About this property

There are 3 bedrooms, 3 sofa beds and three baths. On the main floor there are 2 bedrooms with queen beds - one with private shower bath, the other shares the main floor full bath. The second floor has a large bedroom with a king bed, a queen size sofa bed and private bath. Across the hall is a reading area with twin sofa bed that overlooks the first floor living room. There is a well furnished kitchen and a recreation room providing storage for skis, snowboards, bicycles, etc. It is also a hangout for children and adults to play games, foosball, ping pong, pool table and enjoy a sauna. It is our apres ski room, used to shed big coats, ski boots and ski boards before coming into adjoining house.

Great spot!

We stayed here to snowboard at Bridger Bowl. It was a great location just across the street from Bridger. We really liked the property. It was spacious enough for 8 adults. I would definitely stay here again.

Family Trip with Adult Children

We wanted to vacation where we could not only ski but also explore the area as we have never been to Montana. My husband and I have 3 adult boys and one of them brought their girlfriend. It was important to me to allow the girlfriend to have her own room and still be plenty of space for the boys, my husband and myself. This house was perfect! The boys took upstairs where there was a king size bed, a queen sofa, a futon and two roll away beds. They also had a bathroom for themselves. We stayed downstairs in the master (attached bath) and she had the other downstairs bedroom. We explored and had fun during the day and then relaxed in front of the fire or in the game room in the evenings. The game room was the dream of my husband and the boys - equipped with a ping pong table, pool table, foosball, darts, a putting green, video game and the best sauna ever. In the game room there was even a refrigerator for the drinks. Check in was super easy and Fred had the lights on when we arrived. The house was really well stocked with anything that you might need. Fred supplied plenty of firewood (it did get -30) and the drive was plowed for our convenience. There were sleds that were used on the driveway after a great snowfall. The house itself is right across the street from Bridger Bowl for convenient skiing, however it is set back in the trees so you feel as if you are the only house around. There are plenty of woods to hike if you are so inclined. We would definitely return!

Fabulous mountain retreat!

This classic ski cabin was perfectly suited for our extended family. It accommodated our family of 10, (ages 15-55) with spacious living and sleeping areas. The game room, plus sauna was an amazing bonus as was proximity to Bridger bowl and cross country ski trails. We most definitely would rent this home again!

Great spot with perfect Bridgers Access

We booked this property because our son’s wedding was at the Deer Park Chalet at Bridger Bowl, right across the street. The house is comfortable and spacious, and had everything we needed. Beautiful view and easy access to a variety of hiking trails. Making the choice to stay in the canyon meant we had a 25 minute drive into town, but we had known that. We didn’t have enough time to really take advantage of the wonderful Rec Room but we did enjoy some ping pong and pool. We had a little trouble getting connected to WI-FI but Fred came and we solved that issue quickly. I will note in case it’s helpful to others that there is Good cell reception for T-Mobile and Verizon but none for AT&T.

Bridger with friends

The location of this rustic mountain cabin is perfect for skiing at Bridger Bowl. Having three bathrooms was a plus. The heating system and dishwasher are noisy.

Perfect Hideaway

Attended a wedding over the weekend, & this was a wonderful spot to relax. Great space, very comfortable and beautiful views. The hosts were very accommodating & helpful. Right across the road from Bridger Bowl ski area—would be perfect for skiers & boarders.

Graduation weekend family retreat

Beautiful get away location that was still easily accessible to Bozeman for the MSU graduation weekend. Everything was perfect. The house was very nice. Lots of sleeping options. Game room was a blast. Hikes on the property were beautiful. No cell service for AT&T (Verizon service was good) and WiFi not working.

Tempted to lie so it's available in the future

If you are seeking fancy, sterile, big-city rental experience, this is not for you. If you want authentic MT in a comfortable home that feels like it belongs to family, you've found the right place. Everything was so thoughtful (firewood! recycling! cozy towels!) and every single one of us slept well and had a fantastic time. The proximity to the ski hill is as good as it gets for the area, and the game room, fireplace, and sauna were a huge hit with the family. We will absolutely be back!

Very peaceful- beautiful scenery- house was great… everything was perfect— only minor recommendation to update WiFi and was slightly disappointed that the sauna did not work— but we thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

Mountain house

We absolutely loved this place. Plenty of room for us and 2 teenage boys. Game room was a HUGE success!! Deer and elk came onto property everyday. Owner called periodically to check if we needed anything which was nice. HIGHLY recommend this place.

Bridger bowl ski trip

We weren’t sure exactly how close the property was to Bridger Bowl ski resort- it is literally across the road from the entrance. Kids loved the house/cabin with a fun game room and sauna. We had a blazing fire every night. It is the perfect place for an extended family to stay and enjoy skiing. Great trip!!

Beautiful location.

Enjoyed evenings and mornings on the porch overlooking the beautiful views. Great fire pit. The game room was fun for the kids and adults. The house had everything we needed to make our meals. Close to some great hikes.

We have lived in Montana for over 40 yrs. We moved from Billings to Bozeman 22 yrs ago and wouldn't live anywhere else. We love to ski, golf, hike, bike, garden and experience the many exciting event happening around Bozeman year round!

Why they chose this property

We recently bought this amazing property because our grown children love to get together with their kids and they were growing out of our home. We love the location of this property because its just minutes from our home and provides the kids (and grand-kids) with much to do! Whether it's a ski weekend or a summer vacation, this has become their destination of choice. We wanted other families to enjoy this as well so decided to make it a rental property. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

This property is tucked away in a quiet valley on 12 acres between the Bridger and Bangtail Mountains. It is located across the street from Bridger Bowl Ski Area and 1 mile down the road from Bohart Ranch for cross country skiers. It is also minutes from biking and hiking trails. It really has it all!
