Painter's Cottage in the heart of St Ives, very close to sea front at harbour, great base to explore from! Free WiFi
Painters Cottage is a traditional, 2-bedroom cottage which is in the heart of St Ives. It sleeps 4 in a double bedroom with compact ensuite shower room and a king size bedroom that can also be configured as a twin (2ft 6" bed single beds so the king size is in width only) bedroom. There is also a ground floor shower room wash basin and WC.
This wonderful cottage has been designed with guest comfort at the heart of it. The kitchen is very well-equipped to self-cater for a family of 4 easily. The living room is cosy with a lovely wood burner for the chillier days.
Porthminster beach is an easy 5 minute walk away and the town centre with all of its restaurants, bars and cafes and the harbour is just a couple of minutes on foot.
There is free WiFi throughout the house.
The nearest parking to the cottage is at St Ives train station and is no more than 5 minutes on foot away.
All bed linen, bath towels and utilities are included in the rate.
Please note, the stairs at Painter's Cottage are fairly steep so not suitable for the very young, infirm or anyone who may struggle with climbing steep stairs. It is also in an area of little or no phone reception but this is overcome by allowing WiFi calls on your mobile phone. The washing machine and freezer is housed in a utility shed just outside the back door in a small courtyard which also houses the wheelie bin.

The property is adorable, but the location is perfect! Walk out the door and you are steps away from the shops, cafes, and restaurants. The beaches are just a few minutes walk away.
Beautiful but busy coast . The beaches are brilliant.
ORANGE ROOF APP PROVED POINTLESS . The App would not open hence no access code supplied .which was very annoying as no help regarding important info
We loved staying in Painters Cottage! The “welcome hamper” featuring Cornish goodies was greatly appreciated. The location is terrific, close to shops, restaurants & minutes from the harbour. The beds are very comfortable with high quality, soft linens. Although the steep stairs leading to the bedrooms are somewhat tricky there are grab handles strategically placed to assist. Orange Roofs are very efficient & a pleasure to deal with……thanks for your prompt communication.
This was a lovely 2 bed cottage with great attention to the furnishings and decor. It was spotlessly clean on arrival and the central location was ideal. The beds were extremely comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There were only two of us but I think a family of four would struggle with no washing machine
We had a wonderful week at Painters Cottage. The cottage is in a brilliant location and only minutes from the beach/shops/restaurants.
Cleanliness was an extremely high standard and the cottage has been decorated tastefully. We would stay here again.
This cottage is great for a short stay and 2 people. It is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The position could not be better just 100 yards to the front of St Ives. There are 2 downsides to staying at this cottage it is very small and in my opinion it is not large enough for 4 people. Also the parking is a nightmare booked a weeks parking at the railway station for £47.00 but if you leave your space it is almost impossible to find one when you return. If I was to stay in St Ives again I would not book a cottage that did not have parking. Having said all this we had a great time and the cottage was very good.
Beautiful cottage, great location, spotlessly clean, tasteful furnishings and high standard of decoration. Our Christmas week stay was all too short! Want to come back...
An excellent property just as advertised, location was the best for the local town and amenities
From start to finish excellent communication with all the necessary information required. Would highly recommend this property together with Orange Roofs.
A fantastic property worth every penny. Superb location, couldn't ask for more.
This is a beautiful little cottage in the centre of St Ives. I thought the parking would an issue but not at all. There is sufficient parking, reasonabley priced and easy to do, download the app. We had a lovely 3 nights, I'm sure the log fire helped. Will recommend and would definitely go back. Thank you.
Well appointed cottage, ideally located in St. Ives.
Painters Cottage is a lovely, well- appointed Cottage that is ideally located in central St. Ives, within short walking distance of all its attractions. The apparent recently renovations are well done and the property is ideally for anyone coming to this part of Cornwall. We highly recommend it!!
Painter's Cottage is a perfect place to stay in St Ives. Tucked away on a quiet lane, it is just steps away from the harbour and charming high street. Very comfortable and beautifully appointed, just as shown online. Well-managed, with thoughtful pre-visit information and exceptional service, to guarantee a good holiday. Definitely deserves a 5 star rating!

Beautiful cottage in the heart of St Ives
Extremely well appointed. Loved the interior decoration, wood burning stove, Smart Tv s, central heating. Cottage is cosy but really comfortable. Everything is of a high standard from the beds to the fluffy white towels. Brilliant position in the centre of town a few streets behind Fore Street shops and 2 mins walk to the harbour and all those wonderful restaurants and beaches.

It was simply beautiful...exquisitely charming.
We had a wonderful stay at Painters Cottage which was very tastefully decorated and furnished with a clear attention to detail. It was beautifully clean and well equipped. It’s central location meant that everything was within such easy reach. We had some wonderful food at various restaurants and enjoyed some great shopping. The landscape and views of the sea are spectacular and I can see why artists are fond of this area.
We will be back...thankyou Painters Cottage. Julie TS

Lovely small cottage
Lovely comfortable cottage. Unfortunately couldn’t get the central heating on. Instructions didn’t match thermostat so bit cool in the evening & damp towels as towel rail was connected to the heating.
Agent tried to help but to no avail.
Other than that it is a lovely small , well equipped cottage. Very central , nicely furnished, beds comfortable. The sink in the bathroom is a cloaks sink so tiny but you couldn’t get a bigger one in there. Stairs are steep. This wasn’t a problem for us but might be for other people. I would stay there again.

Cute Cornish cottage
A cute little cottage with everything you need. Loved that it had two shower rooms; one on suite and bedrooms were a decent size. The position was very central to everything in St Ives but due to being in the town and on a road that people cut through it could get a bit noisy.

This property is in a good location, parking a nightmare
The property is beautifully decorated/furnished, a bit small for 4 I think I think maybe 2 adults at a push 3
Well equipped dining wise , the welcome gifts were lovely
It can get a bit noisy at night as it's a bit of a thoroughfare to and fro from the pubs but it is a lovely place so worth putting up with. We would stop again but with no car on the train probably

Superb cottage in heart of St Ives
What a gem of a cottage! It is cosy, welcoming and warm. We just had to walk a minute and we were on the harbour front watching the seals in the evening and the beaches are really close by too. We parked in the train station which wasn't far away at all but when we went out for a day trip and lost our space we parked at the leisure centre and it took just 5 minutes to walk back to the cottage. The beds are comfy and the fact there is wiFi and Netflix meant the kids were entertained too. Definitely recommend staying here and we tell friends and family too.
