Poor Accommodation.
Accommodation set 160 steps up plus steep road away from beach.
Very poorly equipped needed to ask owner several times for things. (One knife in cutlery drawer, cracked mug)
Communication with owner very poor when I did make contact I was told a time to be at property and was left waiting outside for ages in intense heat. Eventually entering property myself as all unlocked and doors open, assumed it was what they intended us to do.
Owner then approached us saying why didn’t we knock he lived downstairs! At a loss to know how we were supposed to know that when we never received that information info. Tried speaking with company dealing with booking and they were unhelpful to say the least, not recognising any of our booking details.
The two bedrooms are split across a communal staircase which meant our friends were locked out of the kitchen and balcony at night when we locked our outside door. This in our view does not constitute an apartment. Had we had children with us we would have had to split adults and children between the rooms for safety, I don’t care how safe a foreign country supposedly is, I have a right to lock my front door wherever I am and didn’t encounter this problem in the next two properties we visited.
As there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms one extremely small kitchen (not adequately equipped to cook in) a balcony and no indoor seating area when it rained we had to retire to our bedrooms as there is no overhead shelter from sun or rain on the balcony.
