Dartmoor Family Christma
Thank you for a very special family pre-Christmas get together. 3 generations enjoyed staying at Stonehouse. Tristan created a warm welcome with Christmas tree, fairy lights and fires lit. This house is perfect for a family special occasion. The gardens are wonderful and the surrounding area stunning. Thank you again. We hope to return in the summer.

The perfect holiday home
The stone Cottage is absolutely charmimg and has the perfect balance between old and new. I can only imagine how magical this place must feel during the winter months with its open fires and serene location. All the beds were comfortable and the place was very clean. We enjoyed the outside cabin which is where my elderly in-laws stayed. The other grandparents stayed upstairs and had no problems with the stairs. There was a total of 10 adults and one minor and there was plenty of room. The owner of the house Triston, was incredibly welcoming and helpful from the get go and he went above and beyond to help us when one of our rental cars broke down. The location is perfect with its friendly pubs and the beautiful Dartmoor. A very special house. A home from Home! Thank you for having us!

Beautiful house in lovely setting
We had a lovely stay at the Stone House - it was in beautiful large grounds, walking distant to a great pub for drinks (food was just standard pub fair), and house was very cosy. Trystan was very responsive and helpful with any queries/requests. We were a family of four adults, five children - bedrooms are quite tight, and with only two baths it was a bit of a line for showers etc so is worth taking into account! Also no dryer or washing line so tricky if you need to do laundry…. But a lovely house and grounds and would recommend!

Fantastic property for a large family group
We had a wonderful week at the Stone House. It's a perfect property for a large family group. The hosts were very welcoming and organised about the stay, and quickly replaced a couple of missing items. The house was perfect for our children aged 7 and 9, and they particularly loved the hot tub! It was super well equipped with games and climbing frames etc. The location was gorgeous on the edge of the national park, and the lanes were very quiet, even over a half term week. Beautiful walks and pubs all around. My parents in their 80s struggled a bit with the steep stairs and no downstairs loo, so that might be the only thing I would think about if booking again! Thank you for a wonderful week!

Great stay in a lovely setting.
We were a party of 6 adults and 4 children under 10. The house is comfortable and spacious and suited us perfectly. The children had a wonderful time playing in the enormous garden and on the facilities provided. We adults enjoyed the garden as well. It is a relaxing place to be.
