Great house for groups.
We stayed as a group for the New Year. It was perfect for a group with lots of space to move about and a fun ‘game’ space in the basement. Also many rooms/bathrooms that make it easy to share the house with friends.

Christmas Getaway
This property was great for hosting our family Christmas functions. We were able to sleep 4 couples and 3 children without any trouble. What we enjoyed most were the entertainment areas. Over the course of 2 days we spent most of it together playing pool, ping pong and board games. I would recommend this to everyone that is looking for a spacious stay.

Recommend!
This was the perfect home for us to host a large group of family in town for a weekend wedding. The house was clean & spacious. The neighborhood is peaceful & quiet. It's just a short ride to grocery or restaurants. Our family enjoyed their stay.

Spacious lovely home
We always enjoy our time in your home. Clean and fresh. Thank you. (The utensils in the kitchen have become a little basic and tired)

Nice house, odd management issues
The house was the perfect size for our large group and cost less than purchasing hotel rooms for everyone. But, it seemed as though the house had not been cleaned in quite some time. There were many light fixtures with cob webs and dust all over them, the sink/drain had a horrible smell once we used it, the garage stunk of cigarettes, and the staff did not know the gas line to the grill had been cut (and they didn't remove gloves and old utensils from the inside of the grill from the last time it was used). There were random body soaps and lotions (large left over bottles from other guests?) under all the cabinets yet we had to buy hand soap from the Jewel down the street because the bathrooms had empty hand soap dispensers. Also, we had multiple cars of people driving to meet at the house... I made the reservation, had left no names with any of the staff at this property, etc... yet, the staff gave the keys to the first person who arrived, who they did not know, and didn't even ask for ID.

The property itself was great and very comfortable!
Eileen (the manager) was extremely accommodating, and it was really a pleasure staying at this property.

Extraordinary Week of Family Reconnecting
My family all reconnected for several days after 3.5 years of not having all been together. We had family from Australia, Cincinnati, Des Moines, Los Angeles and Chicago all gather to meet our new grandchildren and renew family ties. This home is perfect for such a gathering - lots of room on three levels; a large deck overlooking a spectacular golf course and huge pond with fountains. There is a pool table, ping pong table and pinball machine all in the lower level. Five large bedrooms (two with adjacent large bathrooms - four with king sized beds). The fifth bedroom (top level of the house) has multiple queen sized beds positioned well for multiple people to share comfortably. The location was beyond compare, with many walking options and biking. The home is located within a very short distance (less than 2 miles) of the charming quintessential Midwestern small town of Woodstock. Woodstock has a picturesque downtown, with an historic square, restored movie theatre and many noteworthy buildings (setting of the movie "Ground Hog Day"). There were several great restaurants nearby, as well as the Bull Valley Golf Club food offerings (had one of the best hamburgers ever at the pub). Golf is available if desired, as is fine dining in the evening. Very large kitchen, ideal for food preparation and social interaction. Beautiful granite counter tops and large stainless steel sink. Beautiful views from every window of rolling hills, mature trees and the golf course. We had a couple of great BBQs and took advantage of the double ovens and large Viking gas (eight burners) stove. Lots of comfortable chairs available with many others available in the garage for larger gatherings. Large wooden table in the kitchen, with tall chairs for use at the island counter. Beautiful dining room with table and chairs for 10-12. Large flat screen TVs in living room, each bedroom and downstairs, with cable and WiFi. Owner's maintenance man stopped by a couple of times to make sure we had what we needed and took away garbage and recycling during the week. The towels and bed linens were of great quality and the washer/dryer were great to have.
