we needed. The beds were especially comfortable. I asked Elaine if there was a tea kettle in the cabin… the next day, she had one waiting for us on the front porch! Wow! We love the location while visiting Zion- away from busy Springdale and close to Kanab fir groceries and restaurant options. Also a great place if you are wanting to head up to Bryce Canyon as well as Zion.
Great location for our weekend at Zion - we were easily able to explore the park and head back to the cabin for a nice home base to rest and recover. Elaine was great with communication and was available when we needed a little help. Appreciative for a cozy cabin and a welcoming host. Check it out if you need a place to recoup from hikes and weather.
We enjoyed our stay at this beautifully decorated cabin. It was clean and had everything we needed. It is on a busy road for being located in a small town, but the traffic did not bother us after sundown. Thank you for sharing your place with us.
My husband and I stayed here for three days as we hiked both Bryce Canyon and Zion. The cabin was perfect for our stay and had everything we needed. Our host Elaine was very informative and kind! The history of the cabin and Elaine’s family is pretty cool too!
Thanks! Kim and Keith!
We loved old wood interior and antiques! Beautiful landscape! We would highly recommend staying there! Elaine is awesome host! Friendly, kind and helpful!
We had a very pleasant experience. Very clean. We were able to drive in a reasonable time to a lot of beautiful places. Wonderful view from the front porch. We worked through a problem with the air conditioner quickly and effectively. A charming cabin.

Adorable little cabin
This cabin was perfect for the 3 of us to explore the area. We had fires at night out front. Would have been nice if there was less light pollution so we could see the stars.
The host was not expecting us (even though everything had been confirmed) and i messaged through the app, called, and finally knocked on the door of what I hoped was the owners house. I thought we had been scammed, but it was just poor calendar keeping. A little scary since we could have been without a place. All ended up fine.
Elaine was super helpful and answered any questions we had! She even let us check in a little earlier than expected. The place was super clean and cozy! My husband I slept great every night. 10/10 recommend staying here!
Deer Crossing was exactly what we needed while visiting the National Parks and other area must-do's. The cabin is spotless and spacious, and Elaine was only ever a text message or phone call away. Some have mentioned traffic on the road in front, but we were never bothered by noise or traffic. Adding to the experience was visiting the Blue Mule Cafe just 1/4 mile walk (or quick drive) up and across the road. Perfect spot for a relaxing lunch inbetween sightseeing. We really enjoyed our stay in Mt. Carmel, Utah!
Perfect location for exploring Zion and Bryce. Extremely helpful and welcoming hostess. Plenty of cookware and a stove if you want to cook. Comfortable beds. The road is a little busy during the day but we were out exploring most of the time. Super quiet at night though.
We loved this place.
Our 4 night stay here at this lovely cabin was great!!! It is everything described on VRBO! Cozy, close to Zion where we spent all our time! It’s on the East Entrance side of the park and only 40 minutes to Zion Parking. We had no problems with traffic! It’s a stunning drive in and out of the park! Did some star gazing 15 min away! relaxed with a fire the first night! So nice! Yes there is traffic in the evening but it dies down. We had trouble connecting to the Wi-Fi but owner was instantly responsive! Within 10 minutes we were up and running!!! Great place to stay! There are other things to do close in the area so we will definitely stay here again upon our return!!!! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful, cozy cabin with us!!! We will be back!!!!
We were able to communicate with our host via phone and text prior to arrival. She was very welcoming and kind, giving directions and turning on the porch light for us. What a charming cabin - rustic, nicely decorated, comfortable beds, and a fully functional kitchen supplied with everything you need to prepare and refrigerate meals. The location is very close to the east entrance to Zion. It fronts a fairly busy road, but is fenced with a nice porch, BBQ pit and lawn area, with a great view of the mountain range beyond. Elaine, our host, was so nice and accommodating, even setting us up with a hose so we could wash our car. I definitely recommend staying at this historic cabin, which has been in her family for generations.
Neat little cabin in close proximity to Zion, although it will take you roughly 40 minutes drive time. Convenient place for a day trip to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Also convenient if you are going to Zion and Bryce. The only drawbacks are the drive time to Zion and the noise from the road.
This little cabin (Deer Crossing) was our home for 6 nights, as we explored Zion Natl Park and Bryce Canyon Natl Park. The cabin is pretty much midway between the two, making it an ideal location.
The cabin is exactly as shown in the listing. Welcoming space. Beautiful view from the front porch. Well-equipped kitchen. Small propane grill. Fire pit. As others have noted, the cabin faces Hwy 89, but it is set back a bit and traffic drops off dramatically at night. We were not disturbed.
Deer Crossing met our needs well. We highly recommend it and hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.
We loved our stay here. It is a darling cabin and very clean. It is almost like a hotel room with a tiny kitchen. Would be fine for 1-2 adults or maybe a young family. A little too close quarters for much more than that.
Hint: Turn off the porch lights and do some star-gazing!
The house is right on a busy highway but the fence does well to block the sight of the traffic. Zion and Bryce were short drives though.
Bring snacks/groceries from another area if possible (prices were stupid high for snacks at the local gas station/store!)
Would choose this property again.
Has everything you need, well located between Bryce and Zion. Recommended.
