Panhandle Getaways furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the grocery store. Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has amenities (like hotel but NOT restocked) shampoo, conditioner, soap bar. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom and one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens and towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the pool and beach.

Great Vacation Spot

The unit was everything we hoped. Clean, well stocked, great view. We were so thankful to be on the second floor because we didn’t need to use the elevator.

Great Vacation

The room location was ideal. Best floor to be on. No need to take the elevators and glad we didn’t need to because the wait was LONG. Enjoyed Starbucks being on the property. Room could have been a little cleaner upon arrival. The pool needed more lighting at night…so dark you couldn’t see your kids.

Exactly what we expected!

We enjoyed this condo/stay so much! The property was exactly what I expected. Overall clean and comfy with a beautiful gulf view! We also appreciated having a fully stocked kitchen with all cookware/cups/plates/etc. that we needed. Would definitely return and stay again!

Great ocean view and SECOND FLOOR is LIFE SAVING!!!!!

The condo was in a good location being on the second floor with an amazing ocean view! There was low water pressure in the showers and the kitchen faucet needs an upgrade. But the rest was very good. Being located right off walkway where you check is was so convenient and you do not have to use elevators at all!!!!!

Very Nice! I would highly recommend the 2nd floor!

Our overall stay was great! I would highly Recommend staying on the 2nd floor just bc you have the luxury of taking the stairs instead of waiting on the elevator. My only complaint is there was a mildew stain on our shower curtain, otherwise, very clean!

Relaxing vacation right on the beach.

The condo I rented at The Tidewater was perfect! It was bright and clean with a beautiful view of the ocean. I enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend this particular unit. The resort itself had the most frustrating elevators I have ever experienced. I was on the 2nd floor so only had to use the elevators to get to friends condos on other floors but my friends had to deal with the problem continually.

Second Floor location is everything!!!!!

This unit is awesome. It’s kinda a hidden gem because it’s on the second floor! The walkway from the parking garage is on the second floor!! This is huge! The elevators can get real backed up at Tidewater. But since this unit is on the second floor you never need to use the elevators!!! I repeat, you don’t need to use the elevators! It’s just two flights of stairs down to the beach as well!! This is a huge bonus. The unit was very clean and had everything we needed but the biggest plus about this unit is it on the second floor!!!!

Gulf Coast Jam

Here are some recommendations to improve the condo: -Shower curtains have mold on them -Water damage on ceiling over hot water heater HVAC door -No cutting board, we looked all over -No potholders -No lock on the patio door, we used the big fork to lock -Kitchen sink faucet very difficult to turn on/off, could be a serious problem in the near future -More kitchen towels would be good -Sign on freezer regarding the ice maker looks old and wrinkled, if you don't fix the ice maker you should laminate. We did have a good time, but these simple things could improve future guests stay. You had plenty of blenders, coffee makers, toasters, and hair dryers!

A great temporary home!

The rental was every bit as nice as we expected from the photos and equipped with everything we needed in the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. I was impressed at how soundproof the walls were. We were never bothered or woke up by other guests. The balcony view of the beach was perfect from the 2nd floor. We were also happy to have a parking garage. If there was one disappointment I would have to say it would be the floating inflatables for the kids that were shown out in the gulf in the photos was not there during our stay. After fee’s we felt it was a bit on the pricey side in July but overall we enjoyed the property, we felt safe and relaxed and the kids loved the bunk beds!

Spectacular Views & Quiet Condo

My husband & I had a wonderful stay at the Tidewater through Panhandle Getaway! The Condo, although showing a little bit of it's age was very spacious, clean and the views wer spectacular. The Tidewater building was maintained by very delightful and helpful staff that make sure you are staying in a very safe location. The only thing they didn't let us know about upfront was the cost for the parking. Although minimal, it's nice to know up front. We came for the ThunderBeach Rally so if you're looking to stay here next year and you have a truck/trailer that won't fit in the garage, the property owners across the street charge $30/day for parking.... Very nice to have!!!! Thank you again for sharing your place with us. We will be back!!! :-) ~ The Martins from Louisiana

Needs improvement!

There were several things that kept occurring and a huge lack of concern or communication. Power surges for several days and no reasons or acknowledgement of it at all. Strong smell of natural gas in a daily basis from our balcony and still no concern. I personally called the local gas company because I was that concerned. They supposedly came out and said they couldn’t find a leak. As of yesterday, you could still smell it. Also no movie card for renting with this company. Seems ridiculous and petty. I couldn’t even purchase one for my father so he could watch movies. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this property again.

Our condo was very nice it was clean and nicely decorated. The only thing was the ice machine in the freezer was broken had to use the ice trays. Would definitely stay there again.

Tidewater vacation 👎🏻

Tidewater is an old run down place. It needs a serious makeover from the condos to the grounds. Who ever cleans the units needs to be replaced. The walls are paper thin and you can hear clearly everything in the condo on both side of you and above you. We came to rest and sleep in, but it’s hard to do when your neighbors are up at 6am. We will never stay at Tidewater again.

I just have 1 issue wit the stay. I always go room to room when I arrive & the 1st thing we noticed was the front door had a broken hinge. I called the # & was told maintenance would come that day maybe around 10 a.m.& that we did not have to be there, we were in the room that day until 11 or so & no one ever fixed the door. I have pictures of the door that I didn't want this to be on me!! & the weather was not so good this time I have never been to Florida & it come so many bad storms :( o well it was still a good time had.

Our condo was not ready by 4:00 pm. It was not available until 7:30 pm that evening. We did receive a refund for that evening. However, they messed up our reservations and we were told we had to leave the condo the next day because their records indicated we were there for one day instead of three weeks. After several calls and speaking to several people the problem was resolved. They said it was a computer problem. We were promised we would receive something for this problem. Never heard from them again. The mattress was very worn and a little mildew in the second bathroom. Otherwise, condo was nice.

Pleasantly Supprised

I have never stayed in a lower level unit for fear of noise when I was ready for some quiet time. This 2nd-floor unit was far enough away from entrances and pools where you didn't hear anything. Not having to wait in long lines for an elevator was a big bonus when arriving and departing. The walk over to the parking garage is on the 2nd floor.

The room was great. Resort was great

Loved the room and the location in the resort. Had second floor room down from the elevator. Would stay at the resort anytime again. I will not however book through panhandle getaways again. Checkin time was 4:00, they didn't start cleaning the room until 6:00 and we didn't get into the clean room until after 6:30. To make things worse, when I called them to ask when the room was going to be cleaned, while sitting in the dirty room. , I was told that they were cleaning it right then. I told them that I was sitting in the room and nobody else was there. They were lying to me on the phone and I caught them in it. Completely unacceptable way to start a vacation when you need to purchase food to put in the room. Also there were no towels in the room and had to call multiple times to finally get them. I was told that someone would contact me concerning the issues, still holding my breath waiting on that call. I will never use this company again.
